Chapter 378: 6.12.2 Can’t wait to violate.

The man still dared to lie to me.

Well, no worries. The purpose of his existence was partially completed anyway.

"You say, they will dock at night?" Sheva asked such a question just for confirmation. This fact had been known to us since last night, this repeated question was just an assurance. And nothing more.

If the man slipped up now, we would have to abandon the plan and look for some new ways. "I can’t trust a liar like you, who knows if those bastards might sail away under the cover of the night?" I know the truth, I know how they operated and hence knew that there was no lie in these words.

The night was important for one purpose, it was to keep the villagers who might be fishing or farming close by from detecting their existence.

Hence, the distance was necessary.

"I only lose from betraying you." Paradi was no fool. Nor did he hold any strong feelings for his profession. He didn’t mind betraying his employers, who were kind enough to not even put any restrictions on him.

Employers that Paradi knew nothing about, and he was only responsible for giving them money earned through such transactions, while they provided Paradi a platform and connections for him to conduct business.

Such loose set rules were the reason why so many dared to put their hands in such a disgusting business. Most were free to run away from the job if they needed to, with the exception of Paradi’s men, who were under a curse-based contract created by Paradi himself. But he really was an exception, as he himself was free of such restrictions.

"I hope what you say is true... but just to be sure," I say while looking at Sheva, asking for her permission. Who nodded after a while. "Try to survive." She said and I did as was asked.

As dusk arrived and blinded the sight of those that were looking toward the land of Cynark. I jumped into the sea, transforming into what seemed like a finned monkey.

This was the third choice of transformation. A poisonous frog, minus the poison part. As It’s only been a few months since starting my training and due to being busy with a lot of different things, the most that I could do is mutate some gills and have webbed elongated limbs that make it easier for me to travel underwater.

So although some might mistake me for a small monkey due to my dwarven body, I was still a partially transformed frog that could swim underwater.

"Boss really has a good bloodline." Were the envious words of my subordinates as I left them behind with a splash.

At first, it was odd. Which is how it always happens when I try to mimic the frog. But with time, I got in with the flow, swimming without struggle and breathing underwater as if it was always something I had done.

The only issue is my blood, and body, as due to partial transformation, my body still can’t handle long swimming sessions underwater, nor could I go too deep as I don’t have any protective clothing, considering how I lose most of it with each transformation.

But for a distance of just a couple of Kilometers, I could endure such strain on my body. I have to do it all in order to ensure these people bring the ship to the harbor properly.

And in an hour it took me to reach them, my body turned to that of a monkey. Small and agile. I climbed ship under the blind side of all those that were looking over the horizon, some busy with cleaning the deck. And then I hid among the boxes that were left above the ship.

There was no need to kill, not for now.

Nor did I intend to move too soon, considering what kind of figures were hidden not too far from me.

From this, a person opened the door and looked in my direction.

"Ho." He could see me right through the boxes, no, he could detect my life signature, while others couldn’t.

A sign that he had been using the gift I had given him perfectly.

But that was enough, acting as if I didn’t know he had seen me, I looked around the ship, and seeing an opportunity, I rushed for the staff quarters of the ship, leaving Farhad in dust. Wondering, just what a monkey was doing here.

’Jester’s pawn?" He had felt a new life form appear on the ship. A life form that was much smaller in size, but tastier than anything else on this ship. This would have been considered a disgusting thought by me a year ago, but now, I treat it all as normal.

It’s better to accept the reality instead of fighting it, as it always ended up giving me an edge. ’No, there were many rats on the ship, none of them showed any signs of being controlled, neither did this bigger rat notice my presence... which means only one thing.’

It was the pawn of someone new, someone over the horizon, probably on the pier where this ship was going to dock soon. ’He went down below, a safety precaution?" I wondered, before shaking my head.

This was an odd sight, I won’t deny. But this doesn’t change my intentions one bit. I was still going to kill all those on this ship, including the ones on land not too far away.

And they will be the ones to fill my stomach, considering I had been going hungry for the last few days in order to let Captain eat my share, all in hopes that she recovers her strength faster.

But I don’t know if that was the correct choice, considering she had been getting a bit rebellious lately. ’I am treating her like a child... this mentally of mine.’

My precious friend from the other life has grown up fine, he could feel that something was odd, but he chose to ignore it.

This is surprising considering that if it was the old him, Farhad would have obviously run up to Remira to ask for help, or even expose my existence to the rest of the people on the ship. All in an effort to deal with me, as he couldn’t do so himself.

But now what I am seeing?

He is so confident in his strength that he didn’t even bother with reacting to my existence. Now this is a good sign. He is growing as I had expected him to be.

I knew, moving him away from that oppressive knight was the right option.

As for that foolish Knight that has become a perfect pawn for me, her time will come, but that time was not now.

"Twenty people... only around 7 should be enough to steer the ship." I thought looking around and choosing who would get to live among which, the captain was not included, as he was too much of a hassle to control.

So the 1st mate of the ship should be enough. Being only at the apprentice level, he will be easier to control.

As for the rest of these fools, although they helped around the ship from time to time most were there to manage the slaves and act as grunts when needed.

The seas were never safe and more so when you are using an illegal route where there are no military patrols.

******

It was around night when the trio of Number Two, Remira, and Farhad were called over the deck by the captain, who seemed to carry a happy smile. "The ship should be landing soon, so I hope you be ready to pay the rest." He claimed shamelessly while looking at Number Two, who seemed a lot thinner than she was before.

This was only because the food on the ship was just that bad, she only ate the bare minimum and chose to give the rest to Remira again, so that she would recover her strength faster.

"You dare to ask for the full amount, even after what your men did?"

"They suffered for it and one even died, so I believe we are equal on that front." he bargained, showing himself as if someone pitiful. Making Selene complain some more, over the bad service the ship had and some more dirty glances that were thrown their way.

Which finally made the Captain back down and agree to just take half of the previous amount. "You should have said so from the start, why waste our time?" She said proudly, or so the captain thought.

Who couldn’t wait to violate this annoying woman?

And it won’t be long, as he steered the ship without giving himself away in any way.

He knew that all the money on these people would belong to him soon, including the woman of this group. But he still made such an act in an effort to fool them into thinking that the contract they made still stands.

No, the contract was broken the moment they had stepped their foot on the boat. The captain had no desire to let these two fresh lambs leave his ship. They will belong to the ship and then belong to some noble in Azad, that was his plan from the start.

That is, if not for the little accident in between and learning that the fools who climbed his ship were a lot more dangerous than he had expected.

But no worries, it’s never too late to learn and adapt. Although that weird Knight is stronger than him, what of a powerful curse user?

’It should be Paradi this time... he is perfect when taking out Knights.’
