Chapter 1063: Chapter 1063: I Didn’t Expect It’s Really You, Demon Race Holy Maiden!
Lilianna Norman spoke easily, but Carson knew that before she came, she must have struggled internally for a long time; after all, coming here was a risk to her life, a slight mishap could truly end in death.
Warmth surged in Carson’s heart; this woman, to see him, disregarded even her own life!
Carson looked down and saw his body covered with a large towel, and under the towel, he felt he was wearing nothing; his skin was directly in contact with the towel.
Carson hesitated for a moment before asking, "Who treated my wound?"
Lilianna’s cheeks flushed red, fortunately, the cave was dimly lit, and she wore a veil over her face, so she wasn’t afraid of Carson seeing her blush.
"Me."
Carson’s mouth involuntarily fell open a little wider, wanting to say something, but not knowing how to start, finally managing only to say, "Thank you."
Lilianna simply hummed, changing the subject, "How do you feel?"
Carson moved his neck a little, "Almost rusty, that last bolt of Heavenly Tribulation was too fierce, it nearly knocked the breath out of me. Relying on the last bit of consciousness, I managed to complete the border crossing, then couldn’t hold on any longer and passed out..."
Lilianna nodded, "That’s good... congratulations on entering Divinity Transformation."
Carson laughed, "At least it wasn’t all for nothing."
Lilianna, curious, asked, "Black Profound Stone Essence Bead?"
Carson nodded, "Right, they were schemed against by the Skeleton Bandit Group and Arhat Bandit Group; I saved them, and then they gave the Essence Bead to me."
Lilianna’s eyes shone with a smile, "You finally waited for your chance."
Carson laughed, "Although they are bandits, they’re all decent people. I couldn’t bring myself to harm them and snatch their stuff."
Lilianna hummed, about to continue the conversation when footsteps were heard from the entrance.
Kellan Gentry and Jorge Gross walked in side by side, with Kellan laughing, "Awake now?"
Carson nodded, "Yes, how long was I unconscious?"
"Not long, just three days."
Kellan said with a laugh, "Right after you fainted, your wife came over. She’s been taking care of you these days."
Carson grinned, "I’ve caused everyone trouble."
Jorge said with a laugh, "What trouble? We’re all here healing too. We’re all in the same boat. How do you feel now?"
Carson tried to get up but stopped; he was still without clothes.
"I’m fine now, any plans coming up?"
Kellan laughed, "Good to hear. You guys chat for a bit more, we’ll talk later."
After Kellan and Jorge left, Carson took out clothes from the Space Ring. Lilianna silently turned her back but didn’t leave.
After all, in the role of Carson’s wife, if she had to leave the cave every time her husband changed clothes, it would raise suspicion, wouldn’t it?
The slight sound of clothing rustled behind her, and Lilianna’s ears turned slightly red.
"All done."
Carson said, then asked in a low voice, "Kellan didn’t recognize you?"
Lilianna quietly replied, "When I came, he was inside the cave; the light was not sufficient, and I wore a veil..."
Carson suddenly understood and thought for a bit, "I’m fine now, you should leave first. I won’t be in danger here; go back to Greown City and wait for me."
Lilianna nodded; since Carson had even saved the lives of bandit group members and was now on good terms with them, she naturally didn’t need to worry and could go back to wait for him.
Although she didn’t really want to go back and be alone, her identity was sensitive. If Kellan recognized her, it might cause problems, and besides, it wasn’t convenient for her, a woman, to be with a bunch of men.
"Let’s go, I’ll walk you out."
The two walked out of the cave to find that Kellan and Jorge were not inside, so they headed out together.
Kellan and Jorge were sitting outside the cave on a chair when they noticed the two coming out. They looked back, surveyed them, and laughed, "Looking good! The commotion of your level advancement was quite frightening; I imagine your strength has increased a lot."
Carson laughed, "I was just lucky; I almost didn’t make it through."
Kellan pointed to the empty chair opposite, "Have a seat."
Carson didn’t sit down but smiled, "I’ve got something for my wife to do, so I need to see her off first."
Kellan looked surprised, "Leaving already?"
Carson nodded, "Yes, it’s rather urgent."
Kellan didn’t mind and simply said, "Alright."
Carson breathed a sigh of relief and turned his head, "Let’s go, I’ll take you."
Lilianna nodded, turned her head, and was about to leap into the air, when suddenly a gust of wind blew through the mountain pass. The wind lifted the veil on Lilianna’ face, exposing most of her face.
Kellan, who had been watching the two leave, saw this and his eyes widened abruptly.
"Wait!"
Carson’s heart skipped a beat; he also saw Lilianna’s veil fly up.
Damn, Kellan has seen Lilianna’s face.
Kellan stood up, his gaze becoming exceptionally sharp.
"I felt there was something familiar about you, but I didn’t give it much thought, yet I never expected it to actually be you, the Demon Race Holy Maiden Lilianna Norman!"
The surrounding bandit group members were all shocked, their gazes unanimously turning towards her.
Conner’s wife is the Demon Race Holy Maiden Violeta Herrera?
