Chapter 353: 6.04.3 Time for you to leave.
Wars are not only fought on the borders or the cities.
Some wars are fought by officers, through letters, diplomacy, and suppression.
Then there are wars like the one in front of Amir. A bright cloud that lit up the colony, even eclipsing the sun.
Before he could understand what was going on, he witnessed the colony being hit by the shockwaves, causing the air to tremble and houses to shake.
Which soon reached his Manor and hit Amir as well, finally making him understand what was going on. "This..." There was no need for words, he could hear some movements behind him, obviously, his guards were going to crash into his room for his protection. But Amir was in no such mood.
One look toward the mirror, then he jumped from the balcony of his manor.
"Prince, it’s not safe, please come back." Shouted one of the soldiers from above, But Amir gave him one look before ordering. "Follow me if you can, but I intend to see this." It was night and the chances of losses on the worker’s side should be negligible.
But that was the issue here.
Zoom~ His steps were lighter than feathers, he moved past the colony and cries of the commoners, some of whom had just gotten home from work and were left with fear in their eyes.
The fear and uncertainty they felt, he had experienced that too, a fear that only people of commoner origins like him understood. Which made him step up his pace, turning almost like a blood mist.
And by the time he reached the closed doors of the colony, a small army was ready to be dispatched. But not to the location of the explosion, but inside the city.
"Prince Amir, what are you doing here?" One of the sergeants at the scene shouted while startled by the sudden arrival of Amir. Who ignored his suggestion pointing toward the tall gate. "Open it." He said.
"Prince, we are still unsure if this is just..."
"I said, open the door."
As he said such words, he felt a few figures flying over his, including a battalion of mages with two archmages at the lead.
"They are going there, And General Musa should return in their place, would you still keep the doors closed then?" Originally, there were two Generals actively protecting the two important points of the Factory District and Colony separately, but since the weird accidents, which might be related to some boogeyman, two more archmages were sent here for security.
"Prince... it’s against the "
"Just do as it’s ordered, or be ready to be discharged from your duties."
At this point, the Sergeant knew that nothing could be done or said, he just twisted his hair in a swinging motion, causing the doors to open up.
It was time for Amir to know what really was going on.

"Odd, our job was just to capture a Prince and his research." Sheva looked in the distance where the small cloud of smoke was rising from. "This doesn’t feel like Crow’s handwriting."
"Which leaves room for a third party." As for whether this third party belonged to Jester’s forces or not, Sheva can’t say for certain.
But one thing she can say for certain is that things just became harder than before for her.
’Or an opportunity, depending on how I exploit it.’ As she had such thoughts, her heart suddenly throbbed at an erratic rate, almost causing her some discomfort. But this was just growing pains for her. She had learned that those belonging to a single lineage bloodline enjoy a faster growth rate of their abilities.
Case in point, Crow, who is already Adept at a young age.
’But this is still not enough, more chaos will mean more chance to act... there is also the chance that the Prince might leave the colony before anything drastic happens. If that happens to begin with.’
The scale of the blast was small, even the damage it did to the life could not compare to the plague that was spread within Duke Wortham’s territory. But what it did was a direct slap to the Cynark military. Obviously calling out that if they can’t even protect a singular factory, how could they protect the people?
And Sheva knew that in a few days, the town she was staying in might be frequented by some powerful figure and even a direct search of each individual’s ID.
None of which were of concern. She had hidden deep, harder for even a Master rank Mage to find her.
Though nothing is ever set in stone, she can’t be complacent. She needs to move along with her men.

"Such a beautiful blast, don’t you think?" Crow asked the men behind him, who all acted confused over what was going on. "Sir, did you know about it?"
"Of course not, and whoever did this caused us a huge problem. Now, more than just two archmages will be dispatched here. More than a hundred mages will walk the streets, looking for people like us... which reminds me."
"The three of you, leave for now."
"Sir, alone might be a bit difficult for you to complete this mission and Mater has asked us to work together."
"Yes, but none of you possess an ability like mine," As I said, my youthful body changed and turned into an old feeble one. "The flesh mask you wore can’t compare to the bloodline powers and there is a high chance of you getting caught... which I can’t afford."
"Leave for now, stay on the horizon and wait for my signal. You will know what the signal is."
"As you say, Leader."
With those words, the three merged with the shadows and disappeared from my sight. Leaving the feeble me alone, who walked into the streets, seeing the soldiers walk past me.
Some gave me a look but most ignored And I did the same, as I was going toward my home.
Or so it looked. ’Found one.’ I said, looking toward a young man who was all alone while coming out of the house of one of the workers, with some gold in his hand. ’Ah, perfect, I won’t have to feel bad about this one.’
Then I followed him and when the time was right, I ended him with a single stab of a broken pipe into his neck. Causing a stream of blood to flow out of it like water from the tap. "Ah Ah... don’t tilt this way, or blood will fall on my clothes," I said, making sure that not a single drop fell on the army uniform the man wore, and the one I will be wearing in the future.
"No, don’t look at me like that... its how life is, one time you are mugging commoners like some common thug, the next moment, this," I said, looking into the pleading eyes of the young man, who wished to speak, but blood sprayed out of his mouth instead, which forced my hands, as I can’t let his blood fall on his good clothes. "Why struggle, just go away," I spoke to the man with desperate eyes.
"Don’t fear death, as reincarnation exists."
With those words, the man took his last breath, and I also changed from old to short and fat like a Dwarf, before turning into a young human with the same face as my latest victim. "The hair and beard might be an issue. Need to use cap for this I suppose."
"Oh yes, I almost forgot." Looking at the dead man, I broke open his skull and gently touched his brain. "Let’s learn as much I can about you."

Not too far away, a tree slowly shook while a face formed upon its trunk. "Has the war started?’’ She thought, recalling Jester’s warning from last time.
But instead of being scared, there was expectation in her eyes. "None of them were lucky enough to hear the trumpet of war." She thought, enjoying the fires that danced on the horizon.
"Even Amir might be scared, wondering if it’s my doing." She laughed, recalling the fool she had met recently.
"Do you really think of him as a fool?" A crow spoke, perched on one of its branches. Which startled the face on the tree for a bit, before she sighed and said with some assurance. "Seems to me that way. But considering you ask such a question, you don’t think as such, do you Master?"
"Correct, the boy is an interesting one, that I can say for certain. So a good find Gazelle."
"It was just luck."
The crow nodded to her, before returning to the topic. "Don’t look down on the boy. He is smarter than you give him credit for."
"I would be wary of him Master."
"I haven’t stopped speaking yet." I gave the face one deep look before saying. "And this time, you have to leave as well."
"But seeing your face, it would seem, you already expected this?"
"Yes master, I know my limits and that old man was already too much for me. If there are more, I would probably turn insane."
"Yes, the true hero is the one who knows their limit and when to back down." With those words, the crow left the weird tree.
Which a while later caught fire, attracting some attention.
But no one was in the mood to deal with a small fire and people let it burn until a few soldiers rushed and drowned out the fire.
A small event at the beginning of a very scary night.
