Chapter 431: 7.11.4 Its over

A crow storm was the name given to the move that Lucius used and considered the most devastating move a Bloodcrow Knight was capable of unleashing.

A move that Amir had learned about a lot, and he had even considered learning it when he reached the rank of Master, all in hopes of dealing with his enemies.

Of course, by the time he entered the ranks of Master, he started to notice how lacking it was in comparison to the things he created on his own.

His main issue was the resources this move required. Although you can control a powerful army of beasts, it still makes you weaker in the end. And if not for support for expensive potions, this move can be considered suicidal as well.

Amir was not the kind to leave his life to chance, nor did he believe the crows he summoned would ever be able to secure him completely.

It’s why he turned his focus on just mastering the three crows he had chosen since long ago. Of course, he can’t show them here, it would be foolish to expose the third one to this crowd. So Amir, looking at his brother getting ready to attack him, tapped the crow on his chest that covered his body.

Which rose up and then with its giant wings slowly landed on Amir’s arm. "Good boy."

An action that confused many in the crowd. They wondered why would Amir abandon his armor.

"A fool?" Some wondered.

Some even wondered if Amir was just arrogant. There were some noble women who had come from afar eyeing Amir’s body, which had been exposed after his crow took off while breaking off his Kameez, exposing his toned body to the world.

A sight that caused the hint of inferiority to rise in Lucius’ eyes, who in comparison turned into a thin stick. But no matter what, by exposing his skin in the open like this, Amir just doomed himself. There is no way he can defend his whole body anymore. The prior mistake won’t be repeated.

While on the other hand, those who seemed to have understood the nature of Amir, knew that things were not as simple as they seemed. The situation was still under Amir’s control, It’s why he didn’t panic and even gave his brother a chance to retaliate.

Otherwise, in the minds of many, the first thing they would have tried would be to stop Lucius from summoning the army of Crows.

"Brother, are you ready?" Amir asked, as the armor crow on his arm put its two wings together to form a wing shield, while the nail crow, perched in Amir’s right palm, and melded into it to form a giant claw, akin to the bird’s talons.

"This... what is this?" Some were confused. The royals have acted on the battlefield for a long while and even during prior exchanges, there were always some Royal family members who tried to earn a name for themselves by showcasing their talents, which mostly amounted to their control of their crows and how they took down a small group of opponents through their careful planning.

But here, Amir just used two crows which seemed to melt and change their forms, while only keeping their basic applications intact.

"It seems like a foolish move, giving up the security of your body to create a front-facing shield... it’s a bit inefficient." Watching all the murmurs and the red crows that suddenly rose in the sunny sky, Farhad who found the whole event a joke chose to join them.

Those crows appeared delectable to him, so he wondered who was it that ignited his hunger.

And the result?

It was two people, specifically the one summoning countless crows in the sky, and from what he heard from others around him, both of these individuals were Royals. Which turned his face sour only for a little bit, before Farhad controlled himself.

’I am not even sure if my hatred for them is due to Jester or not.’ Farhad really can’t be sure anymore. He doesn’t know how much he has been influenced by Jester. Or whether this hunger he felt while looking at those two had anything to do with his bloodline or just another one of Jester’s little games.

"Knight Thorp, I wonder who do you think will win in this battle?" Farhad wondered over what this experienced old man thought of this situation.

Currently, in between the gathering of young people, Old Thorp stood out from the rest, but none cared to look at him, for their eyes were attracted to the battlefield.

"This, I can’t say. This Prince Amir obviously has a stronger body, but he loses in momentum to his opponent. He shouldn’t have abandoned the armor." Even Thorp thought the same.

With his years of experience on the battlefield, and even experiencing the true might of the Bloodcrow bloodline during the war with Sumire, Thorp understood the horror it was capable of unleashing.

"Those birds have annihilated an entire legion of enemies without giving them a chance to fight back. I don’t see any way for Prince Amir to win in this battle." This was his assessment after fully knowing the true strength of Bloodcrow Bloodline.

Although Amir’s abilities were a bit different from others in his family, he made a mistake by focusing his strength on the individual rather than the group.

How can one protect just one front when you are completely surrounded by enemies?

That was the question that Amir had no answer to. As long as Lucius willed, whatever part of the body that is not protected by the shield will be eviscerated by the crows.

Not to mention, there were sensory crows hidden among the bunch, which can create illusions of all kinds.

Making it impossible for Amir to ever find his target.

No, there is a high chance that he would already be in an illusion, which would explain his inaction.

But Farhad, who heard such words can only shake his head in denial. "I don’t think that is going to be the case at all."

Farhad’s eyes can see the vitality of an individual, and although this talent was somewhat useless when it came to assessing the strength of mages, for Knights, his sense was absolutely perfect.

"It will be a complete defeat for Prince Lucius." Farhad can see it clearly, even with all those summoned creatures made of blood writhing in the arena, hoping to puncture the body of Amir.

Farhad can see that even with all of their vitality combined, they can’t compare to the energy that was hidden inside Amir.

It was like a small candle flame facing a forest fire.

And it was as he expected.

The crows cawed in the sky, rushing toward Amir’s body suddenly finding that he had long disappeared from their sight.

No, it was hard to fight his body at all as he kept jumping around like a monster, causing cracks wherever he stepped.

Even absurd was the state of his pants and shoes, which burst apart under the pressure of such movements, making Amir appear like a barbarian.

But none dared to have any odd thoughts about him. As they can see with each movement, whatever crow dared to touch his body, they were instantly turned into a puddle of blood due to the impact of his shield and the slice of his claws.

A scene that left everyone absolutely stunned.

"This can’t be." Even Thorp found these movements absurd. He can see how the crows never even got the chance to strike Amir from the back due to his absurd movements.

He was just slamming the crowd of crows wildly, never even using any tactics.

As there was no need for it in such a small arena.

Instead, this gave him an advantage.

Or so it might appear to most people.

But there was a tactic. A tactic that only someone with Amir’s calculative power can depend on. ’34 points done, 14 left.’

His senses were completely overwhelmed, he couldn’t trust his hearing, sight, or any sense of smell. All of them were being manipulated by the surrounding crows.

So what of it?

Even if he can’t depend on his senses, the same can’t be said about his mind, which had long created a grid map in his head.

Using the process of trial and elimination, he started to fill in the blanks.

The amount of steps he took in a direction, the boundary of the arena, and the amount of impact he felt on his shield.

Everything was calculated by him.

But to the outside, it just seemed like a wild animal going ballistic in search of his opponent.

Of course, none of such thoughts were in Lucius’ mind. All he felt at this moment was dread.

’Monster!’ Amir was like a truck, crushing everything in its way.

And with how many times this struck just moved beside him, the fear inside Lucius was replaced by regret.

Just a touch would be enough to crush Lucius’s bones, while he can’t seem to do anything against that shield of Amir.

"I..."

"Found you!!" And before he could even say that he was giving up, a blade came and directly struck Lucius’ face.

*Bang

Came the sound, as the mage overseeing the battle created a water wall between the two Princes

While some other water balls floated in the air and captured the crows that still seemed to be aiming for Amir.

"I believe that there is no need to further carry this exchange." Came the voice of a woman.
