Chapter 127: Chapter 127: The Arrogant Second Young Master of the Woolery Family_1

Carson Flores lay on his back in the hole on the roof of the car, slowly exhaling.

"That was some hit!"

It almost knocked the wind out of him.

Looking up, Carson saw two men at the balcony from where Leaf Wen had jumped. One was Uriah Reid, Leaf Wen’s boyfriend, who was as pale as a ghost, looking utterly terrified. Beside him stood a man in his late twenties, shirtless with a cigarette in his mouth, looking relaxed and even a bit regretful.

Instantly, Carson recognized him, he must be the Woolery Family’s second son.

During the dinner, the Woolery Family’s second son had taken a fancy to Leaf Wen, openly flirting with her in front of Uriah Reid, even touching her leg. Enraged, Leaf Wen had left.

Whatever promises the Woolery Family’s second son had made to Uriah Reid, Uriah found Leaf Wen and once again delivered her back into the hands of the second son, allowing his own girlfriend to be humiliated by him.

Perhaps already humiliated, or on the verge of it, Leaf Wen, refusing to endure such disgrace, took the leap.

This Uriah Reid was truly a scumbag!

Carson shifted his gaze back and glanced at Leaf Wen in his arms, his face turning slightly red.

The bathrobe that Leaf Wen had been wrapped in was long gone, and now she lay naked in his arms.

"Don’t cry, I’m fine, I won’t die," he reassured.

Samantha Tate wiped away her tears and exclaimed with joy, "Really, are you alright? You scared me to death!"

Carson grunted, "Call an ambulance. Leaf Wen has no clothes; go to the hotel and get some large towels."

"Okay!"

Now that Samantha saw Carson was alive, she quickly calmed down, calling for an ambulance while directing the nearby security to find towels.

Carson didn’t rush to stand up but instead reached out to touch the artery on Leaf Wen’s neck, then heaved a sigh of relief.

Thankfully, she wasn’t going to die.

The security quickly brought a stack of large towels. Carson asked Samantha to spread the towels on the ground. Then, climbing out of the hole, he placed Leaf Wen on them and wrapped her body with the towels, covering her nudity.

Samantha asked, "Is Wen Wen seriously hurt? Could she die?"

After examining her, Carson said, "A concussion caused by the strong impact, and a broken arm, but she should be fine."

Samantha breathed a sigh of relief and looked at Carson gratefully, "Brother, it’s all thanks to you. Otherwise, Wen Wen would surely be dead today."

Carson shook his head, "Maybe it wasn’t her time yet. We happened to be here and just happened to see her jump. To be honest, she owes her life to you too."

Samantha was stunned for a moment, her feelings complex.

She had dragged Carson here with the intention of seducing him tonight, yet they unexpectedly encountered Leaf Wen’s suicide attempt. She thought how strange fate could be.

"Wasn’t Wen Wen supposed to be at home? How come she’s here?"

Carson’s eyes grew cold, "There were two men in the room, one was her boyfriend Uriah Reid, the other I don’t know, but it should be Ronin Woolery from the Woolery Family."

Samantha instantly understood and hissed angrily, "Is he even human, delivering his own girlfriend into another man’s bed?"

Carson was about to reply when his eyes suddenly darted towards the hotel entrance.

"They’re here."

Samantha turned and saw Ronin Woolery and Uriah Reid emerging from the hotel. Following them was a silver-haired old man in his sixties, his face expressionless and his eyes cold.

Samantha stood up, pointed at Uriah Reid, and cursed, "Uriah Reid, you beast! To curry favor with the powerful, you even betrayed your girlfriend of four years. You’re utter trash!"

Uriah Reid’s face turned awkward, and he dared not make a sound.

He didn’t dare come down in the first place; it was Ronin who insisted on coming down, and he had no choice but to accompany him.

With things as they were, he had to cling even tighter to Ronin’s coattails.

Ronin’s gaze fell on Samantha’s beautiful face, traveling slowly downwards, his eyes greedy and unashamed, as if Samantha was undressed before him.

"It’s been a while since I’ve seen such a spirited and beautiful woman. I bet you are quite something in bed," he remarked.

Samantha snapped, "Ronin, you commit all sorts of misdeeds under the power of your family. Aren’t you afraid of being struck by lightning?"

Ronin chuckled, "You’re Adan Gilliam’s daughter, right? Full of spirit, I like that."

Samantha’s face changed, panic rising within her, "What do you intend to do?"

Ronin smiled, "Nothing much. I just think you’re pretty and I’d like to have a good talk about life with you. I’m sure your father would agree."

Samantha’s face drained of color. She was acutely aware of the Woolery Family’s tremendous influence in Polgel. Gilliam Real Estate had some fame, but the Woolery Family could destroy it with a single word, and even play her family to death!

Ronin glanced at the slight rise and fall of Leaf Wen’s chest, a look of regret on his face, "To survive such a fall from that height, she’s really one lucky girl. Seems like you have some skills, kid. Well, I, Ronin Woolery, always appreciate and value talent. You work for me as a bodyguard, I’ll spare these two girls any further trouble, and I won’t bother them again. Plus, I’ll give you an annual salary of five million..."
