Chapter 314: A Ring, A Space

Chapter 314: A Ring, A Space

Xu Feng stared into the now vacant cellar with a delayed intensity. The once crowded space, filled to the brim with earthenware jars containing fruit wine, jams, and even the small reserves of food and seeds, had vanished into thin air.

His jaw dropped slightly as he took in the empty shelves and the newfound emptiness that surrounded him.

Absently, he rubbed his round belly with his free hand as he continued to gaze into the void before him. His heart raced with a strange mixture of exhilaration and disbelief.

After a few moments of stunned silence, he lowered his gaze to the ceramic jar and spoon still clutched in his hand.

’I want this in my space,’ he declared in his mind, almost as if testing the limits of this newfound golden finger.

And just like that, they were gone.

The cellar remained barren, devoid of any trace of the earthenware jar or the ceramic spoon. Xu Feng felt a surge of excitement and wonder wash over him, but he managed to keep his composure. His eyes widened, and his lips curled into a nearly cartoonish smile, a sense of amazement coursing through him.

"I want the spoon," he whispered aloud this time, his voice filled with a sense of wonder and disbelief.

Once again, as if by some magical force, the ceramic spoon reappeared in his hand, leaving him awestruck by the new power at his command. It was as though the universe itself responded to his desires, reshaping reality according to his whims.

Or you know, he had a typical "rare" magic space found in most transmigration stories.

He had in fact transmigrated, and was now in a cultivation world, and was technically a cultivator—or a demon beast, whatever floats your boat. A storage item wasn’t so far fetched.

But in this remote area of their world, without any family or "sect" support, it was still a surprising golden finger. He should thank the phoenix clan descendant demon beast that found him and Zeng (their eggs) and the rings in the secret realm.

And maybe even the Qilin descendant and her greed. If not maybe the first demon beast would have eaten him and Xu Zeng quietly.

The situation was strange but exciting.

It would be even more surprising for others because this ring and Xu Zeng’s rings were connected despite them being in different worlds...It was possible their rings were a key to a full, living pocket dimension!

Xu Feng was left in stunned silence, grappling with the new possibilities and mysteries that lay before him.

Egged on by his golden finger—whether it was just a storage artifact or a full pocket dimension didn’t dampen his excitement—Xu Feng decided to test its limits in the back courtyard of Blooming Courtyard.

Standing in the middle of the neatly arranged earthenware jars, he focused on a single thought. ’I want all the jars in my space.’

In an instant, the filled jars disappeared, leaving behind only the few that were either still awaiting their final seal or were completely empty. A sense of power and exhilaration washed over him as he marveled at his ability to choose what he wanted to bring into his space. It was like a game, a game he was determined to enjoy.

However, he knew there should be limits to his special new trick, and he didn’t want to push it too far. As he contemplated the possibilities, an idea crossed his mind. What if he tried to access the space itself? What secrets or wonders might lie inside?

With some curiosity, Xu Feng decided to start small.

He reached for one of the smaller earthenware jars, carefully selected from the ones still waiting for their final seal. Holding it in his hand, he focused on the idea of wanting to see inside his mysterious space.

He carefully focused on the idea of sending it into the space, just as he had done with the jars in the cellar.

As he concentrated, the jar in his hand shimmered for a moment before vanishing from his grasp. It was as if the space itself had eagerly swallowed it up.

Now, it was time for the next step. Xu Feng closed his eyes, blocking out the visual distractions of the back courtyard. He envisioned the unsealed jar he had just sent into the space, picturing it clearly in his mind.

At first, the world around him seemed to sway and blur, and he felt a disorienting sensation. But then, as he focused more intently on the mental image of the jar, something incredible happened.

Xu Feng was still standing in the back courtyard, his feet firmly planted on the ground, but it was as though a window had opened in his mind. He could somehow see into the space he had just sent the jar into. Rows and rows of items filled the space, a mixture of the contents from both the cellar and the courtyard.

They stood there in no particular order, taking up space on the untended greenery in the space, no protection from the elements, but their seals were all the protection they needed for the time being.

His heart raced with exhilaration as he quickly scanned the various items, his eyes locking onto the small jar he had intended to "see." There it was, nestled among the other objects in the space, just as he had pictured it.

To top it all off, he recognized this place as the "third world," the "realm between worlds" where he and Xu Zeng would occasionally meet.

It was the world he had often dreamed about, and now, he had a direct connection to it.

With a simple thought, Xu Feng withdrew his consciousness from the space, and opened his eyes. The courtyard stayed in its previous state. He repeated the process several times with his eyes open and closed, testing the waters, moving things in and out of the space with a growing sense of control and understanding.

He had a space.
