Chapter 409: 7.06.1 Do you know his backing?
A delay of six months had already taken a toll on Hemant, it’s hard to say how long those lower-quality drugs and the artificial hearts can sustain his life. So a month-long delay just made Amir wonder if he should have directly administered the blood to Hemant.
Sadly, it was not possible as he had just arrived a couple of days ago and there was no one dependable enough in Amir’s circle that he could trust with this job besides his Grandfather, who obviously lacked the greed to steal such candy from his grandson.
I meant only one thing.
’I have to wait.’ The world was unpredictable as always.
Originally, this place was meant to be his chance to show his talents and accumulate achievements on the battlefield. But due to the curiosity of General Vera, he got to work on his dream project, which his grandfather had made Amir abandon due to many important things in his eyes.
Then while he was looking at the facility where he would work in the future, he met a kindred spirit by the name of Faust, or one should say Commander Faust, who seemed as much learned in his field of studies as Amir was. No, due to experience and the creation of the mage armor, Commander Faust had long exceeded Amir’s dreams.
The only thing he lacked lack of the perspective of a commoner mind like Amir’s. Who can see things that others might not so easily?
Then there was the fact of looking for the trouble that Jester had been planting in the military and that trouble had found Amir on his own and even gave him the cure to Hemant’s injury.
Making it all appear so easy. But that was the limit of Amir’s luck or the fortuitous coincidences that brought him to this level. As of now, he knows that he can’t help his Hemant until his grandfather is done with his job.
While for the vial itself that contains the blood of a Progenitor demigod?
Amir hid it inside his thigh, which was done using a simple blade and some healing potions.
As for the fear of it breaking while inside of him? That was next to impossible, as the vial that the blood was contained in can already be considered a powerful artifact that won’t ever be broken so easily. So Amir was sure that this was a good way to hide this thing.
He also hoped that the anti-tracking measures that were done on his body as a member of the Royal family would also shroud the vial as well. ’Hoping this hides it from the prying eyes.’

In his room, Ludwig was listening to the reports in the camp, the story of how a particular weapons cache was raided along with some general gossip going around the camp.
But none of it interested him anymore.
’He hid it.’ Ludwig can’t help but appreciate this cousin of his even more.
There was some truth to the fact that Ludwig had placed a tracking hex on the item. Of course, his true intentions regarding these actions were a tad bit different from what one might assume.
He just wished to see how Amir would react. An answer, which he got within just an hour of Amir’s departure. "My Lord, is it really right for you to hand over something so precious, so easily?’ Sarlen asked this question after the review was over and most of Ludwig’s attendants had left.
"Ho, you think Amir is not worth it?"
"I believe General Vera won’t just put anyone into Sector 32 unless he sees some potential in them." Sarlen was obviously talking about Amir, saying that Amir should be capable enough for his talents to be noticed by the general.
But that was it. "I considered Prince Amir on his own to be a great man with a greater future if nothing bad happens. The only issue is his background."
"You think he is not worth investing due to his lack of connections, do you?’
"No one knew the existence of such a prince until a few months ago, and that too only for a little after the incident in Luthanza... Which when compared to the ages when most of the Royals debuted in the world, it seemed a bit too late." Amir was over thirty years old at this stage of his life.
Although he was strong and considered monstrously talented for being in the ranks of Master for his age, he was still unknown for most of his twenties, making him virtually mediocre in the eyes of many people, including the Royals, who never considered Amir a threat even though he held so much power.
"Ho, I will stop you right there Sarlen, as it would seem you are unaware of who is behind Prince Amir."
"What do you mean, my Lord?"
"I don’t know if I should say this..." Ludwig wondered for a bit before smiling and explaining the situation of Amir’s background to Sarlen.
Hearing such words turned paler the more he heard the details. "He is backed by that existence." Sarlen Sweated profusely, knowing how much of a dunce he was to stand outside of Prince Amir’s room.
In a way, his action can be considered a way to coerce an unknown prince with the backing of his Lord. Or even worse.
And if the word of it were to reach Grand General.
"Lord, isn’t this too dangerous? What if he complains about us to the Great existence?"
"Don’t worry. From what I know of this cousin of mine, he is not interested in Royal politics and as long as I promise him good things as well as freedom, he won’t mind us using his name.’
"... So you put such a special item on the table... to borrow his name?" And by borrowing his name, it would be the same as using the name of the Grand General.
"Ho, not just that, but I bet that the first thing my cousin will do is give that Vial to the Grand General... he might already know about us by this point. All I do hope is that he likes our gift."

The following days after meeting with his cousin were inconsequential if one were to ignore the little drama and fights he had with some members of Sector 32 due to the theoretical background between the two sides. This is why Amir was so happy to be with them, as these regular debates and discussions during his project were expanding his horizons.
Making the schedule of Amir all over the place.
The time seemed to be moving faster now that he was working on the project he loved, but this also made it harder to manage his time or notice that multiple days had gone by when he hadn’t eaten anything.
It was for this reason, that Amir started to depend more and more on his servant, Lavana Centi, which probably made Centi all the more happy as the bullying virtually stopped considering he was always on the job by the Prince and no one dared to delay any of his actions in fear of earning the wrath of the Royal.
Of course for Centi himself, he found this all really fortunate, as this gave him an excuse to get closer and closer to the place where all sorts of destructive creations were kept, Sector 32.
And although he was never allowed inside, it still gave him the chance to map out the surrounding areas, which included guideposts and regular patrols which were pretty random at times. But Centi understood that there should be a pattern hidden somewhere.
Which he needed to find out on his own.
Of course, due to the randomness he was forced to go there and the times when no visits were allowed. The information Centi obtained was too disjointed to notice any patterns and it would take Centi months before he could succeed.
But the revolution doesn’t happen in a month or so because it takes years and years of preparations.
It’s why Centi was never panicked. Any panic would probably make him noticed by the prying eyes that exist through the military camp.
On the other hand, Centi’s Master, Amir was having the time of his life.
He learned new things and even tried the Mage Armor for the first time in his life.
"Commander, I wonder why you wish to use me as the test pilot, isn’t it dangerous if something happens?"
Don’t worry Prince Amir, as I said before, there is nothing dangerous in the tool you are wearing besides the battery we have created... Just a trial run."
The Armor was thick and bulky. And its controls are pretty clunky, where he can only run the armor in the four general directions using a couple of switches, but that’s it.
"As I expected, those controls are inefficient." The original Mage Armor used magic circles and the fine control of Mages to move around and act as if the whole armor was a real living thing. But mortals as well as knights lack the aforementioned magic power.
It’s why the magic battery was necessary, and even a space for controlling this humanoid tank. But it might be due to the limit of technology, but the giant controls were too clunky to manage.
As for using a Knight’s innate strength to drive the mage’s armor?
That was the stupidest possible thing ever, as the weight of the armor would instead limit a Knight’s potential and then let it blossom like mage armor does with a bunch of mages.
