The Ger's Contract Marriage [BL]
Chapter 338: Co-Conspirator: Xu Hu Zhe

Chapter 338: Co-Conspirator: Xu Hu Zhe

Now it was a thrilling tale for an entirely different reason. There were one too many twists and turns for his comfort, plus he couldn’t hide from his in-laws forever.

But then again, it wouldn’t be life if there wasn’t room for discomfort and uncomfortable growth.

"Sigh," Xu Feng rubbed at his belly.

He’d gotten much better at not sighing so frequently, but his life was filled with them still. The sighing made things a little more comical in some way. He could release the overwhelm, and take things a bit lightly. Sort of.

"Did you like the buns?" He asked the two lives growing in his belly. Xu Feng had already grown accustomed to chatting with them without realizing it.

He preferred the pheasant filling, but the boor one was tasty as well. If the two little ones could talk back, he’d like to know which they preferred.

Secretly, he’d already given them baby names, and no it wasn’t Thing 1 and Thing 2. They were strong contenders, but he wanted the most cliché names for them. Names like Tian Tian or sweetie, Xiao Huo or little spark, and Xia Bao or little treasure.

But for some reason the idea of having little snakes and calling them dragons made him giggle a bit. Their placeholder names would be Xiao Long and Da Long (Little Dragon and Big Dragon).

When the time came, he’d have to have this talk with Xuan Jian and Xuan Yang. And if the little ones turned out to be foxes...it was just a pet name anyway. They could be the dragons of the foxes for all they knew!

"My Xiao Longs are very quiet," Xu Feng’s grin grew like the grinche’s heart, from small to large. The idea of calling snakes and foxes, dragons, tickled him to no end.

*Bump, bump*

The two little dragons seemed to feel strongly about the names or maybe it was about the food? Either way, their bumps against Xu Feng’s stomach were quite vigorous.

He rubbed his stomach more gently, "I’m glad you like your names, and if you don’t, too bad."

*Bump, bump*

The bumps were lighter, but the three were clearly having a nice conversation, on a nice bright and beautiful day. All worries aside, the two little dragons, were probably growing well.

They were much more active than they had been only a week prior.

No matter what his story was, Xu Feng would have always welcomed his dragons, even if he had to run away with the two buns in his personal oven like he initially planned and leave Nanshan Estate for Lady Xuan.

He never had it in him to just give birth and abandon his child. Now he had two lovers, and many more friends. This life was full of ups and downs, and he was glad he fell in love with Xuan Jian and Xuan Yang.

If it was just a simple tale, he would have missed out on what they have between the three of them; him, Xuan Yang and...Xuan Jian...

’Cultivation!’ Xu Feng redirected his thoughts, still rubbing his belly as he continued on his path. He needed to be less stressed and more relaxed for the children.

He had always been drawn to cultivation, farming, and apocalyptic stories as a child on earth. That’s what he read and watched. A smile graces his face.

Everything seems to be connected in some way, and now he was living his fantasy. Although all the connections aren’t visible to him yet, they were still possible impossibilities. Some he wasn’t ready to uncover yet.

Still, he needed to be stronger for his children, and create a peaceful life for them...to the best of his abilities.

Xu Feng after touring the courtyard rather slowly enjoyed his alone time.

Xu Si and Xu San, the former had scurried back to the craft room and the latter was moving between the kitchen, to monitor the food being kept warm, and the craft room.

When he’d entered the craft room that morning, they seemed to be working on diapers. The thought alone made Xu Feng cringe. Cloth diapers.

Fatherhood was not going to be easy. His dragons must be extra cute!

He had finished the two buns to tide over his appetite till his husbands woke up, but honestly, he wasn’t too hungry at all. He barely had an appetite the night before, and the feeling carried over till today.

Still, he’d padded his stomach to keep Xuan Jian from nagging. The man was built like warrior, lean muscular, slightly sun kissed, with an enchanting face, but he nagged like no other when given the chance.

Unknowingly as Xu Feng moved toward his final destination, his smile stayed strong and filled with mirth. Thoughts of his growing family gave him energy to keep moving in the uncertainty, and enjoy the life he was currently living.

His destination drew closer and closer as he ended his walking tour and neared the back courtyard. The space was once again filled with clay jars, many of which were filled up.

Xu Feng would need to slowly start to move the pots into the space over a few days to avoid over-exerting himself. Xu Hu Zhe had been busy. Even the fruits in the front courtyard were cleared out.

He was busy with wine and jam, but also busy with other tasks as well.

At a small bench in the back courtyard, an area had been carved out of the mess of jars and turned into a small writing space, with a stool on top of the bench.

The stool became a pseudo desk put together in haste. It had some parchment paper, a quill and ink, and beside it, none other than Xu Hu Zhe standing tall and imposing, no, more awkward than imposing waiting for Xu Feng’s arrival.

Yes, this was his co-conspirator. Even when he was on house arrest. Xu Hu Zhe was helping him continue his "up to no good" ways in secret!

Now that Xu Feng spent most of his time with Xuan Yang and Xuan Jian, Hu Zhe had more time to help Xu Feng in other ways.

Right now, was the perfect time for them to meet up with both husbands asleep. In fact, Xu Feng was always planning to meet up with Xu Hu Zhe. From the message the boy left under the bowl of washing water, to the signal he gave Xu Feng while he was cooking breakfast, the two were being as covert as possible.

Why? Because for mischief-makers to continue to make mischief under the hawk-like eyes of both Xuan Jian and Xuan Yang, one had to be cautious.

"Xu Feng." Xu Hu Zhe called out in greeting as he pretended to look around for anyone possibly trailing the silver haired ger. There was no one.

They both knew this, but Xu Feng would ignore this, and the faint blush Xu Hu Zhe tried to hide. Instead, his smile intensified at this tall cutie, "You can take off your mask."

Xu Hu Zhe wore his mask at almost all times. His secret was safe within the Blooming Courtyard, and likely all of the Nanshan Estate. But the new scales under the right side of his eye seemed to make him uncomfortable.

The discomfort from calling Xu Feng by his given name was adorable. This discomfort hurt Xu Feng’s heart.

Xu Hu Zhe’s potential was greater than even Xuan Yang’s as far as he could feel. If Xu Feng didn’t know Xuan Jian was from outside of the continent, Xu Feng would think he and Hu Zhe were of the same bloodline because of their potential.

"Yes," Xu Hu Zhe answered less confidently as he removed the mask. Xu Feng had already drawn close to his make shift office, and was as close to the tall teen as he could manage with his belly between them.

He lifted his hand, and Xu Hu Zhe quickly wiped it with a wet cloth from who knows where. Xu Feng’s brows raised, that’s not what he was implying. But Xu Hu Zhe seemed to understand and smiled sheepishly before bending slightly so Xu Feng could touch his face.

The feeling of the cool scales permeated his skin. This was natural to him now. He was a fox surrounded by snakes, "sigh," he even hoped his children had scales too...

"Don’t be ashamed of who you are." Xu Feng started, "When we leave Dongzhou, you’ll be able to control it better."

Xu Hu Zhe nodded; his eyes fluttering closed under the gentle touch.

This was the man he swore to protect at all costs. He was content being Xu Feng’s shadow for the rest of his days. It would have been better if he was a fox like Bai Mo, but he was a snake, and Xu Feng liked snakes. This was enough.

He would continue to train, and be Xu Feng’s right hand for as long as he could, and protect the two children. When it was time to leave this continent, he would be ready.

Till then, he would continue to work hard to be worthy and make sure Xu Si and Xu San were ready to take care of their home in their absence.
