Chapter 1098: Chapter 1098: Not Everyone Wishes to Pursue Immortal Cultivation
Carson Flores’s eyes suddenly widened.
A Cave Heaven slashed down by a sword?
Who could cut through a world passage with a single sword strike, causing this Cave Heaven to fall to the Mortal Realm?
Immortal!
Only an Immortal could possess such terrifying strength!
Carson Flores’s interest was piqued, as he had originally returned with the intention of visiting relatives, but now it seemed he had discovered a new world.
"Have the Cultivators from the Blessed Land of Cave Heavens arrived?"
"Yes, a lot of them have come, and now they’re all trying to figure out how to break the Barrier inside."
A lot?
These Sects sure had well-informed channels of information and kept it well under wraps too. Carson Flores hadn’t heard a whisper about this in the Barbarian Wilderness.
But thinking about it, the line of Nutwood Mountain had only a few people, and they were often not at home, so it seemed fairly normal to be unaware of some external news.
Carson Flores was actually less interested in exploring the ruins of a fallen Cave Heaven, which was probably just a Sect ruin with perhaps some magical treasures, Cultivation Techniques, and such. He didn’t lack for those. What he was intrigued by was that sword strike which had slashed down the Cave Heaven!
Why would an Immortal need to make that strike?
What benefit would there be in slashing down a Cave Heaven?
Did the people of White Stone Mountain Cave Heaven offend an Immortal, leading to the Cave Heaven being destroyed by a single sword strike, wiping out both the people and their Sect?
Or was there a secret within White Stone Mountain Cave Heaven that the Immortal did not want revealed, so they destroyed the Cave Heaven with a single strike, causing it to sink into the Mortal Realm, never to be heard from again?
"Let me check your leg first."
"Alright!"
After a thorough inspection, Carson Flores heaved a sigh of relief and smiled, "If we were in the Mortal Realm, it would be just like Samantha Tate, beyond saving. But since your leg is here in the Barbarian Wilderness, it can be completely healed, although you’ll have to endure some hardship."
Lydia Howell’s eyes lit up, and she asked excitedly, "Can it really be done?"
She appeared strong and nonchalant, as if she didn’t care but who would actually want to be a crippled person confined to a wheelchair all day?
Carson Flores replied with a smile, "Of course it’s true. Would I lie to you?"
Lydia Howell laughed, "Then it’s settled. I’ll go with you to the Barbarian Wilderness. It’s boring to stay here anyway."
Carson Flores nodded, "Alright."
From what Carson Flores estimated, Lydia Howell was a gifted Cultivator who loved to stir things up, venture forth, and she was not satisfied with mediocrity, so she definitely would be willing to go to the Barbarian Wilderness.
Lydia Howell had once mentioned the concept of "hugging the big thigh" and now, with this opportunity, she definitely would be willing.
Although Grandpa and Grandma were quite old, they might not be willing to go.
After all, they had a happy life here surrounded by their grandchildren and were used to it. If they really went to the Barbarian Wilderness, they would be strangers in a new land with all their life habits overturned. Even if they could live much longer, it seemed very unlikely they would feel happier.
As for the rest of the extended family like Uncles, with their weak cultivation, they might not fare as well as they did now.
In terms of ordinary life and comfort, the Mortal Realm was much more pleasant than the Barbarian Wilderness.
Carson Flores respected whatever choices they would make thereafter.
"Where have the ruins of White Stone Mountain Cave Heaven fallen? I’ll go have a look later."
Leah Frost responded, "They’re in Dongling. I’ll send you the location later."
"Alright!"
Uncle’s family and Second Uncle’s family had all come. While everybody was gathered, Carson Flores talked about going to the Barbarian Wilderness.
As Carson Flores had expected, only Leah Frost and Lydia Howell stated their willingness to go; the others all had various concerns and reluctance, eventually choosing to give up.
Carson Flores didn’t try to persuade anyone. He left behind a lot of elixirs for everyone, some to assist with cultivation and increase strength, others to fortify the body and improve physical constitution; in short, to enable them to become stronger, healthier, and live longer.
With such a large supply of elixirs, Dawson Frost and his wife could easily live another forty or fifty years without any problems, and for others like Adriel Frost, advancing to the Innate Peak was definitely manageable, cementing his position as the next Family Head of the Frost Family.
The batch of elixirs prepared by Carson Flores would ensure Dawson Frost’s lineage a very good future.
As for the others in the Frost Family?
Heh.
They were none of Carson Flores’s business!
At night, lying in bed, Carson Flores dialed Lilly Compton’s number.
Lilly Compton had previously acquired the Cultivation Technique and had traveled far and wide looking for places rich in Spiritual Energy. Carson Flores wondered how she was doing after several years.
The call connected.
Lilly Compton’s voice came through, laced with disbelief and caution, "Brother Chen?"
Carson Flores replied with a smile, "It’s me."
"Ah!"
Excited shrieks resonated from the phone, "It’s really you! Brother Chen, you’re back!"
"Yes," Carson Flores replied with a smile, "I’ve come back to visit relatives with my mother."
"You found your parents, ah, that’s great!"
Lilly Compton’s voice was full of genuine happiness, "Where are you now?"
"Xijing. What about you, where are you?"
Lilly Compton answered, "I’m in Dongling. There’s a lot of Cultivators exploring the fallen White Stone Mountain Cave Heaven. I’m watching the excitement and seeing if there’s a chance to sneak into any Blessed Land of Cave Heavens."
Huh, what a coincidence that she was also there.
"That’s a coincidence. I just heard about that and was planning to come take a look. What’s the situation over there?"
Lilly Compton replied, "There’s a Barrier blocking everyone’s path. They’re all trying to find a way through, but from what I see, everyone seems a bit at a loss..."
