As Bai Yunxian was determined, he continued walking, till the narrow space suddenly turned spacious as he entered a room.

"What is this place?"

Bai Yunxian wondered as he saw the specious place, it was clean and neat, with a dome like pillar standing in the middle of the room.

Long and big chains surrounded the pillar, as if it was specially created for keeping someone arrested there, though Bai Yunxian didn’t have the least bit of idea or thought about who that could be.

The chains gave off a ominous aura, Bai Yunxian felt the need to stay away from them as he approached the pillar with caution.

’I never encountered this place before, what is this place?’

As Bai Yunxian roamed around the room, he was inspecting every nook and corner, trying his best to find a way out of this place.

’Lord Yun... I don’t know if he is still out there, waiting for me. I must quickly find the way out to get to him.’

Just as he was lurking around, Bai Yunxian accidentally stepped over a black stone which shook the entire room.

"Were you the one who broke my celestial array and freed that guy?"

A grim and angry voice rang throughout the chamber as a white figure emerged out of the dome, the old man’s sharp eyes were cold as he glared towards Bai Yunxian.

"Who are you and what do you want?"

Bai Yunxian’s words sounded even colder as he looked at the old man directly in the eyes, his demeanor changed entirely in a different direction as he stared towards the old man with cold eyes.

He wasn’t someone important for Bai Yunxian, so he didn’t have any reason to be polite towards him either.

"I’m this Celestial City’s owner! You don’t even know whose territory you are in yet you dare to charge inside? Don’t you have any regards for your life?"

The old man was enraged as he shouted at Bai Yunxian, whose demeanor has changed entirely compared to how he usually behaves around Yun Shu.

If Yun Shu were to see this noble and arrogant appearance, she wouldn’t be able to recognise him.

"Regard for my life? Heh, I’ve thrown these thoughts away a long time ago." Bai Yunxian said as he didn’t go back or even flinch at the old man’s words.

"Hahah! Such an interesting soul you got there, junior. How did you end up in this place? Nonetheless, you still need to pay the price for breaking my array."

The old man laughed hysterically as he combed his beard with fingers, looking at Bai Yunxian with eyes full of interest.

However, Bai Yunxian frowned as he totally ignored the old man floating in the air, trying to figure out his way again.

"Where are you going? You haven’t answered my question yet." The old man seemed to be curious as he was peeking over Bai Yunxian’s shoulder, not giving up as he was throwing various questions at him.

"My companion is waiting for me outside, I have to get to him as soon as possible." Bai Yunxian didn’t spare even a glance at the old man, which resulted in him throwing a tantrum and rage over the place.

"You punk! You dare to ignore me, this ancestor immortal? Do you know how many people are flocking around the world just to see me?"

"You are but a piece of soul now, I have no interest in an old geezer." Bai Yunxian made a rude remark with the intention of making the old man lose his tail.

However, the old man seemed to be curious as he didn’t mind Bai Yunxian and looked upward, a smile flashed across his face as he turned back towards Bai Yunxian again.

"You say that lad sitting over there is your companion? Interesting, what’s the relationship between you two?"

Bai Yunxian stopped in his tracks as he turned around with a speed of lightning, the ferocity hidden inside him bore its fang as he asked the old man in a low voice, "How do you know that?"

"I can see what’s going on over the ground with my sea of consciousness. This is a secret technique invented by me. Say, the lad over there is good at breaking seals and arrays, but here you are, looking for clues when you don’t know what’s going on by your side."

Bai Yunxian didn’t quite understand what the old man was talking about, so he only stared at the man.

The old man tried to persuade Bai Yunxian, trying to coax him.

Bai Yunxian turned around as he started to walk again, while the old man yelled at him from behind anxiously.

"Wait! I want you!"

"Do you know what kind of place this Celestial Palace is? This is the Celestial Pope’s holy ground!"

Bai Yunxian halted in his tracks, the old man’s eyes glinted as he saw hope.

"If you become my successor, you can walk all over the world."

"Only this world? Which means there are even stronger enemies out there in other worlds that I have to confront right? Sorry but I don’t want to deal with more trouble."

Besides, he didn’t want to get Yun Shu dragged into meaningless fights which would put him in a dangerous situation.

But the Old man spoke up again, this time he tried to persuade Bai Yunxian as he said in a calm voice, "What’s more, the lad you want to see over there, if you get my legacy, then you can help him as well."
