Chapter 363: 6.07.2 Seed attack.
The restriction in the might of a royal guard like Hemant is impossible to crack. He will die before turning to my side and becoming my pawn. Which was the least of my issues, as I know little of this man, know little on how to sing the tunes I want.
He is a mystery to me, a dog that would never turn back to bite its owner.
So how will I progress with the plan?
"Remember to stay your hand. We are not to kill."
It would be harder for one to hold back when the opponent was a Master ranked Knight. His abilities that of the Tauran also made him someone with high endurance, or so I believe due to the blood he carries.
But what is the true nature of the Tauran bloodline, I don’t know. Nor do I intend to find it out.
Luthanza was a cursed state, whose only purpose was to act as a supplier, so there was little life to be found in the state with the exception of farmers or miners in the area as well as the community that was built by them.
Small communities connected with railways and not any proper roads in between.
This whole state was developed in such a way that it would be harder for foreigners to pass through it unless they used the railways, which currently were facing a problem.
Meaning, there is time, as well as no time. Because after a while Hemant is going to find an active railway line, not impeded by prior bombings, and using his resources, he might leave my grasp for good.
Which can’t happen.
He is the perfect being to keep watch over Amir with, losing him means I would lose a very good seedling and whose mind was more precious than the blood that flowed in him.
So we waited, he reached the close by village and rested for the night, unaware that there were people trailing him and setting traps on all the potential paths he might take.
Or was he?
I can see the odd little things he did, things that would go unnoticed by common eyes like leaving the window open, or not checking while eating the food that the village chief provided.
Things that seemed as if he was welcoming people to harm him, but I kept them at bay and warned others against acting.
Being the Knight of a Royal had its advantages, like possessing items that would let him know if there were dangers on the horizon or dangerous gazes aimed at him. It’s probably one of those because I don’t believe someone with a Taurus bloodline would beagle to detect any of us who hid in the dark.
’The revolting smell, the bits of piece of food on his lips which he just washed off. As I expected, he never intended to eat that food.’ I saw this man who just puked the food after seeing that no one bit his bait.
Or there was nothing wrong with food, to begin with, but no problem being sure.
’A Taurus, does he really have four stomachs like a normal cow?’ I wondered if his insides were the same as that of a cow as well. Then again, I also grew some extra organs while transforming into different beasts, so it wouldn’t be odd if that was the case with Hemant.
’Go to sleep again.’ I thought to myself and he did it. Hemant went to sleep as was expected of him.
Which was a sign that we had to attack him.
This was the perfect opportunity that won’t come again.
But we didn’t act. I need to be sure his guard is down, only then would this plan work.
"Isn’t this fun Miss Sheva? I feel like a beast eyeing his prey."
"A jumpy prey that might crush you or run away the moment you show your head. So don’t get too excited and just wait." Sheva ordered, and I listened on the side with a bright smile on my face. A smile was once considered ugly and still is.
"In his perspective, we are either enemies or friends who consider him an enemy. We are in Luthanza, and there are loads of undercover agents in the village waiting to report any foreigner they come across. And hence there will always be eyes on people like him."
"It’s why I hope it’s the former. So he won’t be ready for what’s to come next."
Seeing that he was truly falling sleep this time, I smiled.
Sheva was the one to give the order as both of us closed in on Hemant.
The others did as was instructed and lit some hallucinatory drugs that we found in the Smuggler’s den mixed with some cow manure that would mask the flavor of drugs with a smell and smoke that was prevalent all over the village.
The villages often used a mixture of cow manure and dried grass as fuel while cooking food. So this smell was not so noticeable when mixed with a different kind of grass.
And Hemant really didn’t notice anything wrong. For the first few minutes, nothing really happened as the intensity of the smoke was not strong and with the physique of a knight, it would be harder for him to get high.
But what it really did was to send the half-asleep him into complete sleep. And the best part?
He didn’t even notice when he completely fell asleep.
"The opportunity is here," I say as my body turns into a light-footed monkey who rushes to his room and enters it through the window he has left open out of arrogance.
’First the Medal.’ I thought, looking toward the little medal by his bedside.
Touching it would obviously cause some problems, nor could I lift it up completely due to the restrictions placed on the medal. But I have to do it.
So using the nail on my index finger, I treated the medal as a piece of carom and flicked it off the table at such an angle that Hemant was out of range for the Medal’s protection.
Next, I took out a small seed. A familiar seed that I had once planted on my flesh while entering the Root and Harvest temple. And then gently placed it on the Hemant’s chest before he felt my presence.
This was also the most important part of the plan, as the seed needs to touch Hemant’’s flesh, but I can’t place it on his head, as that would mean his death.
So using my small monkey fingers, I gently parted a piece of his shirt and placed the seed.
At the same time, Hemant woke up, surprised to find a monkey in the room so close to him.
"You." He shouted as his body showed signs of changes.
But it was already too late. "Stupid," I said in a high-pitched voice, unlike that of the previous me.
And followed by my voice, the seed dug deep into his flesh before he could move and stopped him in his tracks.
"No protection on the flesh, it would seem the royals don’t care about you," I said dragging my arm across his. While Hemant looked at me with horror and confusion.
"You have just turned into an unmoving meadow for the seed. A garden of sorts that can’t move."
"Well, things would have been better if you hadn’t awakened your blood, but you did while it was right above your heart... such a foolish decision," I said, looking at him with a smile on my face that turned a morphed slowly into a human, which seemed odd considering my body was still that of a small monkey.
Then it turned to the face of Hemant, who didn’t understand what he was looking at. "Don’t worry, I am not foolish enough to use this tactic on someone of your identity, all I need is your brain, the rest can go and turn into manure for the seed I just planted."
I said, as my body turned larger and stronger, until reaching the partial transformation state of the bull, which made me look somewhat similar to a Tauran. "So goodbye my new friend," I say lunging toward his head.
But then a bullet came and hit me right on my arm, causing it to bleed a little. "There were others?" I asked in horror as some more shots arrived before a shout came from the village.
The sound woke people up, including certain special people hidden among the villagers, who rushed to the scene as fast as they could.
"Fuck..." I shouted in anger, before reverting to a monkey and running out of the room, or chance being found out.
"Seems like I have to look for someone else," I say these words while leaving the room.
And it was not long before then, that the villagers burst into the room and found Hemant being stuck in a paralyzed state, unable to move or speak a thing.
The most he could do was breathe and move his eyes for a bit. That was the only sign that he was alive.
As for me?
I ran and ran until I came to the meeting spot with a bleeding arm.
"Do you really have to make it so close?... I might have actually been shot right there." I say, dropping the small pouch of fresh blood that we extracted from some rats.
"Then don’t move so much." She said as she disassembled her gun. "Also, how did it go?"
"I just did as was asked... I don’t know what master intends to do with that disgusting seed. But I will just humor him for now."
