Chapter 541: Chapter 541: Are You Sleeping Separately, or Together?_1

"Shirley Miller, you have quite the nerve, daring to come here!"

Oscar Miller spoke coldly, "What, you’re here looking for that man who’s wanted all over by the Five Dragon Order?"

When Oscar Miller had met Carson Flores, he thought that Flores and Samantha Tate were a couple, and Shirley Miller was going to be Flores’s aunt by marriage. However, after the Miller Family was ruined, the Reid Family investigated and found out that it was Shirley Miller and Carson Flores who were the couple!

Legally married!

That realization struck Oscar Miller with sudden clarity, yet he also felt like a fool.

Shirley Miller said indifferently, "I am here today to settle our past debts."

Oscar Miller sneered, "And how will you settle them? Do you really think you can kill me with your own hands?"

Shirley Miller smiled slightly, "Why not?"

Oscar Miller, looking at Shirley Miller’s smile, felt an inexplicable jolt in his heart and a twinge of fear arose.

She’s here to kill me?

Could it be that there’s a powerful master lurking outside, waiting for Shirley Miller’s command to rush in and slay me the moment it’s given?

Oscar Miller composed himself and said coldly, "This is not Seashore. This is West Capital; this is the Reid Family’s territory. You can’t just do as you please here!"

Shirley Miller laughed, "I never thought that a man who so arrogantly treats women as playthings would stoop to marry a woman he does not love, just to survive. That, in itself, is a punishment for you..."

She paused, her gaze falling on Kaylee Reid, and spoke softly, "Miss Reid, I have no intention of hurting you. I simply know far more about this man’s true face than you do. Moreover, today, I must resolve the grudge between him and me. So, I apologize."

Kaylee Reid, looking at Shirley Miller who seemed like a fairy, already felt humbled. Biting her lip, she glanced at Oscar Miller beside her but remained silent.

Coming from a prominent family, she was well-aware why Oscar Miller married her. She simply liked him, and even though his love and smiles for her were feigned, she still felt happy.

Dexter Reid’s face grew cold, "Shirley Miller, if you have business, speak it. Don’t drag my daughter into this!"

Shirley Miller smiled faintly, "I am a woman, and I understand her. I spoke out of apology because I’m going to kill the man she loves. After all, she is innocent."

Dexter Reid sneered, "You plan to kill Oscar? How exactly—by waiting for a Great Grandmaster or an Innate Grandmaster to show up outside?"

Shirley Miller’s gaze remained calm as she stared at Oscar Miller, "No one. I will kill my own enemy."

"You, kill me?"

Oscar Miller laughed loudly, "How’s that? You’ve been gone a few months; did you hide away to train, thinking you got a bit of skill and now want to kill me? You’re too confident. What level could you possibly reach in a few months? I may not be able to beat your man, but can’t I beat you?"

He paused, then suddenly laughed maliciously, "Right, I just remembered, what’s the deal with you and Samantha Tate? Are you two sisters sharing one husband? You and Carson Flores entered into a marriage certificate, legally married, but kept it a secret. Publicly, Carson Flores and Samantha Tate claimed to be boyfriend and girlfriend, even meeting the parents."

"You, Shirley Miller, act all high and mighty; how are you not just an ordinary person? I’m quite curious. How did you two work this out? You got legal status, and she got the public reputation? And at night, what is it? You divide the days, or do all three of you share a big bed together?"

Shirley Miller replied with a calm expression, "That is our affair, it has nothing to do with you, nor with our grievance."

Oscar Miller said with a laugh, "Yes, of course. After all, if not for Carson Flores, who knows how many times you would have died by now. Samantha Tate would’ve been under my thumb long ago. In these times where the fist makes right, whom else could you rely on but him? If not for Carson Flores, would the Miller Family have been ruined?"

If this was before she met Leah Frost, Oscar Miller’s words would have certainly shaken Shirley Miller’s state of mind. But now, having seen through everything with a clear mind, how could Oscar Miller’s words provoke her into losing her composure?

Shirley Miller walked towards Oscar Miller. He panicked for no apparent reason, stepping back twice with a flicker in his eyes.

Dexter Reid shouted sternly, "How dare you! This is the Reid Family. You want to kill Oscar Miller, you’ll have to ask me first!"

Shirley Miller stopped in her tracks and fixed her gaze on Dexter Reid, "I know you are the head of the Reid Family, but can you represent the Innate Grandmaster of the Reid Family? If you can, call them here. I can give you time. I came here today to completely settle this trouble and not to have any lingering issues after I step out the door."

Dexter Reid’s pupils shrank, a sudden tension filling him.

He had investigated Shirley Miller and knew she was an ordinary person who never practiced martial arts. She vanished six months ago, and now that she has returned, her demeanor and presence seemed to indicate that she was no longer ordinary.

Dexter Reid pursed his lips, his gaze falling on the butler beside him, signaling with his eyes.

The butler understood and stepped towards Shirley Miller, reaching out to grab her.

"Miss Miller, the Reid Family does not welcome you. Please leave!"
