Chapter 540: Chapter 540: My name is Shirley Miller, and I’m looking for Oscar Miller_1
Shirley Miller left the tea house with mixed emotions and began to walk aimlessly along the street, her gaze filled with doubt and confusion.
When she returned, she had actually anticipated the possibility of Carson Flores being with another woman, but never did she expect that woman to be Samantha Tate, nor did she expect so much to have happened during this period.
Carson Flores and the Frost Family members had acknowledged each other.
Because of Santino Vasquez, Carson faced off against the Vasquez Family people. With strategic planning and a bloody battle, he exterminated the Vasquez Family.
Then he went up against the Five Dragon Sect, was wanted by the Five Dragon Order, and had to hide away in Mount Kahdas to cultivate, avoiding Gunner Tate’s pursuit.
How much had Carson sacrificed because of her?
From Polgel to Seashore, and then to Xijin...
Could she decisively leave Carson?
No!
"You can tolerate Camille Rhodes being with Carson without interference, yet why can’t you accept your own sister?"
Leah Frost’s final question struck her heart like lightning.
Was she unaware of the relationship between Carson and Camille Rhodes?
She knew!
She had learned it during a meal the three of them shared.
Thinking about Samantha’s eventual death, her last regret being that she hadn’t given herself to Carson and later begging him not to leave her, could she really betray Samantha?
Yes, since they both cared, why bother torturing each other?
Shirley’s confused eyes gradually cleared and brightened, with a few more decisive glints.
Shirley stopped her sluggish steps and randomly hailed a taxi.
"Sanpin Street, Reid Family’s Villa."
Shirley closed her eyes, her expression calm and inscrutable like an ancient well.
Reid Family’s Villa.
Shirley got out of the taxi and walked towards the gate.
The guard at the door looked at Shirley, his face instantly showing astonishment at her beauty—with her looks and aura, she was like a Fairy, making one feel that even an extra glance was a profanity.
"May I ask who you are here to see?"
Shirley answered indifferently, "Oscar Miller."
"I will inform him right away. May I know who is inquiring?"
Shirley smiled, "An old friend, Shirley Miller."
"Alright, please wait a moment."
The guard picked up the walkie-talkie and began to make the inquiry.
Inside the luxurious house, Dexter Reid and his family were dining. The butler approached and whispered into Reid’s ear.
Dexter Reid frowned and looked at Oscar Miller, "Oscar, that cousin from the Miller Family you mentioned before, what was her name... Shirley Miller, right?"
Oscar’s heart skipped a beat: "Yes, Dad, why bring her up all of a sudden?"
Dexter replied nonchalantly, "She’s at the door now, looking for you."
Oscar’s eyes widened in shock, "She’s looking for me? How many people are with her?"
Dexter answered, "She’s alone."
Oscar’s face showed confusion, "Hasn’t she been missing for months? How come she’s suddenly shown up again? Did she say what she wants?"
The butler shook his head, "She didn’t say, shall I ask?"
Dexter turned his head, "Bring her in. We might as well talk face to face."
"Alright!"
While Oscar remained puzzled, he was somewhat excited; Carson Flores was the person he hated the most, followed by Shirley Miller!
If it wasn’t for Shirley showing up with a Great Grandmaster at a critical moment, blocking Nash Acedvedo and saving Carson’s life, there wouldn’t have been so many subsequent events, the Miller Family might not have been destroyed, and he might not have had to flee ignominiously to the West Capital, let alone marry a woman who weighed over 200 pounds for the sake of safety!
Now, with Carson being pursued by the Five Dragon Order, hiding and trembling somewhere, here was Shirley showing up suddenly—could she be searching for information about Carson from him?
Should he take this opportunity to kill her?
By killing Shirley Miller, he would have avenged half his great grudge!
With that thought, a sudden surge of murderous intent filled Oscar’s eyes.
Dexter glanced at Oscar and said lightly, "If you want to kill someone, don’t do it on Reid Family’s territory. Although Carson is wanted, he’s not dead yet."
Seeing his intentions discovered, Oscar startled and restrained his murderous intent at once, "Okay, I understand."
Yes, he couldn’t kill her in the Reid Family’s home, so he would do it outside!
Shirley was just a powerless woman; it would only take a minute to kill her if someone was monitoring her, right?
With that thought, Oscar felt as if his blood was boiling, suffused with an exhilarating rush.
Footsteps sounded, and the butler led Shirley Miller into the hall.
When Shirley appeared, everyone’s gaze shifted slightly.
Dexter furrowed his brow, finding her really beautiful, but her presence was significant, and with a calm expression and confident eyes, she looked supremely self-assured—it seemed she had powerful backing.
Kaylee Reid gazed at Shirley, longing evident in her face.
So beautiful!
So slender!
If only she could be that beautiful, that slender. No, even half as much would probably make her wake up laughing from her sleep.
Oscar stared intently at Shirley, filled with murderous intent.
How had this detestable woman become even more beautiful, with an almost Fairy-like allure?
