Chapter 84: Chapter 84: Carson Flores, Save Me!_1

Shirley Miller asked with surprise, "Can I get a loan?"

Keegan Boyd answered emphatically, "Of course you can. I’ve already looked into your company’s situation. The contract can be signed and the procedures can begin tomorrow. Once the contract is completed, fifty million can be transferred to your account immediately, with the remaining two hundred million arriving within ten days."

Shirley Miller felt a sense of unreality growing inside her and asked uncertainly, "This loan isn’t a small amount. Will there be any additional conditions?"

Keegan Boyd laughed, "No conditions. Haven’t I said it already? I give you the loan, you solve your company’s problems, and I take care of the loan business, it’s mutually beneficial, so why would there be any conditions?"

Shirley Miller was surprised; was there genuinely no strings attached, or was it just because there were too many people around to say anything?

Had Carson Flores guessed wrong?

"Thank you, Bank Manager Boyd, you’ve really helped me out a lot."

Keegan Boyd raised his glass smiling, "Pleasure doing business, let’s drink to that. Ms. Miller, you’ve been nursing that half-glass of wine all night."

At this point, Shirley Miller naturally couldn’t refuse any longer, and since there wasn’t much wine in the cup anyway, she finished it in one gulp.

Watching Shirley Miller drink the wine, Keegan Boyd’s eyes gleamed with triumphant scheming.

This goddess-like woman was about to become his prey!

Shirley Miller chatted for a few more minutes, then suddenly felt dizzy and reached out to steady her head.

Keegan Boyd smiled and asked, "Ms. Miller, what’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"

Shirley Miller shook her head, but her brain was growing more and more sluggish, and the faces in front of her began to blur.

Shirley Miller had come to the drinking party guardedly, especially with Carson Flores’s earlier warning. Now that she felt something was off, she quickly came to her senses.

This is not normal!

There’s something in the wine!

Shirley Miller instantly became alert inwardly, but outwardly she remained calm, and reached for her bag, smiling naturally, "I’m heading to the restroom."

Keegan Boyd’s eyes narrowed slightly as he smiled and asked, "Ms. Miller, are you sure you’re not feeling unwell?"

Shirley Miller’s complexion was natural, "No, not at all."

Keegan Boyd had suspected that Shirley Miller was feeling the effects of the drug and wanted to slip away, but seeing Shirley Miller looking so natural and seemingly fine, he couldn’t rightly stop her.

It’s not like he could prevent a woman from using the restroom, right?

And since the restrooms were all inside the rooms, she couldn’t escape.

Keegan Boyd watched as Shirley Miller entered the restroom with a natural stride, puzzled inside. Hadn’t the person who sold him the drug said it would work instantly?

Why was there no reaction?

He hadn’t been sold fake drugs, had he?

Just wait and see.

After all, the prey was already in sight; there was no way she could be allowed to get away today.

"Snap"

Shirley Miller locked the bathroom door with a swift movement, her body no longer able to hold itself up, collapsed to the floor.

Shirley Miller’s eyelids were getting heavier and her consciousness fuzzier. She pinched her thigh harshly.

The intense pain briefly cleared Shirley Miller’s mind.

Taking advantage of this brief clarity, Shirley Miller, while sitting on the toilet, quickly took out her phone and called Carson Flores.

"I’ve been drugged, I’m in the restroom, save me."

Carson Flores’s voice was steady and strong, "Don’t be afraid, I’m on my way."

The taut string in Shirley Miller’s mind suddenly relaxed, and she could no longer hold on; the phone fell to the floor, and her body slumped, her mind slipping into a groggy, dazed state.

Outside, Carson Flores hung up the phone and strode toward the main door.

The bodyguard at the door reached out to stop him, but before he could speak, Carson Flores grabbed the man’s wrist with a quick twist and push, sending the bodyguard crashing into another nearby.

In that brief moment, Carson Flores had already pushed the door open and entered the room.

Keegan Boyd, contemplating the forthcoming events, was startled to see Carson Flores enter and instinctively scolded, "Who let you in, get out!"

Carson Flores glanced at him without responding and turned toward the restroom, followed quickly by several bodyguards, one of whom thought to lock the door behind them.

Carson Flores tried the door, finding it locked, and knocked, but there was no response from the inside.

Carson Flores then struck the lock of the door with his palm. The door shook, the latch broke instantly, and the bathroom door swung open. He immediately saw Shirley Miller slumped over the toilet.

Carson Flores contorted his mouth in frustration.

Just as he had expected, it was a setup all along.

Keegan Boyd, witnessing this, realized he had been tricked by Shirley Miller.

She hadn’t gone to the restroom; she had gone in there to call for help!

Feeling deceived, an angry Keegan Boyd yelled, "Seize him!"

Four bodyguards surrounded Carson Flores, with the lead one reaching straight for Carson Flores’s shoulder.

Carson Flores casually extended his hand and grabbed the bodyguard’s wrist with lightning speed, twisting it sharply.

"Ahh!"

The guard collapsed to the ground as his four fingers were bent backward at a ninety-degree angle.

Keegan Boyd’s face froze in shock, staring incredulously at the guard writhing on the ground, clutching his fingers and howling in pain.

These four men were professionally trained bodyguards, each capable of taking on four or five ordinary people with no problem. And yet, before a single word was completed, one was already down?

"All at once!"

The remaining three bodyguards charged at Carson Flores with grim faces, but within seconds, all three were sprawled on the floor—one with a broken arm, another clutching his stomach and bending over like a cooked shrimp, and the last one cradling his thighs, his face purple with pain and his body convulsing...

The sudden turn of events shocked everyone present.

Keegan Boyd’s face drained of color as he gaped at Carson Flores in horror, "Who are you?"

Carson Flores walked over to Shirley Miller and checked her neck to ensure she was not in immediate danger, then turned around, his gaze landing on Keegan Boyd, "Keegan Boyd?"
