Chapter 1099: Chapter 1099: Will I Become a Burden to You?

Dongling.

Carson Flores followed the coordinates and found the Fallen Land of White Stone Mountain Cave Heaven, a vast, deserted Gobi desert.

"Brother Chen!"

Lilly Compton had been waiting for Carson Flores; she waved excitedly from a distance and then ran over to him.

As she reached Carson Flores, Lilly’s cheeks flushed red, as if she wanted to rush into his arms but then abruptly stopped herself.

Carson Flores smiled as he looked her over; Lilly was wearing loose sportswear and sneakers, tall and confident.

She was even more beautiful than he remembered.

It wasn’t her appearance that had changed but her aura.

Previously, she was nervous and reserved, always slightly cautious. Now, she was confident and open, like a fully bloomed rose.

Seeing her hesitant yet longing to embrace, Carson subconsciously recalled their last farewell, which had ended in a hug.

Carson extended his hand, smiling, "Long time no see, and you’ve become more beautiful."

Lilly’s anxious heart relaxed at his words, and she extended her arms to embrace Carson.

Carson patted Lilly’s back and then gently released her, smiling, "What’s your power level now?"

Lilly’s cheeks turned a slight shade of red, but she felt inexplicably pleased.

The hug wasn’t romantic, yet it signified that after years, Carson Flores was still the same person.

He hadn’t changed.

"Innate Peak."

Carson praised her, "Not bad, that’s a rapid improvement."

Lilly pursed her lips and smiled, "I’ve hit a bottleneck—I can’t advance further, and the Spiritual Energy at the places I’ve found can’t support my progression."

Carson replied, "So you planned to explore White Stone Mountain Cave Heaven and try your luck?"

Lilly answered, "Not exactly. I wouldn’t dare compete with those cultivators from the Blessed Land of Cave Heavens. I was just thinking, with so many cultivators here, if I’m lucky, maybe I’ll get a chance to enter the Blessed Land of Cave Heavens."

Carson laughed, "Don’t worry, just follow me later; I’ll take you to soar."

Lilly’s eyes lit up, "Really?"

Carson nodded, "Really. I came back to visit family, intending to bring a few people to the Blessed Land of Cave Heavens. I promised before that once I was able, I would come back to take everyone with me. I need to keep that promise, don’t I?"

Lilly excitedly asked, "If I go with you, will I be a burden?"

Carson shook his head, "No, but once you go, you might not be able to return. You need to consider that carefully."

Lilly smiled, "Apart from Dean Li, I don’t have any family. Since you cured Dean Li’s illness, I don’t have to worry about him. I don’t have much to consider."

Carson nodded, "Alright, after this exploration, you can come with me."

As Carson had said, he had previously made a promise, and he must fulfill it; otherwise, the matter would remain unresolved and could potentially become a Heart Demon, causing trouble during critical moments.

After this return, there would be no more concerns or ties in the Mortal Realm.

"What’s the situation now?"

Lilly shrugged, "A ton of people are blocked at the entrance of the cave heaven, a Barrier obstructs the path, and each cultivator acts arrogantly, yet none can break the Barrier, each making excuses..."

Carson chuckled, "What excuses are they making?"

Lilly laughed, "Mainly that the Spiritual Energy in the Mortal Realm is too weak for them to use their more powerful moves, so they can’t break the Barrier..."

Carson nodded, "They do have a point there. Let’s go and see."

"I’ll take you there."

Lilly added after a moment, "They’re quite domineering, not letting us get close; we can only watch from a distance..."

A cold glint flashed in Carson’s eyes; it was those from the Eastern Peak Sanctuary of the Sacred Mountain that had crippled Leah Frost’s legs using this rationale.

"Don’t worry, I’ll take you there."

Carson wasn’t concerned, no matter who came. In the Mortal Realm where Spiritual Energy was sparse, with his physical prowess, he would be invincible.

Forget Foundation Establishment or Golden Core; even a master of Hollow Void, in the Mortal Realm, would only face defeat against Carson.

Lilly led Carson for a while until they saw many tents populated with various people who gathered around a large pit shaped like a giant funnel, peering down.

"The fallen White Stone Mountain Cave Heaven is right below. It’s said that the clues were found in the cave heaven of Liangchang Mountain..."

Carson didn’t hurry down but casually asked, "What were the exploration results for Liangchang Mountain Cave Heaven?"

Lilly replied, "Not many valuable discoveries. According to the investigation, all residents had left before the collapse of the cave heaven. Naturally, all valuable items were taken with them. Instead, they left a lot of undying creatures like bats. Exploring Liangchang Mountain Cave Heaven back then resulted in many deaths, and it took great effort to eradicate them completely..."

Lilly peered down, "Everyone is hoping to discover something here—unfortunately, once people from the Blessed Land of Cave Heavens arrived..."
