Chapter 1462: Chapter 1462: The Immortal Path is Endless, Treasure Every Step

"What kind of status does Selah Ellison Fairy have?"

"I don’t know either."

Lilianna Norman paused as she was picking up a dish with her chopsticks, her expression turning somewhat peculiar: "You don’t even know who she is, yet you became her subordinate? How did you two meet?"

Carson Flores wouldn’t dare reveal how he first encountered Selah Ellison Fairy. If he did, and it let anything slip, Selah Ellison Fairy might just get embarrassed and furious enough to kill him.

"I had a conflict with the Winter Thunder Sect before and got injured. I was hiding in a mountain crevice to recover when she happened to steal the Golden-Winged Great Roc’s egg and got chased into the crevice. We ran into each other and helped each other out a little. I told her I was a Loose Cultivator, and she said I could follow her and help her with some tasks. Seeing how powerful she was, I agreed."

Helped each other?

Lilianna Norman chuckled but didn’t ask for details anymore. In her eyes, Carson Flores always had some peculiar abilities that enabled him to perform extraordinary feats that others couldn’t manage.

"I really owe you more and more now...."

Carson Flores laughed lightly: "What’s between us doesn’t need mentioning."

Lilianna Norman pursed her lips and said no more.

Some things were better left in one’s heart.

After their meal, the two returned to the hotel. At the room door, Lilianna Norman turned around and looked at Carson Flores, her gaze complex.

During their meal, they had drunk a bit of alcohol. Lilianna Norman’s cheeks were flushed, making her look radiant and enchanting.

"Rest well."

"Hmm!"

Lilianna Norman pursed her lips again, took a step forward, and hugged Carson Flores.

It wasn’t her first time hugging Carson Flores. Back in the Bandit Group’s hideout, in order to prove she was Carson Flores’ lover, she had hugged him in front of everyone and even taken care of him closely—though back then, Carson Flores wasn’t wearing clothes.

Carson Flores wasn’t too surprised. He smiled softly, wrapped his arms lightly around Lilianna Norman, and gently patted her back.

"Work hard—you’ll surpass me soon!"

"Hmm!"

Lilianna Norman responded quietly, then suddenly raised her head, stood on her tiptoes slightly, and kissed Carson Flores.

"Goodnight!"

Lilianna Norman let go of him, her face flushed like the evening clouds, avoiding his gaze as she hurriedly turned and entered her room.

"Thunk!"

Watching the door close in front of him, Carson Flores pursed his lips slightly, his expression faintly surprised.

This time, she had kissed him on the lips.

Carson Flores paused for two seconds and then turned back to his own room.

That kiss contained the joy of reunion, gratitude, and perhaps also the long-hidden feelings buried deep in her heart.

For now, let it be.

The Immortal Path is long; they could talk about it later.

On the next day, Lilianna Norman didn’t linger anymore. After thanking Selah Ellison Fairy once again, she left freely.

Selah Ellison Fairy hovered mid-air, her tone leisurely: "Old lover?"

Carson Flores turned around and smiled: "A friend—just someone I’ve been through a lot with."

Selah Ellison Fairy snorted coldly: "A friend you kissed on the lips?"

Carson Flores blinked, not even feeling embarrassed: "It was just a moment of impulsiveness."

Selah Ellison Fairy curled her lips into a smile: "Is your skin that thick? That’s quite the fresh and unconventional reasoning. But you, being a grown man, didn’t even think about entering her room and progressing things when a beauty took the initiative?"

Carson Flores answered matter-of-factly: "I have a wife."

Selah Ellison Fairy’s gaze showed faint surprise: "You seem to have quite the number of stories. Tell me about them."

Carson Flores laughed: "Let’s get going first. I’ll tell you when we’re free—how’s that?"

Selah Ellison Fairy wasn’t in a rush: "Alright!"

Carson Flores asked: "Where are we heading next?"

Selah Ellison Fairy replied: "To the Valley of Myriad Medicines."

Carson Flores asked: "For the materials needed for the Nine Revolutions Great Land Pill?"

Selah Ellison Fairy smiled: "I heard the Valley of Myriad Medicines has the Green Lotus Fire Spring. I need it to hatch the Golden-Winged Great Roc’s egg. Of course, the Valley also has various Spiritual Medicines; we might as well gather some materials for the Nine Revolutions Great Land Pill."

She paused before adding: "Although you’re only a Human Immortal now, it’s best to collect the materials when you can. After all, they’re not easy to come by. Also, Alchemy never guarantees a hundred percent success rate."

Carson Flores nodded: "I need to improve my Alchemy skills too."

Selah Ellison Fairy acknowledged softly: "Even though you hold a notable position at White Crane Immortal Sect, their Alchemy skills are unimpressive...."

Naturally, Carson Flores understood White Crane Immortal Sect. Their combat strength wasn’t bad. While they didn’t have any Heavenly Immortal Realm experts, they at least had a Peak Golden Immortal stationed. However, their accomplishments in Alchemy Dao were truly lackluster.

Although Carson Flores had some groundwork in Alchemy and possessed the powerful Primitive Pill Scripture, relying solely on himself to figure things out would likely waste an untold amount of time, take countless detours, and lead to uncertain results.

"Fairy, do you have any good suggestions?"

Selah Ellison Fairy smiled: "The solution is simple: either find a mentor or pay for guidance."

Carson Flores deliberated for two seconds: "I’ve already joined White Crane Immortal Sect and hold a fairly high seniority there. If I were to seek another mentor, it might damage White Crane Immortal Sect’s reputation. What does ’pay for guidance’ entail?"

"Paying for guidance is just a figure of speech."

Selah Ellison Fairy answered casually: "You offer a certain compensation to a master of Alchemy Dao willing to teach you. Since it’s a transaction, you don’t need to formally become their disciple, and there’s no issue of seniority."

Carson Flores frowned, sounding conflicted: "Masters of Alchemy Dao likely don’t lack Immortal Spirit Stones. Who would bother teaching a stranger just for Immortal Spirit Stones?"

Selah Ellison Fairy smiled slightly: "Masters of Alchemy Dao may not lack Immortal Spirit Stones, but you have things they want."
