Chapter 516: Chapter 516 Teaching a Lesson to the Stubborn Young Brother_1
Lilly Compton’s face suddenly changed, and she looked at Carson Flores with shock.
"How did you know?"
Carson Flores, smoking a cigarette, nodded his chin toward the door. "While you were showering, you must have arranged things with the people outside. You cracked the door open when I was showering, leaving it ajar, and now they must be standing at the door, probably waiting for me to throw you onto the bed before they burst in, right?"
Lilly Compton froze for two seconds, then immediately turned her head toward the door and yelled, "Come on in."
The door was pushed open, and four or five men walked in, each exuding a fierce aura.
"Man, that’s quite a flashy move."
The leader was a middle-aged man in his forties. After eyeing Carson Flores a few times, he pulled over a chair to sit down opposite him. "It’s pretty straightforward. What do you think should be done about this?"
Carson Flores smiled and said, "Can you tell me about your relationship?"
The middle-aged man smiled and replied, "If you must ask, then she’s my girlfriend."
Perhaps seeing Carson Flores behave so calmly, as if he were used to big scenes—and completely unpanicked—the middle-aged man also spoke quite candidly.
Carson Flores looked at Lilly Compton and laughed, "It seems like this isn’t your first time in Dingburg, is it?"
Lilly Compton pursed her lips and smiled, "Of course not."
Carson Flores chuckled, "To go fishing, you traveled so far to hitch a ride. You’re not worried about getting tired. And not all men can stand the trip to Dingburg without making moves. Aren’t you afraid of coming up short?"
Lilly Compton smiled and said, "Then I wouldn’t mind giving them a beating first."
Carson Flores nodded and joked, "It seems I should thank you for not hitting me then."
Lilly Compton, with a smile, said, "Carson, you’re handsome, rich, and very generous. I quite like you. Just let go of a little money, and we can resolve this amicably. We won’t make things difficult for you."
Carson Flores glanced at the dark-complexioned middle-aged man, "A local?"
The middle-aged man smiled, "Naturally."
Carson Flores laughed, "I was just saying I needed to ask some locals for directions, and I was wondering where to go. You arrived just in time, which is great."
The middle-aged man’s smile faded as he raised a finger, "One million, and we’ll be on our way."
Carson Flores smiled, "I’m not lacking a million, but if I give you the money, I’ll be a laughing stock later on. You guys seem amiable; I’ll offer an amiable solution as well. Answer my questions, then head out the door, close it, and I’ll act like you never came in. I’ll just continue sleeping with this beauty."
The middle-aged man’s eyes widened, and suddenly he laughed, "Kid, you must not have woken up yet. What, do you think we’ve been too friendly?"
Carson Flores laughed, "Maybe that’s it. Look at you guys, not carrying a blade or even a stick, smiling so amicably—it makes it hard to feel threatened, right?"
The middle-aged man stared at Carson Flores for a few moments, then suddenly turned to look at Lilly Compton, "It seems the one you’ve chosen this time is a tough nut to crack."
Lilly Compton folded her arms and spoke indifferently, "Let’s see how tough your fists are."
The middle-aged man sneered, "You might be powerful elsewhere, but this is Dingburg. Here, it’s very common for a few foreign tourists to die."
Carson Flores smiled faintly and stubbed out the cigarette in the ashtray. He stood up, "Let’s get started, don’t waste time. Such a lovely evening is better spent holding a beauty in sleep."
The middle-aged man stood up, waving his right hand, "Teach this tough-talking young fella a lesson, let him see what happens when you talk tough!"
The four men behind the middle-aged man circled Carson Flores, and then they all fell down within a moment’s encounter.
No matter how the four men tried to block, the slaps from Carson Flores’s hand always landed on their faces. With one slap, one would faint, and in less than five seconds, all four were out.
The middle-aged man was slightly surprised but not afraid. He sneered, "So you’re a Cultivator, no wonder you’re so arrogant. But you’ve hit someone from the Ironwood Sect. Now, a million won’t be enough to settle this."
"The Ironwood Sect?"
Carson Flores raised an eyebrow, "A Cultivation Sect?"
The middle-aged man spoke proudly, "Yes, the Ironwood Sect is Dingburg’s strongest Cultivation Sect, and the Sect Master, Stephen Howell, is a Peak Great Master."
"A Peak Great Master, that’s indeed quite formidable!"
Carson Flores casually commented, his gaze falling on Lilly Compton’s face, "So does that mean you’re with the Ironwood Sect?"
Caught under Carson Flores’s stare, Lilly Compton’s eyes flitted about in slight panic, an inexplicable fear rising in her heart, "I am not a member of the Ironwood Sect, our relationship is purely cooperative."
Carson Flores nodded, staring at the middle-aged man, "One question, do you know where the Jade Pool of Mount Kahdas is?"
"The Jade Pool of Mount Kahdas?"
The middle-aged man’s eyes widened, "The very same that’s said to be inhabited by an Immortal?"
