The God of Jesters
Chapter 362 - 6.07.1 He is here.

Chapter 362: 6.07.1 He is here.

" Madam Silver Glade is calling for me?" Recalling the scary woman that even Jester feared, a smile appeared on Vegal’s face.

"I will leave in 10 minutes." Asking his assistant to get the car ready. Vegal abandoned the report and washed his body as fast as he could.

He needs to look presentable in front of the one that controls his nation. For she was the boss of his boss and his only way to crawl out of Jester’s shadow.

’Seems like she appreciated my creations.’ With a big bright smile on his face, he washed his body and injected some oil into his joints so that they didn’t make any noises when he was in the meeting.

"Let’s go... What is this?" Coming out of his office, Vegal asked in confusion over the notes that his assistant held in his hand.

"This came a few minutes ago. Master’s orders are that this report is for your eyes only." The term master meant only one thing.

A man without any official position, but loads of power, he was the one and only jester. And his assistant was also part of the small church he had started.

A church in name only, whose real purpose was espionage and spreading chaos among enemies. With each member being a die-hard supporter of Jester. So if his assistant spoke these words. It meant that the new report he held was important.

Much more important than he had assumed.

’Nothing wrong with giving it a look.’ Thought Vegal as he picked it up just as a formality.

But who would have thought, by the time he was finished, an hour had gone by and there was another message from the Tower Master. "Bring the report you were handed just now. I am curious."

There was no anger over his tardiness, just a common waiting to be fulfilled. But Vegal knew very well that he had messed up.

’You bastard should have sent this research after my meeting.’ Vegal cursed, but he didn’t dare to have any ugly thoughts about Jester due to the contract that he was forced under. All he could do was agree to her order and grab the notes on Electric motors that Jester got his hands on somehow and climbed into his car.

It was time for a terrifying meeting.

I hoped he would love it, the gift I sent after much effort. As for me, I walked in the fields, far away from the Planc colony, and enjoyed the scenery that would soon turn to hell.

"A monkey?’ A farmer’s child cried while pointing at me with a stick. Attracting the attention of his friends who then turned to look toward me found nothing.

As I had long hid in the grass and moved away to this point.

"The bloodline transformation also affects mentality a bit. I had the desire to lunge at the kids for a moment." Lakram’s bloodline was useful. Lacking direct combat ability was not much of an issue when you could turn into anything your heart desired. Of course, there are limits and certain restrictions with each use, with a slight chance of complete possession by Lakram.

But it’s worth it, considering the number of morphs I have been able to achieve in the past year.

Although the species morphs were limited to a bull, monkey, and dwarf. But with enough control over my flesh and regular practice, I had forcibly awakened an ability that Max only obtained when he reached Master rank.

The ability to freely copy faces and physiques of other dwarfs or beings closer to dwarves, like humans.

A feat that required a higher level of practice and control than someone of Max level could even hope to achieve.

A perfect organism of the likes that the world has never seen.

Of course, everyone’s definition of a perfect organism differs. Which makes me almost competitive. I want all of them to know who is obviously superior. The perfect bloodline that would one day be named alongside the Blood of Radiance.

I walked and walked, and rarely would I find trees in his barren landscape of unending farms. With some people in between or small villages.

This is the true state of Luthanza, due to it being the biggest weapons supplier to Wortham, most of the lands in Luthanza act as resource points with the sole purpose of supporting Wotham in its conquest.

The biggest towns here are around only a couple of thousand people. With the biggest concentration still existing in the Planc colony. Which is easier to understand.

As in a place with a small population, everyone knows everybody. Making it easier for the population to self-regulate and catch any alien elements on their own and report them to the military.

It’s why Sheva was so easily noticed when she was eying the Planc colony before. The same is true for her companions.

It’s why the place he came to was a tad bit unique.

"You are here Crow?" Sheva asked, appearing from the darkness with a burn on the right side of her face. "I can’t hide from your eyes?" I asked, as sounds of broken bones and flesh came from my body, which slowly took the form of a young dwarf. "What happened to your face?"

"This is no place to talk. Let’s go inside." She said, pointing towards the ground and I nodded.

"How did you find a place like this in the middle of nowhere?" I asked while seeing the underground bunker of sorts filled with all sorts of dried products and something fishy in the air.

"Do you know what that is?" She asked, pointing toward a small dried fruit of sorts. I shook my head to show my ignorance.

"Opium, this is a smuggler’s den." At her words, I finally came across the rest of my team, along with the rest of Sheva’s team, who appeared as injured as she was.

The only silver lining was that no one was caught or dead.

"Were you ambushed?" I asked with a serious face. Who knows if they were being tracked as well?

But Sheva just shook her head. "Faulty explosives, it exploded during travel,"

"..."

"Guess it’s fate’s retaliation over our recent actions." I appeared a bit apologetic, making my men worry about me, while the ones under Sheva started to look at me with some mocking gaze.

Ah, I can see that they really treat Sheva as their leader now. Guess her efforts on the field have produced some results.

Later, we talked about our experiences, what we both went through, and some open secrets that we thought were appropriate to be shared.

"How many did you find?"

"A total of 23 potential candidates. The master will handle the rest."

We both were now responsible for prewar preparations. Leaving malaise wherever we walk so as to weaken Wortham.

This was the only thing we could do after our mission had been ailed.

"You were not the one to pull that stunt I factory?’

"Well, I was forced to do it, a woman from Team One asked me to write it down in the factory, drag out the prince. But we obviously failed."

The light heated conversation continued, barring a few ugly details that shouldn’t be talked about. Before we both came to the end and wondered.

"Did master give you any order till now?"

"Not since we had an accident. What about you?’

"He just pointed me in your direction and asked me to find you."

It was during this discussion that something clicked on the right side of the room.

Jingle jangle.

"A wind chime? How did it move?" I asked and Sheva was confused for a bit as well, until she noticed a metal fire connected to it, which was responsible for the pull.

"This is to warn us if there are people above the den."

"Are the owners back?"

"Doesn’t seem like it. Otherwise, there would already be movements on the door."

We stayed silent, wondering who it was and what they were doing here.

Even the thought that the accidental explosion gave the military the idea of which path the terrorist meant Sheva was using during her attacks.

But I shook my head, Sheva can’t be this stupid.

"Let me check," I said, as my body twisted and turned before turning back into a monkey again.

A small monkey climbed out of the hidden path and looked around for a bit, before catching a figure in the distance.

’A human Knight.’

’Alone.’

A smile blossomed on my face again. For I know who this was.

"Hemant."

Amir’s Knight. The one who he sent to find information about me.

What was he doing here?

How did he get here?

Why not use the trains?

Oh, of course.

Sheva destroyed the railway lines.

And predicting the path that Hemant might take while coming back, I even went as far as to suggest Sheva, this wonderful idea which was built by smugglers from Yethel, directly under a merchant company that worked for me.

Isn’t this wonderful?

’What a good timing. This is all worth it now.’

It’s harder to play with the minds of a knight, no, this is the case for most transcendent existence. The stronger they are, the harder it is for me to manipulate them.

So if I can’t use Dreamscape to mess with him. There is always the physical world.

After confirming that Hemant hadn’t noticed me, I sent out an echo in the dreamscape. A message to all those below me.

Once they go to sleep, they will be informed of the plan. The little plan of turning this man into a spy working for me.
