The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard -
Chapter 1445: I’ll stamp it for you; you’re my person now!
Chapter 1445: Chapter 1445: I’ll stamp it for you; you’re my person now!
Carson Flores said this to explain two things to the other party: first, that he arrived here first and did not come here specifically to spy on her; second, that he observed proper conduct, did not spy on her, and would not spread rumors. He even emphasized that he didn’t know who she was, so she didn’t need to consider killing him to silence him.
The logic was sound, but Carson Flores couldn’t predict how the other party would react.
In the world of cultivation, strength reigns supreme.
If one’s power is sufficient, killing someone to cover up a matter would be a cultivator’s instinctive choice.
The woman stared at Carson Flores and said, "You claim you are a Loose Cultivator?"
Carson’s heart skipped a beat, but he kept a calm face. "Yes."
Confirming his status as a Loose Cultivator—was she preparing to attack him?
The woman scrutinized Carson Flores. "You seem quite young. How old are you?"
Carson casually answered, "Nearly forty."
The woman’s eyes lit up slightly. A Loose Cultivator, so young, achieving the level of a Human Immortal—his talent was truly impressive.
Initially, the woman was indeed considering killing Carson Flores, but upon seeing his clear and sincere gaze, an alternative thought suddenly came to her mind.
"I should have killed you..."
Should have?
Carson Flores found this word debatable, but considering the survival-of-the-fittest nature of the Immortal Path, he let it go and listened calmly.
Going by her tone, she didn’t seem determined to kill him, right?
"Whether you peeked or not is known only to you, but the fact remains—you came first, and I came later. For that reason, I’ll spare your life."
Carson Flores cupped his hands in gratitude. "Thank you for your understanding."
The woman coldly responded, "Don’t thank me just yet. I may be willing to spare your life, but from now on, you’ll have to follow me and handle tasks for me."
Carson Flores was taken aback, furrowing his brows slightly.
"A servant?"
The woman replied icily, "Yes. Don’t worry—so long as you devote yourself to serving me, I will not mistreat you."
Carson Flores shook his head, slow but resolute. "I don’t accept."
A chilling killing intent erupted from the woman, and the crevice in the mountains instantly felt like an ice cavern, the cold penetrating to the bone.
"You don’t accept?"
Carson Flores maintained a calm expression. "Correct. I’m the type of person who refuses to yield, no matter the consequences."
The woman locked her cold gaze on Carson Flores. "Then you’re unafraid of death? Unafraid of your soul vanishing?"
Carson Flores smiled faintly. "Without freedom, I’d rather die."
Though Carson Flores appeared pale, clearly wounded, his words radiated an unmistakable confidence.
As a man, Carson Flores was willing to gracefully resolve this awkward situation, but that didn’t mean he would stoop to compromising his principles.
Though the woman was enormously powerful, so much so that Carson was entirely outmatched, he still possessed one Sword Qi technique and the Palace of Seven Beauties. He wasn’t without a fighting chance.
A hint of surprise flickered through the woman’s eyes, as if she hadn’t expected Carson Flores to demonstrate such unyielding resolve.
After a few seconds of staring into his eyes, the woman nodded. "Fine. I’ll compromise. You won’t be a servant—you’ll be my subordinate. Fulfill my orders. Should you refuse again, I’ll kill you."
A subordinate?
Well, that didn’t matter.
Being a servant meant surrendering his True Soul, leaving his life and death in someone else’s hands. But as a subordinate, there were no such bindings. Worst case, he could always run away. Could she really chase him down?
Carson Flores could sense the decisiveness in her tone this time. If he refused again, a battle would undoubtedly ensue.
Carson Flores replied briskly, "All right."
The woman raised her hand, sending a small ray of light toward Carson Flores. "Here’s your mark. From now on, you’re mine. If you dare run, I’ll kill you!"
Spiritual Imprint!
Carson Flores hesitated slightly but ultimately didn’t resist.
He only had one Sword Qi technique left—wasting it now wouldn’t be wise. If things truly soured later, he could retaliate then. Besides, the Palace of Seven Beauties could block all tracking imprints, so it wasn’t much of a concern.
With that, the matter was settled.
Carson Flores had unwittingly become the subordinate of a mysterious and terrifyingly powerful woman. He asked, "What should I call you?"
The woman’s gaze lingered on Carson Flores’ face for a couple of seconds before saying, "Selah Ellison... Fairy."
Carson Flores nodded calmly and cupped his hands. "Greetings, Selah Ellison Fairy. Please take good care of me."
Selah Ellison Fairy studied Carson and asked, "You’ve never heard of my name before?"
Carson Flores shook his head. "I’m merely a Loose Cultivator and tend to train alone. I rarely interact with others..."
Selah Ellison Fairy nodded. "I’m traveling alone this time, and there are matters that need managing. Serve me well, and I won’t treat you unfairly."
As she spoke, Selah Ellison Fairy tossed Carson Flores a small porcelain bottle. "I noticed your Divine Spirit is wounded. This is a God Jade Pill. Once you take it, you’ll heal quickly."
Carson Flores’ eyes lit up as he caught the bottle. "Thank you, Fairy!"
The Eight-Armed Arhat and Carson Flores were now spiritually connected. Fighting against two Earth Immortals had caused enormous impact on Carson’s Divine Spirit. This injury couldn’t be cured by ordinary elixirs, which only addressed physical wounds, not issues of the Divine Spirit.
The God Jade Pill, however, specifically targeted injuries of the Divine Spirit. It was considered a top-grade elixir—immensely valuable and nearly impossible to come by on the market!
Selah Ellison Fairy was truly affluent!
Carson Flores’ initial resistance toward Selah Ellison Fairy suddenly subsided significantly.
As long as the wealthy were generous, serving them for a while wasn’t unbearable!
Besides, wandering aimlessly around the Blackstone Mountain Range was a waste of time anyway. Having a powerful backer wasn’t such a bad idea!
