Chapter 152: Chapter 152: Little Lamb? This is a Great White Shark!_1
The man picked up the contract, glanced at the signature and seal, and laughed, "He who knows the times is a wise man, you’re very smart, you can save us all a lot of trouble."
Shirley Miller glared at the man, "I’ve already signed, when can we leave?"
The man just smiled, "Next, you’ll need to do a bit of cooperating. If things go smoothly, you can go back tomorrow morning."
Shirley Miller asked, "Cooperate with what?"
The man laughed heartily, "Just a trifle, the night is long and everyone’s bored, let’s find some fun together, I trust you won’t mind."
The several men around them all revealed lecherous gazes and burst into loud laughter.
Shirley Miller’s complexion turned deathly pale; in this remote place, where cries to heaven went unheard and pleas to earth went unanswered, what these men wanted to do, was already clear without saying.
Carson Flores took in his surroundings. Before they signed the contract, in order to pressure Shirley Miller into signing, they’d aimed their guns at Carson Flores and Shirley Miller. But now that the contract was signed, the two gunmen had lowered their weapons, no longer on guard. After all, to them, these two were like lambs to the slaughter, utterly incapable of resistance.
Carson Flores approached the gunman closest to him, "You’re from the Browning Family, right? Now that we’ve come to this, there’s something I must tell you."
The men’s smiles suddenly froze, and they looked at Carson Flores in surprise.
The leader asked in astonishment, "How did you know we’re from the Browning Family?"
During the momentary shock of the men, Carson Flores had already reached the gunman and said, "Mary, close your eyes!"
Shirley Miller didn’t know what Carson Flores intended to do but instinctively closed her eyes.
Carson Flores bent his fingers, and threw a punch.
Fast as a phoenix eye, the punch instantly shattered the gunman’s throat.
The gunman had intuitively raised the barrel the moment Carson Flores made his move, but Carson Flores’s left hand, as swift as a specter, had already seized the barrel and swung it to the side.
"Boom!"
The gunman almost instinctively pulled the trigger, sending a spray of buckshot that left another gunman bleeding profusely and screaming in agony as he fell, gun dropping to the ground.
Carson Flores, holding the barrel, snatched the shotgun into his own hands. Without reversing it, he just swung it backward. The stock of the shotgun smashed directly into the leader’s head.
The leader reacted quickly as well, instinctively raising his arms to protect his head, but the shotgun crashed viciously onto his forearm.
The wooden stock burst apart, and the man’s arm was shattered. He staggered, barely keeping his balance when Carson Flores, with a side-kick sweep, sent him flying straight into the wall with a thud, causing a large section of the brick facade to cave in.
Carson Flores didn’t stop. He flicked his foot and rolled the heavy wooden table toward a man trying to pick up a gun. He rushed forward close behind.
The man was knocked aside by the solid wood table. By the time he recovered, Carson Flores was already in front of him, delivering a hook punch that sent him flying, blood spraying in the air along with several pearly white teeth.
Carson Flores bent down to pick up the gun, turned the barrel around, and aimed it directly at the forehead of the last man rushing at him with a dagger.
The man’s face turned pale in an instant, he hastily dropped the dagger, raised his hands, and pleaded, "Big brother, spare my life!"
"Kneel down!"
Without a word, the man knelt down, his eyes filled with terror. He couldn’t understand how this man could turn from a meek lamb into a ferocious great white shark in a blink of an eye.
Carson Flores stepped back a few paces, picked up the contract they had just signed, and handed it to Shirley Miller.
"Alright, Mary, you can open your eyes now. It might be a bit gory, so if you’re afraid of blood, hide behind me and don’t look."
Shirley Miller opened her eyes, quickly scanning the room. Seeing the gunman who had been beaten into a Blood Gourd, and another man clutching his neck who had already stopped breathing, her expression changed slightly, but her gaze did not waver.
Shirley Miller quickly focused on Carson Flores, looking him over, "Are you hurt?"
Carson Flores answered, "No, they were just a few nobodies. If they hadn’t kept their guns trained on you, and I hadn’t been afraid of hurting you, I would have moved earlier."
Shirley Miller let out a sigh of relief, took the contract from Carson Flores, her emotions surging.
It had just been a few seconds, yet Carson Flores had brought down all five men.
He was too impressive! When he previously said he was good at fighting, she thought he was only slightly better than the average person, but she had never imagined he could be this powerful!
"Tear it up. You sit down and take a break; I’ll interrogate them."
Shirley Miller angrily tore up the contract she just signed and asked, "You said they’re from the Browning Family; which Browning Family?"
Carson Flores answered, "The one from the Browning Group, one of the three major cultivator families of Polgel. If I’m not mistaken, behind the Browning Family is still your cousin..."
