Chapter 799: Chapter 799: Is This the Depth of a Great Sect’s Foundation?_1
"You went to the Flower Moon Sect to drink?"
Delaney Hunter looked at Carson Flores with a slightly weird gaze, "Did you call for girls?"
Carson Flores quickly shook his head, "Sister, you misunderstand, we sat in the main hall, we didn’t call for girls, just found a place to drink, and incidentally to witness the Sky Demon Dance..."
Delaney Hunter’s expression immediately improved a lot, and she stretched out her delicate finger to poke Carson Flores’s forehead, "It’s fine to go drinking, but you must absolutely not mess around in those places, got it?"
Carson Flores quickly agreed, "Definitely! Definitely!"
Delaney Hunter asked, "Did you see the Sky Demon Dance?"
"I did."
Carson Flores eagerly recounted the incident with Lainey Dragon and Kash Lam, "It’s good that I had the lotus seeds of the Sky-reaching Lotus, which clarified my mind. Otherwise, I definitely would have made a fool of myself just like those other people."
Delaney Hunter said in surprise, "It seems that Lainey Dragon’s Sky Demon Dance has become even more refined."
Carson Flores curiously asked, "What exactly is the Sky Demon Dance?"
"A cultivation technique."
Delaney Hunter explained, "Most people think the Sky Demon Dance is just a dance that uses the body to seduce men. In truth, that’s a misunderstanding, or rather, it’s the lowest level of the Sky Demon Dance. Once the dance is cultivated to a profound level, there’s no need for seduction at all. Even a mere glance, a word, or a sound can completely bewitch the opponent, manipulating their consciousness, thus achieving control over them."
"You said her smile felt more powerful than her previous dance. This means that she has perfected the Sky Demon Dance. In actual combat, it can be very effective."
Carson Flores recalled how Lainey Dragon had controlled the cultivators in the hall and nodded, "Kash Lam exchanged a move with Lainey Dragon, and at first, he was not at a disadvantage. But as soon as Lainey Dragon began to mentally control everyone to attack him, Kash didn’t want to harm the innocent, so he had no choice but to flee in haste..."
Delaney Hunter laughingly said, "Kash Lam’s cultivation of the Divine Flame Technique clashes with Lainey Dragon’s nature, like fire and water. Because of their constitutions and cultivation techniques, even if they simply appear within a certain range of each other, they’d feel uncomfortable and have an innate desire to destroy the other. However, judging by your description, if we’re just talking about strength, Lainey Dragon is probably slightly less powerful than Kash Lam, but with the interference capability of her Sky Demon Dance, her overall combat power is not less than Kash’s."
Carson Flores sighed, "There are too many remarkable people in this world. First an Innate Taoist Body, and now two individuals with a Five Elements Spiritual Body. Who knows if there are any other strange and powerful talents out there."
"The world is vast, filled with wonders."
Delaney Hunter chuckled, "Keep a calm mind. Although we don’t have the shocking physiques of the innately gifted, as long as we complete the Sword Bone Tempering, we might not be weaker than them at the same level of cultivation. They can fight beyond their level, can’t we do the same?"
Carson Flores thought of the man in green and spoke up, "I also saw a strange man, in his thirties, dressed in green. He was casually shelling peanuts, totally unaffected by Lainey Dragon’s dance. What was weirdest is that Lainey seemed to not even see him. It’s clear that both he and I were unaffected, yet she came straight for me."
Delaney Hunter’s face showed a fleeting weird expression, and she laughed softly, "There are many unusual people in the world. As long as they don’t harbor ill will towards you, don’t bother with them."
Carson Flores, who had mentioned it in passing, nodded, "Yeah, let’s not bother with him. Everyone should be here by tomorrow, right?"
"Almost. Tomorrow will definitely be lively. Get some rest early today."
"Alright!"
The next day, just after Carson Flores had finished breakfast, a dragon chant suddenly echoed in the sky.
Everyone craned their necks, and then a tremendous flying boat appeared from the horizon. The Flying Boat was majestic and domineering, resembling a moving island, and in front, pulling the boat, were astonishingly nine black flood dragons!
The nine flood dragons were all black, their scales as dark as heavy ink, and their entire appearance was like that of iron casting, filled with intimidating might.
Carson Flores’s eyes widened in shock, "Which Sect does this belong to? Using nine flood dragons to pull a flying boat, isn’t that a bit too extravagant, too prestigious?"
Carson Flores himself had once casually mentioned wanting to have the clout to harness nine dragons for a flying boat, which would be prestigious and also could help in fights—how flashy it would be!
But now, it appeared someone was already doing exactly that. Though flood dragons were not true dragons, their presence was still quite imposing.
Indeed, it was a display of sheer style.
Delaney Hunter replied, "The Tai Yi Sect. Those nine black flood dragons are their guardian beasts that they have raised themselves. They bring them out for show during travel."
Carson Flores pursed his lips and stayed silent.
What more could he say when it was all before his eyes?
No sooner had the Tai Yi Sect’s flying boat landed than another extravagantly decorated giant flying boat appeared in the opposite sky, this one also pulled by mystical creatures.
Carson Flores took a closer look and was startled.
"Is that a Phoenix?"
Nine creatures that resembled Phoenixes, with their fiery red tails fluttering across the sky, made a magnificent display, carrying an air of nobility and an intimidating aura.
"The Demon Sun Sect! Those aren’t Phoenixes, but Flame Phoenixes with Phoenix blood. After all, who in this world could gather nine Five-clawed True Dragons and Divine Beasts like the Phoenix?"
Carson Flores gazed up at the soaring black flood dragons and the Flame Phoenixes dancing through the sky, his heart secretly astounded. A typical Sect couldn’t produce even one such guardian beast, yet here they were with nine, all uniform in color and similar in size, without any mixed colors or significant individual differences.
Was this the impressive foundation of the Great Sects?
