The Ger's Contract Marriage [BL] -
Chapter 272: Xuan Jian: Mysterious Man
Chapter 272: Xuan Jian: Mysterious Man
The vast landscape of Dongzhou spread out before Xuan Jian, and his thoughts meandered through the intricate web of secrets, misconceptions, and the unknown future. He couldn’t help but feel a mild headache creeping up as he contemplated the mysterious nature of his two lovers and the mysteries of this world.
It was a large continent and a big world, but ultimately it was small, like a fleck of dust in the wind when taking the whole picture into account.
The confusion between white and silver foxes within Dongzhou had persisted for generations, and Xuan Jian understood why. After all, the exiled immortal beast with fox blood had claimed to hail from the silver fox lineage, spreading the delusion. It was a misunderstanding deeply rooted in the minds of the population of Dongzhou, and it would take more than mere words to correct it.
However, the truth remained undeniable: the silver fox clan belonged to much higher realms, and the limited spiritual energy in lower level worlds like Dongzhou (within Zhoujin) couldn’t sustain their advanced needs.
The possibility of a silver fox naturally existing in Zhoujin was slim to none. Even outside Dongzhou, there simply wasn’t enough spiritual energy to support such high level creatures to reach their full potential.
Xuan Jian couldn’t help but let out a wry smile at the perseverance of this misunderstanding and the cocky attitude of the fox beast who had been exiled to Dongzhou.
It was a misconception that had persisted for countless generations, and it seemed almost impossible to dismiss at this point.
It couldn’t happen naturally, unless a silver fox was sent willingly or unwillingly to experience the lower leveled world. But who would come to a lower leveled world without a specific mission?
This same misunderstanding applied to the absence of true dragons in Zhoujin as well. The dragon that had been exiled to this cursed continent was, in fact, a distant descendant of the dragon families, with only a trace echo of true dragon blood left in the lineage.
Although there was a slim chance that this distant descendant could reach true dragon status through a series of fortunate opportunities and blessings of the Dao, Xuan Jian couldn’t help but find the people of Zhoujin somewhat overly optimistic in their beliefs.
However, in the middle of the complex web of misconceptions and lies, there might be a glimmer of truth regarding Xu Feng. The young ger had somehow managed to increase his(Xuan Jian’s) potential within the severely restricted confines of this lower level world.
His unique wood based abilities held great value and would be highly sought after in middle and high level worlds. The fact that Xu Feng had been born or banished(?) to this lower realm might have ultimately been a blessing in disguise.
As Xuan Jian contemplated the unique qualities of his lovers, his head throbbed with the weight of unanswered questions. Xu Feng, the mysterious silver fox, should not exist in this lower world, especially given his immense potential that defied the harsh power restrictions of the continent.
Even Xuan Jian’s own abilities were suppressed here, but Xu Feng’s talents seemed to flourish unchecked, like resilient weeds thriving despite adversity.
Xuan Jian’s thoughts swirled in a unrestrained sea of mysteries, each question leading to more questions, and each revelation only unveiling new layers of questions. It was as if the universe had decided to keep its secrets locked away, tantalizingly just out of reach.
He sighed, his breath escaping like a weary traveler in search of answers. The weight of these unresolved mysteries pressed upon him, and he couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of frustration. It was like trying to piece together a jigsaw puzzle with missing parts and no picture to guide him.
The limitations of their current world only exacerbated the challenge.
But he wanted to give his lovers space to breathe and keep what secrets they might have, and stay innocent to certain truths.
Then there was Xuan Yang, a prodigy whose abilities rivaled even Xuan Jian’s own. If allowed to survive outside of this cursed continent or even outside this lower world, could he possibly surpass Xuan Jian in potential?
The young master’s talent was exceptional, and Xuan Jian harbored a deep desire to uncover the missing pieces of Xuan Yang’s past. However, the task was daunting. How could he begin to unravel the intricate web of seals connected to the scales on his lover’s body?
There were no master seal artisans or array experts in this lower level world to provide guidance or a key to unlocking Xuan Yang’s past.
Moreover, there was the question of the mysterious fiend that had cursed Xuan Yang. Unearthing the truth about this curse was a daunting challenge in itself. And then there was the possibility of his lover having a past life or lives—yet another mystery he would need to explore.
If Xuan Yang did indeed possess memories from a previous existence deep down somewhere, how could they decipher which past life had resulted in the fractured state of his soul?
As Xuan Jian mulled over these annoying mysteries, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of frustration and helplessness. The answers to these questions seemed to lie beyond the grasp of their current reality, shrouded in a veil of uncertainty and obscurity.
Still, he was determined to stand by his lovers’ sides, supporting them in their quest for the truth, no matter where it might lead them. He needed more strength to protect them.
"Haah..." Xuan Jian’s audible sigh carried the weight of unspoken burdens, both those shared with his lovers and others hidden deep within his heart.
This journey, which should have been arduous but manageable with time and diligence, had been deeply altered by the presence of his two unlikely partners. He found himself wanting to take them with him everywhere, as if their presence could make up for the uncertainties that lay ahead.
Just as he contemplated these complex emotions and his head threatened to split open, cool arms wrapped gently around his abdomen, and the soft brush of a kiss graced his temple.
Xuan Yang’s dark eyes bore into his with a mixture of passion and a hint of discomfort, a desire to alleviate the pain he saw in Xuan Jian’s gaze. Xuan Jian couldn’t help but smile at his other lover, his heart warmed by the genuine concern and affection that radiated from Xuan Yang’s gaze.
Xuan Yang hadn’t always been so expressive. In fact, even in the last 6 months, he had undergone monumental changes. His emotions seemed to develop and his ability to express himself without words had grown.
Xuan Jian had know for years how much he was loved, but the effort of Xuan Yang, but know he also knew by the emotions he felt from his lover. Xu Feng had been the catalyst for this change.
Or perhaps it was a combination of him and Xu Feng in Xuan Yang’s life?
His eyes briefly flickered to the figure of Xu Feng, peacefully asleep in bed, before returning to meet Xuan Yang’s earnest gaze.
In a hushed whisper, he conveyed their plans for the following day, the prospect of ascending Nanshan. "We’re going up Nanshan tomorrow," he murmured. "Shouldn’t you let me keep my leg strength?" His words held a playful undertone, his lips curving into a knowing smile.
Xuan Yang reciprocated the smile, his own eyes shining with a warmth surrounded by a glacial cold. "It’s my leg strength we need to worry about," he replied, a faint hint of humor in his voice. "But we’ll train with moderation...No large sized toys, just a bit of play to calm our minds." He clarified his intentions, emphasizing their shared journey ahead.
With that, Xuan Jian’s smile grew, and he leaned in to share a tender kiss with the snake young master.
It was soft and tentative at first, a merging of lips. Then it grew more heated as the two men with healthy sex drives seemed to meet their match joyfully.
Lips, tongue, a bit a teeth. All intentional and shared.
Taking a note from Xu Feng’s book, Xuan Yang moved his hands to Xuan Jian’s lower body, groping at the caged sword below. Teasing shamelessly seemed to be the norm for both Xuan Jian’s lovers.
They were constantly competing to reign supreme as the most shameless lover.
Did he have a type? Perhaps...
He, Xuan Jian, had chosen them, his lovers, for a lifetime, and he would treasure them both as long as he lived. Even if he were to reach the pinnacle of his bloodline’s potential, he knew he would never take another mate.
His heart belonged solely to these two, and he would stand by them through every trial and triumph that fate had in store.
As Xuan Yang led him from the room, mindful not to disturb the slumbering Xu Feng, Xuan Jian was determined to do his best for his lovers.
