Chapter 1002: Chapter 1002: Little Brother, Your Luck Is Really Tragic
On the Flying Boat, there were many Human Cultivators, but each cultivator had thick iron chains tied to their wrists, flickering with runes, clearly indicating they were Rune Shackles.
The ones driving them were not Cultivators, but the Demon Race!
There were tiger-like creatures as fierce as elephants, golden centipedes that covered the whole body, and giant pythons with a single horn...
At the bow of the boat stood three middle-aged men and women: two robust men, one with a mane around his neck and the other sporting a pair of shiny black horns, while the woman was clothed in bright red, with a feather of five colors tucked into her hair.
Transformative Great Demons!
Carson’s heart sank. Just as he was preparing to flee, the man with the mane chuckled and said, "It’s rare to come across Human Cultivators here, what a curious sight!"
The woman in red laughed, "Isn’t that just perfect? The mining camp is desperately short-staffed. Delivered labor is not to be refused, especially when it’s free."
The man with horns stretched out his hand, and a Sky-covering Giant Hand instantly enveloped all of Carson’s escape routes.
"Kid, you’re really out of luck bumping into us, come here," he said.
The conversation between the three people fell on Carson’s ears. Originally prepared to desperately run, he gave up on the idea.
Did this tone imply that this was the territory of the Demon Race?
Near the Central Divine Continent in Easty Prefecture?
Or even the further Eastern Emperor Province?
Feeling that the arm on his shoulder was still there, Carson felt somewhat assured.
Hadn’t he come here to look for information about his father?
This could be an opportunity, right?
He had come all this way, after all.
Beside him, he had Cristopher Hopkins’s hand, a potent weapon, and he had also reinterpreted the Ground Shrinking Technique. If things got real, he could always run away again.
Carson didn’t resist and even concealed his aura to appear more like an ordinary Nascent Soul Cultivator.
Carson was captured without any suspense and then thrown onto the deck.
Feigning terror, Carson inquired, "Who are you, and where is this?"
The woman in red smiled as she sized Carson up, "A Nascent Soul daring to come to Easty Prefecture, quite the courage."
Easty Prefecture!
The Valley of Death was situated in the Eastern Emperor Province, Easty Prefecture was situated above it, which meant that three months ago, the Array Plate had transported him and others directly across an entire province.
Across one province - that’s quite a considerable distance. With Cultivators’ Flying Boats at full speed, it would take at least a month, if not two to three months.
Easty Prefecture and the region to its northeast were vast. These two provinces were only slightly smaller than the Central Divine Continent and ranked second and third in size among the Seven Provinces.
Carson’s expression soured: "I got lost, flew in the wrong direction. Can you three let me go?"
The red-clothed woman’s eyes crinkled with laughter, "This little brother is so innocent and cute, he even wants us to let him go, haha..."
The man with the mane and the horned man both showed smiles on their faces, clearly mocking Carson’s naivety.
Carson got ready to flee at any moment, should they attempt to seize his belongings, but these people clearly didn’t consider a Nascent Soul like him worth their attention, nor did they think he’d have anything of value.
"Clang!"
A set of shackles fell in front of Carson. The man with horns spoke indifferently, "Put them on yourself and squat over there. Seeing as we’re short on hands, we’ll spare your life. But if you’re ungrateful, if you try to escape or do anything else, I wouldn’t mind twisting off your neck."
Carson examined the shackles. These Rune Shackles could suppress the flow of Spiritual Energy in a person, but clearly, they couldn’t restrain someone with an iron physique like Carson.
After being tempered with the True Dragon’s Blood, even without using Spiritual Energy, snapping such shackles effortlessly was child’s play for him.
Carson swiftly put the shackles on himself and then squatted among the crowd to the side.
The three Great Demons obviously didn’t take Carson seriously. A Nascent Soul that could be snuffed out with a flick, now that he’d run into them, might as well haul him off to the mines. Why bother paying him any further attention?
A bearded man shifted to the side to give Carson some space, looking at him with sympathy in his eyes.
"Young brother, you sure are unlucky. What brought you flying up here, asking for directions?"
Carson gave a wry smile, "Yeah, I flew for a long time without seeing a soul. When I finally spotted a Flying Boat, I hurried over to ask for directions, but who knew it would end up like this."
The bearded man sighed, "You’re quite unfortunate."
Carson glanced over to see that the three Great Demons were happily chatting, seemingly unconcerned with the Cultivators talking among themselves. Moreover, he noticed that many of the Cultivators wore Void Rings which apparently had not been confiscated.
"I am indeed unfortunate. Big brother, where is this ship heading? I heard them mention mining; what’s that about?" Carson asked.
The bearded man’s face grew dark: "Easty Prefecture, Eternal Mine Original. You didn’t know?"
Carson shook his head, "Big brother, I honestly don’t know. Can you tell me about it?"
In a hushed tone, the bearded man explained, "Eternal Mine Original is located in Easty Prefecture — one of the Six Extreme Lands of the Savage Boundary..."
