Chapter 332: 5.16.4 I am going to destroy you.

"See, I was right. Keeping bad company will turn you bad as well." Like a mist in her hand, I spoke words of wisdom, deriding her for killing a child, just to show Sheva her place. "So petty." I said, looking at her.

This body of mine had been collected from Sheva’s mind, and as I lack a proper anchor to the world, it won’t be long before I disperse.

But this time was enough, I could use this as an opportunity to teach this girl some manners.

"Since when did you start caring for children?" She asked while flying through the air, never fearing that I might just expose her location. But she didn’t care. She knew, I won’t do it anymore, as I got what I wanted anyway. "I know you are still angry, but how about a temporary truce? As, believe it or not, I currently do possess enough force to annihilate the house that bounds you."

"Your lies won’t work on me anymore. With the centipede as a proof, I can make Duke Wortham a deal with you and your kind."

"The most that old man will do is send his hound back into my land, harming innocents and the likes, just to satisfy his obsession of keeping his empire eternal. That madman is nothing more than disaster and by proving to him that I exist, all you are doing is giving into his paranoia."

The old bastard that went as far as to kill his only sister’s family, the Bloodhearts just out of paranoia that they might rebel. With Soros being the only surviving victim of it all, who is dead as well.

That old man just needs reasons to use force and nothing more. "So be it, that’s the fate you brought upon these people."

"No, my child, this time, that fate will be brought upon them by you. But don’t worry, my retaliation would be way harsher than you can imagine. So go bring it to him. Expose my existence and see, what happens later."

With those words, my body disappeared from her hand, leaving her all alone.

Well, not so alone considering, as an injured Anna was waiting for her in a cave not too far off.

"Kassandra, you seemed unharmed." Anna seemed happy to find her friend unscathed, before making a pained groaning voice, as a small fairy floated around her, cursing Anna in a language only she understood, while sprinkling her dust on Anna’s wounds, accelerating the healing of them.

Which was odd in itself. "Who did you fight." Kassandra asked, looking that the wounds on Anna looks a tad big different.

"Would you believe me if I say it was just a Master Level Knight with a gun?"

"... This is not possible, you are to be considered the strongest among arch mages, and it’s impossible for even a grandmaster level knight to compare with you... Unless."

"The gun was weird, seemed to be specifically made to counter my kids. And without them, the most I could do was run away from his blade."

It was at this point, Kassandra wondered about Jester’s words. But she was still off the mark by a mile.

Let’s go back a few minutes ago, as Remira threw the Stone Relic in the direction of Kairut’s house. She picked Rashid and rushed out of the city without ever looking back.

It was already good enough that she had long planned this out, and the ocean was not so far off.

But, would that really save her?

Of course not.

With the sound of a gunshot, the flying figure of Remira suddenly experienced immense pain in her abdomen before she crashed directly on the pier, just ten steps away from the sea.

While for the stone, it was collected by a mage that had been following Remira from the darkness all this while and then stood in his spot, waiting for Mystics to come and help him deal with the situation.

"Remira Wyrmwood, you have played with the lives of innocents more than enough. We won’t let the events of Durum repeat in our city again."

The voice of the officer barely registered in Remira’s ears. She was still confused over how she could deal with detect a bullet like she had done so before.

The impact of the bullet was so strong, that it had already left her body by the time she felt its existence. Pain was only in her mind for the last microseconds as she fell in the pier.

Taking advantage of which, she had been surrounded. "You, what are you saying?" Although, she was horrified to learn that a gun was able to cause her this much damage. But more horrific than the bullet were the words that Remira barely heard.

"The truth, we people of this great country don’t plan to remain inattentive like the fools in Cynark. We know that you colluded with the Blue Demons and brought countless beings to sleep, just to revive your wolf god."

The crowd got bigger, existences of greater strength than the one Remira can fathom started to converge in her position.

It felt like everything was over.

And it was, this was the end for Remira. There was no saving her from this.

What did she think here?

Did she really think that waltzing here and then going so far as to expose herself would end good for her? Did she really think, even if she succeeds in winning a pardon by Blue rose, we will let her go unscathed?

She was only immune until she, as long as the game went on. After which, she could do nothing but face death.

But no, death would be too kind for her. Not after what she did to my men.

"Those are lies... what wolf god?" She said, standing up as the hole on her stomach had already healed. But the surrounding soldiers were not surprised by this, it was something common that knights of Remira’s level were able to achieve.

Nor were they threatened by her gaze, which carried immense hatred at this moment. "You ask such questions, but have you looked at yourself? No Radiant Knight covers themselves in white fur." The officer seemed to have the tongue of a snake, as he pointed out Remira’s oddity. "You have probably fallen to that Wolf god and abandoned your previous one."

Whether she wins or loses this competition, I never intended to go too far with Remira, because I didn’t wish to make enemies with Radiant Knights so early.

Although, I wish to fight them and take revenge for what happened to Ikaros, my greatest pawn. Limited by position and strength, I can only remain silent and suffer through it all and be content with throwing them out of the Republic. That’s the most I could afford, as going any farther would make things troublesome for me and the country.

But now?

Now I had some means, in the form of advanced weapons, that are not seen elsewhere on this continent.

Backing in form of two god like existences.

A spy network that spread like a web through multiple overseas organization.

Assassin program that was slowly being developed in the dark, and it won’t be long before they can be dispatched as well.

The future where the whole continent falls into a never ending war is not so far off. So I can afford a little bit of mischief.

A mischief in the form of harming the Chosen of the First Knight. Though, just to be safe, I did say that she abandoned the faith in First Knight and fell to a wolf god. Just to make it so that we have an excuse over why we acted the way we did.

But it was not health that I planned to harm. "Stand down, Knight Remira. Although you are charged with heinous crimes, we still intent to give you a fair trial. But any further struggle than this, and we would consider it a proof of our suspicions. There will be no trials then, only punishment and execution, including your little helper and Cynark’s Spy."

I control the narrative, I control the story here.

What I say is the truth.

And in my truth, Remira colluded with Blue Lotus Cult. She helped in kidnapping of Maxim Hailey and then subsequent resurrection of Blue rose, which lead to the death of countless mortals.

And I was not wrong about this.

"*cough... Fuck!" I cried while taking in a deep breath and then looking around. "Why.., where am I?" I shouted and panicked, looking below me as there was no land.

"Crow.. you are alive?" Suddenly hearing such words, I turned my head around and nodded but soon turned silent as the grip on my back loosened somewhat, scaring me to no hell. "You are really alive?" A weird man asked, his eyes seemed suspicious as she soon landed and gently placed me on the ground without any explanation.

Before he gave his introduction and, Sheva explained what happened. "Was I really dead?" I asked, confused for a bit, before opening my shirt and finding that the wound had long closed. "Seems like I have healing as well."

Although Sheva didn’t think it was odd due to her lack of understanding. But for general Avichai who himself was a Grandmaster, he understood one fact correctly.

’He is an oddity.’ An apprentice can’t regenerate a broken heart, it’s virtually impossible no matter how special you are.

He didn’t say much, knowing who was the one that requested him to run this mission. Because in his memories, there was nothing normal about that oddball. And if that oddball had interest in these two, then were not normal as well.
