Chapter 614: Chapter 612 Jin VS Glatoni

Yellow Skin retracted, and the passage was sealed,

William, having declared war, couldn’t help but laugh uncontrollably, sighing in relief for the first time since he was hunted at the entrance of the Skin Factory. The battle exhilarated him, giving him a true taste of the Silver Circle, and made him realize the road ahead was still long.

But he didn’t linger on that feeling for too long,

William immediately looked up, gazing at the thoroughly destroyed Divine Skin Mansion with a trace of confusion in his Moon Eyes.

"Strange," he murmured, "Greed has been dead for quite some time; the commotion should have been great. Why hasn’t Marquis Gratoni killed his way back... Could it be that the teacher has escaped his predicament?"

With this thought,

William floated above the streets of Zion, looking directly at the city’s sky-bound "Moon," and locking eyes with the Moon to gain "Moon’s Vision."

He used it to observe the entirety of Zion, especially casting his gaze toward the direction of the academy.

"What is that!"

The whole Omphalo-Centric-Academy was beyond recognition; all buildings and lawns had been erased, leaving only craters of varying sizes.

The smallest measured in meters, the largest spanned hundreds of meters, reminiscent of a small meteorite impact. However, these troughs were different in that they were packed with dense bite marks.

Clearly, all the craters were formed by the devouring actions of Gluttony. Gratoni.

Now the question was,

Who could force Gratoni, donned in Blood Armor, to use his devouring ability so many times? Previously, when Yi Chen took control of the body, he couldn’t handle it and had to rely on Dead Man Makeup to forcefully stall for time.

Devouring could be used remotely,

and in the state of Blood Armor, it was possible to devour directly across a hundred meters without any time delay or any noticeable fluctuation; there was nowhere to hide, no way to avoid, and at least for the current William, no perceivable means to counter it.

But now,

within the vision granted by the Moon, someone was directly confronting Gratoni. And it seemed that this person could indeed dodge some of the devouring attacks while using their Physical body to resist the remaining ones.

...

Time rolled back to half an hour earlier,

Jin, upon hearing William’s words, spread his Back Tumor Wings and headed toward the academy in an attempt to catch up with and halt Marquis Gratoni, buying enough time for the people in the campus.

Capitalizing on his innate Speed talent and the boost of his Back Tumor Wings, Jin even ignited his Physical body further to propel himself forward while in flight, much like a human rocket.

Reaching near the ultimate speed just as he caught up with Marquis Gratoni at the school gates.

Facing such an entity, Jin held nothing back. He wielded a foreign weapon he had just acquired—a broken sword with a lotus-shaped guard.

Grasping the hilt,

he infused it with pale pink life essence, which was none other than the ’Cancer Liquid’ stored within his back tumors, only producible when the wings were unfolded—a concentrated essence of a fleshy Red Lotus.

The pale pink flesh-like substance climbed the broken sword in strands, beginning the restoration and completion process.

Layer upon layer of flesh formed the blade, with surfaces wrapped in lines that resembled blood vessels and roots. These tendrils swayed and wriggled along the blade’s surface,

and even at certain nodes, tiny pus-filled swellings appeared to enhance the sword’s Stability.

Moreover, the lotus roots even traced over the Surface of the blade, outlining the original lettering of the broken sword with "Sanskrit," greatly improving its completion.

Jin didn’t know the purpose of these Sanskrit inscriptions, nor their meaning,

She was merely repairing the sword based on her understanding and inner feeling of it.

With the restoration complete,

her gaze fixated on Marquis Gratoni, who was exactly a hundred meters away, envisioning multiple paths to strike him down.

Jin started accelerating, ready to execute the plan established in her mind when suddenly, a ringing tone interrupted her thoughts.

This was her innate Perception as an Honored Tumor Knight, sensing an absolute danger... Jin herself didn’t understand, given that the Marquis seemed to have his back to her, where was this danger coming from?

Nevertheless, Jin trusted her instincts and immediately brought the sword out in front of her to block.

Indeed, although Marquis Gratoni appeared to be heading towards the school’s interior, seemingly with his back to her,

A mouth suddenly grew at the center of his back and snapped shut quickly... Crack!

The moment the upper and lower teeth collided, an invisible devouring effect took immediate hold,

Buzz!

Jin’s blade, clutched in her hand, started frantically trembling, its surface roots twisting crazily as the inscribed mantras burst forth with light! Although she could see nothing, she swung instinctively.

Crack!

It was like something had been shattered, the engulfing effect slowly dissipating.

"Hmm?" Glatoni, who was on his way to the academy, suddenly stopped, turning to face Jin.

The aura released by his fully activated Blood Armor surged manifold, forcing Jin to wrap her wings around her body, cold sweat sliding down her temples.

"Honored Tumor Knight, I devoured one of your weapons without even activating my Blood Armor, you should feel the disparity between us, right?

You are indeed special, but still too young. Don’t think that an extraterritorial weapon can close the gap between us. If you want to stop me, let those guys from the ’High Table’ try, you’re not qualified.

If you leave within three seconds, I’ll spare your life."

"Spare your mother!"

Jin’s fiery temperament was directly ignited by these words. She stomped her foot and charged forward, aiming to decapitate her opponent with the magic artifact in her hand.

As the red shadow closed in, just before the blade fell,

Marquis Glatoni’s main mouth made a biting motion,

Hum!!

The devouring power of the main mouth far exceeded the newly sprouted secondary mouths on his back.

Jin tried to break the devouring effect the same way, but her sword blade began to shake uncontrollably.

Crack! The long sword flew out of her hand, along with two severed thumbs.

Jin was also blasted fifty meters away, her arms spewing out a large quantity of blood, completely ruined, with all the muscle, nerve, and blood vessel tissue shattered.

Marquis Glatoni had no intention of holding back. He didn’t want to waste time and sought to finish things quickly.

Glatoni opened all the mouths on his body and bit down together... Hiss~~ Blood sprayed, and the surrounding lawn was saturated with it.

As her wings withered and her body disintegrated,

Jin knelt on both knees, barely rendering a human shape supported by white bone and the main lotus root, her flesh nearly nibbled clean.

Glatoni watched the scene with some surprise: "Still maintaining a human shape... Did you use an internal explosion to negate part of the devouring effect?

Your talent is really high; maybe you could have made it into the ’High Table’ in the future.

Unfortunately, you won’t live to see that day."

Marquis Glatoni proceeded to deliver the coup de grâce, stretching out his right hand with the palm facing Jin’s motionless body, the mouth on the surface of his palm making a biting motion.

Crack! Teeth came down, and a devouring pit three meters in diameter formed on the ground, but the Marquis didn’t feel the ingestion of life.

"Hm? Is it that human Stargazer again..."

[Principal’s Office]

In the bathtub filled with star particles,

Jin, now nothing but a skeleton with root stems, was placed into it. Although the liquid could not repair the body, it ensured that her condition would not worsen through its space-time effects.

Principal Daislin looked pale as she stood by, blood seeping from her abdomen, but compared to Jin’s injuries, hers were minor.

"Really, she should have gone directly to Zede. If something truly happened to you, William would be devastated."

...

Marquis Glatoni did not make an effort to trace Jin’s aura; in his view, it was impossible for Jin to recover in a short time, and highly likely that she would simply die.

Rather than wasting time chasing a dying person, the issue with Zede was more pressing.

Hum!

He lifted his hand, bit open a rift towards the underground prison, and stepped inside.

But the cells in front of him were empty, the blood priests in charge of the watch had all been killed, and the blood vat for transformation was completely shattered.

"Hm?! Freed already!"

Just as Marquis Glatoni was about to look for clues at the scene, hoping to track Zede’s whereabouts to the best of his ability, a ’corpse’ with no aura, no sound, was slowly crawling out from behind him...
