Chapter 201: Into The Unknown

Chapter 201: Into The Unknown

As Xu Feng ventured deeper into the strange and beautiful garden, a sense of calmness enveloped him, unlike anything he’d experienced before with his wood abilities.

In Donghua, since he transmigrated to this world, he always maintained a vigilant control over his powers, unsure if anyone else could detect or sense his affinity for plants.

The embarrassment of his earlier, unexpected release was proof of this lack of control. The place—the two places—he felt the most relaxed were in Xuan Jian and Xuan Yang’s arms. It was like a mental release when they weren’t fighting.

Next was with Bai Mo and Xu Hu Zhe, it was the relaxed feeling you get when you return home, or do nothing too important with a friend, just relax and enjoy each other’s company.

Finally, he also felt relaxed around Xu Si and Xu San, this feeling was similar to the ones he felt with Bai Mo and Xu Hu Zhe. The two girls were the first friendly faces he’d met in this new world.

Of the six mentioned people, each individual "felt" different. After entering this enclosure, Xu Feng finally understood why. It wasn’t how they made him feel, but maybe how his abilities perceived them which then in turn made him feel relaxed.

It was just when he was out of this energy abundant space, he wasn’t as in tune with his abilities, and the feelings blurred together.

However, in this surreal realm humming with vitality, he felt an unusual ease that was deeper than any other. His connection to the plants, his wood abilities, seemed to flow freely and unrestrained.

There was no need to mask or suppress them here. It was as if this space welcomed his affinity, allowing it to manifest without inhibition.

Xu Feng wondered what it would feel like to hold one or both of his husbands here. All the revelations, and abundance of energy and knowledge drove Xu Feng to want to sleep. It was like a flow or influx of energy and knowledge that needed time to settle in him.

All the while, he tried to ignore the feeling, afraid of wasting this opportunity.

The flora around him danced with his abilities, responding to his "touch" without any hesitation or resistance. It was a mesmerizing sight as he moved through the overgrown garden, observing flowers and plants whose names he couldn’t fathom.

His wood abilities seemed intimately connected to this place, guiding him effortlessly through the vibrant greenery.

The urge to sleep lingered within him, a strange pull that contradicted the renewed energy he’d felt upon waking in this mystical realm. His body craved rest, despite the revitalization this place offered.

Yet, Xu Feng fought against this overpowering need, resisting the call for slumber as he allowed his abilities to interact with the unknown flora, exploring the depths of their connection with a sense of wonder and curiosity.

This was a once in a life time opportunity. Probably. He shouldn’t waste it taking a nap.

As Xu Feng moved deeper into the vibrant garden, the ring nestled on his finger began to pulsate with a gentle rhythm, a subtle resonance that mirrored the tranquil essence of the space.

Rather than dismissing or hiding it away, he carefully removed the ring from its chain, stowing the chain within his robes before slipping the ring onto his finger.

It seemed to find home. He was its home.

There weren’t many times Xu Feng wore the ring on his finger, but whenever he did, it always felt right. He only avoided it, because the ring always seemed to come with nightmares of his predecessor—Xu Zeng.

Even if the other him was still alive somewhere, Xu Feng felt immense guilt toward the other party. He was here with Xuan Jian and Xuan Yang—despite their occasional fighting, both were loving partners that he cherished.

He even had new friends and he felt like he belonged somewhere and was needed. But what about Xu Zeng? If the other took over his body, that would mean he was living in the apocalypse after living his entire life as a farmer’s son.

What kind of hell would that be?

"Sigh," Xu Feng released a heavy breath as he tried to remove the other man’s smiling face from his mind.

The sensation of the ring was peculiar but comforting. He would focus on this.

The ring seemed to meld with his skin, snug and warm, emitting a soothing energy that coursed through him. It wasn’t hot or chilling like metal usually was—it was an oddly natural and inviting warmth, as if it belonged there all along.

His senses tingled as he surveyed the garden, glancing at the pristine body of water to his right, inviting and crystal clear. On the left, meticulously maintained trees, some hanging heavy with fruit, beckoned him, their presence urging him to explore their secrets.

But the charming landscape couldn’t distract him from the cave nestled within the mountain ahead. Although nothing in this space appeared threatening—his abilities had confirmed this with their upgraded strength—the cave emitted the densest concentration of energy, drawing his attention like a beacon.

Despite the desire to wander further through the garden or investigate the serene waters, a compelling force nudged him toward the mysterious cave. It wasn’t fear or anxiety that drove him, but an instinctive curiosity mingled with the intensity of the energy emanating from within.

It seemed the perfect opportunity to investigate into this mysterious place while the atmosphere remained serene and inviting. With that thought, Xu Feng set his sights on the cave entrance and began his steady stride toward its depths.

As Xu Feng drew closer to the mouth of the cave, a rush of intense energy enveloped him, causing him to audibly gasp. "Hah!"

The sheer potency emanating from within the cave surpassed anything he’d felt in the garden, doubling or even tripling the intensity. It was like being close to the heart of a storm, a tempest of mystical energies.

The abrupt surge was overwhelming, and he found himself pausing at the edge, his chest heaving as he struggled to catch his breath.

The energy seemed to pulse and thrum against his skin, compelling and forceful. His abilities, previously engrossed with the flora, shifted abruptly, magnetized by the tremendous force coming from the cave.

They snapped back to him, aligning with their owner, buzzing and resonating in harmony.
