It was the matter of who would go to Sun Village that was the source of conflict for Xuan Jian and Xu Zeng. For some reason, Xu Zeng wouldn’t agree to take Xu Hu Zhe with him.

It wasn’t just Bai Mo who was confused, Xuan Jian couldn’t understand why Xu Hu Zhe wasn’t a good fit. Jie and Bo had also noticed the two men got along quite well.

Xu Hu Zhe and Xu Zeng were often seen together in Nanshan Estate, those who lived here knew they were almost inseparable at times. So, why couldn’t Xu Zeng agree for them to go back to Sun Village together?

It was a strange predicament, but Xuan Jian would not back down from this request. If Xu Zeng was taking Da Long and Xiao Long with him, Xu Hu Zhe would be going too.

That was when Xu Zeng finally removed his mask, revealing the bright red mole at the center of his forehead. The man had become a ger, and it was inappropriate for him to travel with Xu Hu Zhe.

The room had been filled with shocked expressions, the two bulkier men, Jie and Bo had their mouths wide open, and Bai Mo couldn’t help but grin as he remembered the recent scene as he strolled along in the coolness of the evening.

Xu Zeng’s use of Xu Hu Zhe’s mask was the best choice possible. Xuan Jian, Jie, and Bo were all shocked. It was almost the same as seeing a ghost.

But while their reactions were great, there was no mistake in their eyes. Xuan Jian had whispered, "You don’t smell like him." And with that Bai Mo’s suspicions were almost confirmed.

Xuan Jian was an Immortal Beast. What immortal bloodline carrier in all of Donghua, not even all of Dongzhou wouldn’t be shocked to see a man who could become a ger?

He was different, he was willing to accept Xu Feng at all costs. As for Xu Hu Zhe, Bai Mo thought proudly, the wild animal who trailed Xu Feng in the past mistook the brothers!

As Bai Mo walked alongside the silver haired ger beside him, he couldn’t shake the tension that lingered from the after-dinner meeting with Xuan Jian. The conversation had been fraught with complexities, delving into topics that didn’t necessarily involve him, yet he found himself drawn into the discourse more than once.

He and this Immortal Beast beside him would take a long carriage ride back to Sun Village. Not alone, but it would be a good time for them to bond.

Although Xu Zeng himself wasn’t in the best of moods, Bai Mo couldn’t help but feel that Xuan Jian’s points made the most sense. And the decision for Xu Hu Zhe to accompany them only seemed logical. After all, he was the most physically trained among them, and having another strong hand on their journey would undoubtedly enhance their safety.

As they walked, Bai Mo reached his hand over to touch the fingers swaying from side to side beside his own. There was a slight height difference, with Xu Zeng being taller, but Bai Mo didn’t mind the slight stretch.

He was grateful for the anonymity provided by Xu Zeng’s borrowed mask, allowing them this simple display of affection without fear of judgment or scrutiny.
