"Hey handsome, my name is Lilly Compton. What do they call you?"

After Carson Flores had started the car, the young woman regained her enthusiasm and initiative as if the awkwardness from before had completely vanished.

Carson Flores, with a cigarette in his lips, replied casually: "Carson Flores."

He had agreed to give the woman a ride because driving alone could be a bit dull, and having someone to talk to would be entertaining. Besides, the woman was pretty and pleasing to the eye, wasn’t she?

Lilly Compton’s luggage didn’t include a tent or any camping gear, and her skin was fair. Her clean suitcase indicated that she was not truly backpacking. The open collar of her shirt, deliberately showing off her chest, hinted at the bargaining chip she was willing to use.

Lilly Compton seemed to be quite talkative, chatting all the way, subtly probing into Carson Flores’ background. Carson Flores casually spun stories, which eased the loneliness of the journey.

By evening, the car arrived at Dingburg.

Dingburg wasn’t large; it was the last stop before entering the Mount Kahdas Range. Many tourists who were going up to the snowy mountains, as well as adventurers, used Dingburg as a supply and rest station.

The Mount Kahdas Range was vast and sprawling, mostly covered in snow year-round. Carson Flores had looked at the map, and while there were many ponds in Mount Kahdas, he wasn’t sure which one was the Jade Pool that Isabella Roth had mentioned.

Carson Flores planned to ask the locals in Dingburg; as the city closest to the Mount Kahdas Range, it was filled with countless adventurers from Kahdas, and there were many legends about Mount Kahdas. Perhaps someone knew where the so-called Jade Pool was located.

Carson Flores pulled over, turned his head with a smile, and said, "We’ve arrived at Dingburg. You can go find the next handsome guy now. Goodbye."

Lilly Compton was taken aback.

"Carson, are you telling me to leave?"

Carson Flores glanced at Lilly Compton’s chest: "What, really planning to repay the car debt with your body?"

Lilly Compton pursed her lips: "I don’t have money for a hotel."

Carson Flores chuckled: "So, you mean you want to have dinner with me, stay in the same hotel, and then sleep together?"

Lilly Compton, already familiar with Carson Flores’ style, and not shy anymore, smiled and said, "The main thing is, you’re handsome, Carson. Traveling around Western Kahdas with such a handsome guy makes the mood completely different."

Carson Flores laughed: "Alright then. Since you came here to tour, you must have done your homework, right? What are the good places to eat and play around here?"

Lilly Compton’s eyes lit up: "We could stay at the Kahdas Grand Hotel, climb Mount Kahdas to see the snow, and also go to the geological park to see various colored rock layers..."

Carson Flores smiled: "Okay, first let’s check into the hotel."

At the hotel, Carson Flores naturally booked a room with a large bed, and Lilly Compton, smiling, accompanied him without any objection.

The two went out to dinner together, and Carson Flores wasn’t stingy, taking Lilly Compton to a high-end restaurant in Dingburg for a good meal, which made her very happy.

When they left the fine dining restaurant, Lilly Compton was naturally linking arms with Carson Flores, as if they were a couple.

After wandering the streets for a while, they returned to the hotel.

"I’ll take a shower first."

Lilly Compton entered the bathroom, and after about half an hour, came out smelling fresh and clean, wearing a white bathrobe, exposing her long, fair legs.

"Carson, you should take a shower too."

Carson Flores didn’t refuse; after a long day on the road, he was tired as well.

After a relaxing bath, Carson Flores, dressed in a bathrobe, came out and sat on the bed, casually turning on the TV.

"Carson, it’s getting late; let’s go to bed."

Carson Flores looked up and chuckled: "It’s kind of troublesome to go to sleep now. Let’s finish what needs doing first, and then sleep."

Lilly Compton playfully rolled her eyes at Carson Flores and lay down, slightly opening her robe to reveal her fair shoulder: "You’re really impatient..."

Carson Flores took out his cigarette pack, lit one up, and looked at Lilly Compton with a smile, his expression a bit profound.

Lilly Compton suddenly felt bewildered. With her in that pose, shouldn’t he be pouncing on her like a hungry wolf with gleaming eyes?

"Carson, what’s wrong?"

Carson Flores nodded toward the door not far away: "Don’t you have a companion outside the door? Aren’t you going to invite them in?"
