Chapter 1470: Chapter 1470 It’s just for show, you think I don’t know
The ingredients for the Nine Revolutions Great Land Pill are incredibly rare. Either they require an extremely high age threshold or are nearly extinct in the world. Forget about collecting them all—even finding just one is quite difficult.
The two were rather lucky. Aside from the auxiliary materials that could be found, the Nine Revolutions Great Land Pill required a total of eight main ingredients, and the Valley of Myriad Medicines happened to have one of them.
Divine Light Bamboo Core.
Divine Light Bamboo is a highly peculiar type of bamboo. Once it grows, it emits a soft white light and carries a tranquil, harmonious aura. Meditating in a grove of Divine Light Bamboo greatly enhances one’s effectiveness.
While bamboo stalks are typically hollow, Divine Light Bamboo grows a bamboo core. However, not every stalk develops one—it’s roughly a one-in-ten-thousand chance. In other words, among ten thousand stalks of Divine Light Bamboo, there’s only one that might grow a core.
The growth of the Divine Light Bamboo Core is silent and brief, making it incredibly difficult to detect and dependent on luck.
Divine Light Bamboo has become increasingly scarce throughout the Thunder Immortal Realm, and naturally, its core is even more rare. The bamboo core held by the Valley of Myriad Medicines is from an old stockpile.
The good news is that they found a Divine Light Bamboo Core; the bad news is that there is only one. Yet, crafting a single Nine Revolutions Great Land Pill requires a complete bamboo core.
Clearly, this single bamboo core belongs to Selah Ellison Fairy. After all, she needed it urgently, whereas Carson Flores was merely planning ahead.
Selah Ellison Fairy unceremoniously placed it into her Space Ring. "If I come across more, I’ll save some for you later."
Carson Flores didn’t mind. "Alright!"
After securing the Green Lotus Fire Spring, Carson Flores left Gideon Campbell a list of immortal elixirs, including the primary ingredients for the Nine Revolutions Great Land Pill, as well as ingredients for other premium elixirs from the Primitive Pill Scripture mixed in. It was impossible to distinguish which ones were which.
Carson Flores instructed Gideon Campbell to send any discovered immortal elixirs to the White Crane Immortal Sect’s Heavenly Sword Peak, where Carson would purchase them at a high price.
Gideon Campbell readily agreed. After all, it wasn’t as if Carson Flores wouldn’t pay, and Carson was Bank Austin’s disciple—a highly respected figure in the White Crane Immortal Sect, with considerable influence. Building ties with him was as good as connecting with the entire sect.
These days, isn’t everything about personal strength and the clout of one’s backing?
"Let’s go!"
Carson Flores and Selah Ellison Fairy left the Valley of Myriad Medicines, boarding their flying shuttle and heading east.
"Where are we going now?"
"To Fiery Flame Canyon, to hatch the Golden-Winged Great Roc."
Carson Flores naturally had no objections and casually handed a Space Ring to Selah Ellison Fairy.
"This was the spoils I extorted earlier..."
Selah Ellison Fairy’s lips curled faintly. "For me?"
Carson Flores laughed. "If it weren’t for you, how could I have defeated Nathanael Hinton? Of course it’s yours."
Selah Ellison Fairy smiled faintly. "Keep it. These things are useless to me. Right now, outside of the Nine Revolutions Great Land Pill, I’m uninterested in anything else."
Carson Flores retrieved the ring and grinned. "Fairy, you are generous. Thank you!"
Selah Ellison Fairy shot him a glare. "You’re just putting on a show. Do you think I don’t know?"
Carson Flores blinked innocently. "How is that pretending? I’m being sincere."
Selah Ellison Fairy snorted softly and extended her delicate hand. "Well, I’ve changed my mind. I won’t give it to you. Hand it over!"
Carson Flores didn’t budge. Smiling broadly, he remarked, "Didn’t you say it was useless? Consider it an incentive for your subordinate then."
Selah Ellison Fairy withdrew her hand, curling her lips disdainfully. "Shameless!"
Carson Flores chuckled without care.
Although he knew Selah Ellison Fairy wouldn’t actually accept, if he simply pocketed the items without saying a word, it would undoubtedly leave an impression of greed and opportunism.
By indulging in this playful back-and-forth, Carson Flores could keep the items with a clear conscience.
If she truly objected, how could he take anything?
Nathanael Hinton, being a Golden Immortal and Supreme Elder of the Green Willow Sect, was undoubtedly the sect’s strongest opponent. Naturally, he carried valuable items with him. The others, True Immortals that they were, also brought along their own treasures.
Among the loot were five million Immortal Spirit Stones, several potent magical treasures, piles of talismans, and several cultivation techniques of respectable grade. However, most were suited for Cultivators possessing a wood-affinity Spiritual Root, so they were of little use to Carson Flores.
All things considered, it was a hefty gain.
Five million Immortal Spirit Stones have considerable purchasing power, but clearly, Selah Ellison Fairy was wealthier; she didn’t even blink at the sum.
When Carson Flores first entered the Barbaric Wilderness Realm, he’d experienced a period of poverty. Later, as he defeated countless foes—sometimes extinguishing entire sects—his coffers had never lacked Spirit Stones since.
When it comes to making money, what’s faster than looting?
Given their enmity, Carson Flores naturally wouldn’t miss any opportunities to profit.
Now that Carson Flores had entered the Immortal Realm and joined the White Crane Immortal Sect, he’d been consumed with adventuring and cultivating, leaving little need to spend Immortal Spirit Stones. So, for the moment, he wasn’t short on them. However, he anticipated that once he started learning alchemy, his expenditures would begin to skyrocket.
Crafting premium elixirs comes at staggering costs per furnace, and mastering the technique requires numerous attempts at refining—how many furnaces would it take to truly hone the skill?
