Chapter 496: Love in Dongmen with You
Chapter 496: Love in Dongmen with You
As he lay in bed staring up at the blue bricks that signified the wealth of this household, FengLi, no Xu Feng knew he should pull himself from whatever this was. This dream, fantasy, past life—whatever it was—was so sweet, he didn’t want it to stop.
He would gladly be FengLi again, for as long as he needed to. This was the last time they were all happy together for so long.
The moment of clarity was fleeting though, and Xu Feng’s sense of other had disappeared, he was FengLi again, and this was the first time any of this was happening. He was still the predator, and as for the prey...
He looked around the room, it was empty, but the bed was still warm to his right. Brother Jian had likely left not too long ago. Their dual cultivation session was much milder than it had been the night before. There was no penetration other than the dancing of their tongues.
The friction of their jade swords wasn’t as fulfilling as FengLi desired, but it was enough to curb his lust for a moment and allow his brain to function properly for the time being.
*Gurgle, gurgle, gurg*
His stomach was also functioning properly.
He may have been radiant under the moon’s glow the night before, and been a vision of temptation in the morning light, but now as the moon peeked out over the distant mountains, FengLi realized he hadn’t eaten anything in an entire day.
...
Food wasn’t a necessity at his cultivation level. He could go long periods of time without eating anything and his body wouldn’t suffer. If he was a human, he might have even invested in a bigu pill to stave off hunger for longer periods of time.
But he wasn’t human.
The more "righteous humans" often discard their cruder emotions and need to chase immortality. To fight against the Heavenly Dao for the taste of power, they shed their humanity, their desires, and even their ability to bear children as time went on.
It was similar for demon beasts in that as they grew stronger their ability to bear children lessened. But other than that, the demon beast took a path more closely related to demonic cultivators and nonstandard cultivators.
Humans might not relish the ability to leave behind offspring or if they did, they would do so in the early days of their cultivation—if they were more carefree and willing to limit their cultivation potential, breaking one’s purity too young was also considered a taboo amongst human cultivators.
For demon beasts, offspring were important. Whether the beast was a herd type or a loner, the importance of offspring wasn’t lost to either.
FengLi and his brother were like treasures to demon beasts with strong bloodlines and even stronger cultivation levels. They were a rare bloodline that seemed to disappear and reappear throughout the sands of time.
There was even a legend their bloodline was born from immortals who ran down to the mortal plains to play and were captured by cultivators nearing true immortality. There was no truth to this, FengLi was sure, he had no ancestral memory of anything like that, but it was still something he and his brother needed to be mindful of.
They didn’t want to be captured and used as a tonic for cultivation, or a breeding tool for cultivators looking to litter the world with their seed.
"Food..." He moaned playfully at the roof as if it would grow ears to listen to his mumbles, then feet to run off to the kitchen, and then finally hands to cook him up a meal.
"Heheheh," He giggled at his own silliness. What a farfetched dream he had formulated. Even if all of that happened, would the roof be a good cook?
His stomach was quite picky!
FengLi rolled over in the bed, his back end was no longer sore, but his front end was now protesting. The skin of his jade sword was raw. Even with both their fluids as a coating for their play, their game had gone on for too many rounds and he was once again sore.
His jade sword should heal soon, but he wondered what state Brother Jian’s little brother was in. "Hehe," FengLi couldn’t help but giggle to himself again.
He was acting like a lunatic! A complete lunatic!
They had been in this rented townhome for over a moon phase already. It had been nearly three weeks since the auction and a week before it in total. Since the auction, they had been "cultivating" like rabbit beasts.
Brother Jian couldn’t keep his hands off him, and he couldn’t keep his desires in check. He occasionally even thought of the human’s face as he pretended not to hear their foul play in the auction booth.
FengLi’s face reddened and his desire seemed to well back up to the surface. The man was clearly enjoying his moans too. A quick glance between his legs had shown his jade sword was hard.
FengLi could only cover his face with his hands. His tastes were becoming more and more strange with each passing day. Was he now interested in public plays? Did he like being watched? He didn’t think so. Well, he hoped not, he had enough things to worry about.
*Gurgle, gurgle, gurg, gurgle!*
"Hah!" The silver-haired ger finally rose up from the bed his face impassive as he controlled his emotions. The night sky was beautiful even in this remote corner of this destitute world. Nature was always breathtaking to him.
Finding his free-range clothing, he clothed himself. Luckily Brother Jian was quite gentlemanly, and always cleaned him up after one of their sessions. Unluckily, the man always seemed to ’forget’ to clothe him.
FengLi furrowed his brows, for someone who was only interested in dual cultivation, he did seem to enjoy looking at his body. But he was sure the Dragonborn was an honest beast, focused on becoming stronger.
Even now Brother Jian was off in the mountains fighting against the local demon beasts. The Nanshan Mountain range had the strongest demon beasts in most of Dongzhou. They were so fierce that one of the strongest human cultivation families was stationed on the mountain to guard the human settlements below and beyond.
This wasn’t uncommon in different parts of Dongzhou. Areas with strong demon beasts were guarded by their strongest human cultivators. It was a symbiotic relationship between humans who could cultivate and those who could not.
While he was also interested in "cultivating," mostly "dual cultivation," FengLi wasn’t interested in fighting any demon beasts, human cultivators, or even demonic cultivators. He was on a mission to gather rare spirit seeds and flowers, and of course, to capture the heart of the potential mate he had taken a liking to.
Moving into the direct light of the dual moons, FengLi walked to the kitchen slowly. In this space, there were no humans, so he didn’t bother to restrain his otherness.
His glowing silver and gold eyes were radiant, the silver matching the silver of his hair. The gold would match the sheen of his scales in his other form, but for now, they only matched each other.
Keeping himself in check amongst the humans was hard, but living so peacefully in this little town was quite fun. He could sleep all day and eat as much as his belly could accommodate. Life was so simple and sweet.
His cultivation partner would even leave him little gifts now and again, it was like they were living in domestic bliss.
FengLi couldn’t help but grin when he saw the pile of gifts Brother Jian had left him. Among the unprepared food items brought back from the mountains, were also some staples from the town, and ready-made food waiting to enter FengLi’s belly directly.
There were some simple buns prepared in abundance on a leaf platter on the low table in the kitchen, and a pot of porridge still kept warm on the barely smoldering flames. There were enough staples to cook something new if he was craving a different flavor, but also enough food for him to satiate his hunger with ready-made food.
Looking up at the dual moons, FengLi enjoyed his meal in silence before he began to hum a song only he and his brother knew. The night was beautiful, and life was beautiful, and he was well taken care of. His object would soon be his if he wasn’t already.
Demon beasts didn’t often play too many games when it came to courtship, especially not those inclined to battle. Those were their strengths, and they often didn’t seek to hone other skills like his Jian.
Brother Jian seemed to lean toward a warrior bloodline, yet he took such good care of FengLi and spent so much thought on keeping him happy.
"Hmm, hmm, mhmm, hmm!" FengLi hummed happily as he wondered when his soon-to-be mate would be back. It shouldn’t be tonight. It was already late, and the other was likely still in the Nanshan Mountains.
Well, it didn’t matter, the gift he’d promised was sweet enough. The fruits from the forest and the meat from the townspeople were enough to melt his heart.
