"It seems that somehow, the Jiangshi made their way out of the city, they caught my scent and are now chasing after me. We don’t have time to chit chat here, so don’t say anything and just see what I’m doing."

Yun Shu was running while explaining to Bai Yubxian shortly, at the same time, Bai Yunxian was getting dizzy being carried away by Yun Shu.

Suddenly, Yun Shu stopped as she cursed under her breath, then threw Bai Yunxian down as she hid in the bush that she found beside them.

Since she was pretty exhausted after fighting with the other beasts till now, she wasn’t confident she could take down the hurdle of zombies all by herself when Bai Yunxian was with her as well.

"Don’t make any noise, it might be a little unconformable, just bear with it for a while. I..." Yun Shu wanted to say that she would try to get away the attention from them, and by that time Bai Yunxian can run away to safe zone.

However, her words didn’t come out of her mouth when she looked down at the person pinned under her body, his hot breathing tickled her face as she blinked.

’Ah, I made a wrong move again...’

"Oh, you’ll suffocate if I were to press on your body. I’ll give some space, wait a little."

Yun Shu stopped talking as she heaved herself up, trying her best to give the other person some space.

But something wrapped around her waist which surprised Yun Shu as she was pressed down over him again, as she looked at him directly in the eyes.

"That, I’m fine. Even if it’s a little uncomfortable, it wouldn’t be good if they were to detect us." Bai Yunxian reasoned with himself as he said, though the ti of his ears were burning red.

’He’s not being honest again.’

Yun Shu also understood what he was thinking, but she didn’t disclose his thoughts as she relaxed her body a little bit.

Since the artifact was still there, there is no fear of being exposed. And her body structure was now more like a man, so he won’t be able to tell anything.

But, she also didn’t want to expose him...

Being selfish once in a while won’t hurt, right?

"Well then, bear it for a while."

Yun Shu said it herself, but with each passing sceond, both of their heart beats were tangling together that they couldn’t tell whose heart was beating.

The growling sounds slowly started to get far and far as Yun Shu lifted her head, trying to get a hold of the surrounding whether there was any other animals around.

"Is there something? Is it finished? Are there any more of them?" Bai Yunxin’s voice seemed to be dry when he spoke up, which made Yun Shu laugh.

"Hmm... I don’t see any of them. Looks like they walked past this area. However, Jiangshi’s has sensitive nose, they are sensitive to a particular fragnarace. Or to say it bluntly, people’s body odor or fragrance. So we need to get away from this before they find out."

Yun Shu distanced her body from Bai Yunxian as she kneeled down over him with her both legs on each side of his body.

For someone as dull as Yun Shu, she didn’t notice what she was doing, but as a ’real’ man, for Bai Yunxian, it was like a challenge thrown at him to control himself.

How could he be so defenseless. It doesn’t matter if it’s me, or does he just not care?

"When I patrolled the area before, I didn’t see any of the riot like this. Else I wouldn’t have taken you here." Yun Shu stood up as she brushed her clothes as she lend Bai Yunxian a helping hand, hleping him to get up and clean off before she firmly held his hand.

"We need to run before it’s too late."

As Yun Shu said this, Bai Yunxian also nodded his head, ready for the run.

’Calm down, it’s not the right time to fantasize about weird things. Focus, Bai Yunxian. You can’t put the Lord in danger again.’

Bai Yunxian calmed himself as he got ready for the run, as they started to walk in hiding, to return back to the camp.

’It’s now, or never. I need to use this opportunity to the best of my ability, I’ll use every opportunity throughly to make sure he gets the best things... ’

Yun Shu was thinking about all this as she was marching in hiding, however, Bai Yunxian didn’t know her real intentions all along the way.

Suddenly, the bush beside them came to an end as they discovered themselves in a large, empty place in the middle of the forest.

"No, what is this? Have we run in the wrong place again?"

Bai Yunxian panicked as he held Yun Shu’s hand tightly, this forest was like a maze that couldn’t be found an exit.

"Calm down, this place looks safer than other places. Follow me like this, we need to inspect this place before getting in a conclusion."

’Looks like it’s the right place.’

In Yun Shu’s mind, there was something completely different going on as she almost ended up grinning. But fortunately, Yun Shu was someone who is a master at controlling her facial expression, so Yun Shu put on her poker face again to fool Bai Yunxian as she let go of his hand, they walked in the middle of the empty space as Yun Shu was blankly staring at the space, her eyes lost in thoughts.

"This, I think we need to inspect the place a little before we get back. Can you wait here for me? I’ll come back soon."

Yun Shu gave a sweet smile to Bai Yunxian as she started to walk away from him in a fast speed, and Bai Yunxian’s hands also reacted subconsciously, reaching out to hold Yun Shu’s sleeve, but failed.

"My Lord, wait for me...!" Bai Yunxian felt anxious for some reason as he also wanted to follow Yun Shu.

But the moment he called Yun Shu, another group of Jiangshi hoarded in the space, right in front of Yun Shu.

"My Lord, it’s dangerous...!" Bai Yunxian shouted anxiously as he almsot run over, but as he lifted his foot, he stumbled over the small stone as he fell down on his face.

’The situation isn’t looking good, should I just retreat? But as per what I remember, this was supposed to be the place, right?’

Yun Shu looked at the hoard of zombies that were slowly closing towards her, then looked sideways to see Bai Yunxian who stumbled down on the ground.

"Bai Yunxian! Are you alright? Did you get hurt?!"

Yun Shu’s panicked voice made Bai Yunxian feel happy as he nodded his head quickly, but paused in the middle.

He wanted to get the affectionate words and warm embrace of Yun Shu for himself. But he won’t care about him if he were to say he is alright, right?

As the thought suddenly came into his mind, Bai Yunxian looked at Yun Shu and hesitated a little before nodding his head, tears welled up in his eyes, clearly indicating that he was hurt.

Damn!

This isn’t what I wanted!

After watching Bai Yunxian get hurt, Yun Shu’s confidence went down as her face looked sullen.

She didn’t come here with the intention of hurting him, she just wanted to take the opportunity for him to get strong.

’No, I should take him back before the situation gets any worse.’

As Yun Shu thought, she decided to take Bai Yunxian back. The adventure can wait, Bai Yunxian’s safety was her top priority.

However, as soon as Yun Shu drew her sword, the ground shook.

Before Yun Shu could figure it out, the grpund shook once more. And this time, it was so powerful that the zombies all fell down on their chest or back as they were howling and panicking.

"This is...!"

As Yun Shu realised what was going on, she turned around to see Bai Yunxian, who was trying his best to stand up and run towards Yun Shu.

However, he didn’t had the chance to get to her as the ground under him cracked in two sides, turning into a long and large abyss.

"Bai Yunxian...!"

The last thing he leard was Yun Shu’s panicked voice as she shouted and tried to catch him, before he fell in the deep abyss of darkness.

’Don’t worry about me, My Lord... I’ll definitely... come back to you...’

Bai Yunxian was happy to see the panicked expression on Yun Shu’s face.

’He was worrying for me, it feels... great.’

On the other hand, Yun Shu saw Bai Yunxian and some of the zombies vanishing in the crack as she felt both anxious and happy at the same time.

"I didn’t come in vain, it’s truly happening!"
