Chapter 1444: Did You See Everything?

Chapter 1444: Chapter 1444: Did You See Everything?

The woman was stunning, with long legs, a curvaceous figure, and a slender waist, all laid bare before Carson Flores. Yet Carson could confidently say it was absolutely not appealing!

Not only was it unappealing, but quite horrifying!

Even the most beautiful woman, once her body was covered in bloody wounds, wouldn’t look good to anyone except perhaps a degenerate.

Carson endured immense torment.

He knew well—the longer he looked now, the worse things would get if he were caught later.

He could only hope the demonic beast would hurry up and leave, so the woman could finish applying her medicine, get dressed, and leave this place.

But fate rarely grants such wishes—the demonic beast did not leave; instead, it drew closer and closer.

"Chirp!"

The dominating sound of a bird’s cry rang out again, this time directly overhead.

Carson’s heart tightened—the demonic beast was coming closer!

If it spotted them, wouldn’t he be dragged into this mess?

The demonic beast flew over the mountain peak and headed into the distance, only to turn around shortly after and fly back.

Evidently, the demonic beast knew its target was hiding nearby, and so it circled around in search. Fortunately, the two hiding in the crevice had taken precautions—one had applied a Death Imprint to mask their life force, while the other had set up a Formation to conceal their energy, keeping them from being found.

At first, the woman’s expression was filled with tension. But seeing that the demonic beast hadn’t immediately found her, she let out a sigh of relief and relaxed her taut body.

The woman applied medicine to her wounds. The medicinal effects were astonishing—almost instantly, her wounds stopped bleeding and began healing rapidly.

From her Space Ring the woman took out clothing and dressed herself. Finally, she had the leisure to inspect the situation within the crevice.

The crevice was deep and dark. The woman walked a few steps further inward before halting, ready to give up her search. But suddenly, her expression transformed dramatically.

In the shadows ahead, behind a stone, a corner of a robe was exposed upon the ground.

Someone was there!

The woman’s eyes widened sharply—first with surprise, then shame and fury, followed by a fierce killing intent.

The noises she’d made earlier, weren’t they completely exposed to the person behind the stone?

She had stripped completely!

"Who’s there? Come out!"

Behind the stone, Carson sighed—he had been discovered after all.

Carson wasn’t eager to step forward. He spoke in a low voice: "We’re both in distress, hiding here to tend to our wounds. Can we let this matter rest?"

The woman’s beautiful face instantly flushed crimson, and her stunningly sharp phoenix eyes filled with both killing intent and embarrassment.

"You saw everything?"

Carson chuckled bitterly inwardly and responded aloud, "I was practicing cultivation to heal myself."

The woman gritted her teeth, and a sleek, elegant sword floated beside her: "Come out, or I won’t show mercy!"

Sighing in resignation, Carson stood up from behind the stone and cupped his hands in greeting: "The demonic beast outside hasn’t left yet—it’s best not to start a fight. If we trigger its attention, neither of us will survive."

The woman scrutinized Carson. His face was handsome, his demeanor extraordinary, and most notably, his gaze was clean and devoid of any vulgarity.

Her mood eased slightly. Coldly, she asked, "Did you see anything?"

Carson knew lying would be futile and answered frankly, "You suddenly burst in, so I naturally observed. But when you started undressing, I stopped looking."

The woman’s face darkened with a hint of red, her voice icy: "You didn’t look?"

With a calm expression, Carson replied, "Your body was covered in wounds and dripping with blood..."

Before Carson could finish, the woman understood.

A body full of wounds, bleeding heavily—what was there to admire?

The woman couldn’t deny the truth; an attractive physique bathed in blood and with flesh exposed would hardly be appealing. Unless someone was a degenerate, no one would enjoy such a sight.

The woman’s gaze was like a blade, sharp and piercing, firmly locked on Carson. Carson remained composed and met her gaze, showing no guilt.

What he said was true. When the woman had barged in, he had been cautious and wary of her movements. But upon noticing her undressing to treat her wounds, he had withdrawn his attention and refrained from watching further.

After a long while, the sharpness in the woman’s eyes faded slightly, and her killing intent diminished somewhat.

"Who are you? State your name."

Carson cupped his hands in greeting: "A loose cultivator, Carson Flores."

As Carson gave his name, his own gaze closely observed the woman, watching for her reaction.

This time, he chose not to reveal that he was a disciple of the White Crane Immortal Sect’s Heavenly Sword Bank Austin.

If this woman happened to have ties with the Winter Thunder Sect or Infinite Sword Sect, it would be trouble for him.

Judging by the woman’s expression, she clearly harbored thoughts of killing him to silence and cover things up. Although her killing intent had weakened, that didn’t mean her idea had vanished entirely.

The woman’s face remained composed, and her gaze showed no change. Clearly, she didn’t recognize Carson’s name.

"Human Immortal?"

Carson answered candidly, "Middle Stage Human Immortal."

After a moment of thought, Carson added, "I was here practicing cultivation to heal my wounds. Fellow Daoist, you hid here to avoid the demonic beast, and our meeting here is purely coincidental. While the situation is indeed a bit awkward, I didn’t look more than necessary. Furthermore, I have no knowledge of your identity, and I promise not to disclose this matter. So, Fellow Daoist, there’s no need to worry..."
