The nobles stared at the queen while they were being dragged out by the knights, seeing that there was no way they will be able to get out of this situation anymore, one of the nobles burst out in scolding as he stared at Bree, " You will definitely face the consequences of your actions! Do you think that you will be fine after kicking us out? You will definitely face the consequences of your actions in the future. We were the trusted aide of prince Leon, he will never let you get away with this! All hail, Prince Leon!"

Once the nobles started to chant Prince Leon’s names, Bree raised her hand to stop Yakov and Blaise who were looking like they wanted to kill the nobles who were trying to go against Bree. But they were stopped when Bree raised her hand and stopped their actions of attacking the nobles, even though they were sinners, they could not hurt them with their own powers, that was the law of the Empire.

Even as sinners, they had the right to safeguard their lives till their punishment.

" I do not see the point of your screaming," Bree said once they were done with their chants. She turned to look at the nobles and smiled with a pair of glittering eyes as she took a step closer to the group of tied nobles. " Even if I am going to face the consequences of my actions, I believe that you all won’t be here to see it. The future that I will build, the one that is ahead of me is not for sinners like you to decide for you will not be here when I build the future of this empire."

She paused as a derisive smile came over her lips. " As for your prince Leon, I believe that if I could take him down once then I will be able to take him down again as well, even if he was to raise from the dead."

" Drag them away," she said this time even louder than before such that no one will be able to contradict her ever again. The knights all bowed and this time they started to drag the nobles even more harshly than they were before causing the nobles to scream all sorts of painful shrieks and curses.

As they were dragged away, Bree felt her legs go limp.

Both Blaise and Yakov rushed towards Bree who was falling on the floor, their arms shot out as they both caught hold of Bree by her waist before pulling her up straight. Yakov looked at Bree whose complexion has suddenly worsened and asked in concern, " Your majesty are you okay? You are not looking well."

" Was it because of those nobles? I am surely going to teach them a lesson!" When Blaise saw that his wife was looking a bit tired and sick, he was rather upset. These days he could see how hard Bree was working, she has given up on her food and sleeping because she wanted to make sure that she will not be schemed against by anyone. Even though they brought food from the town, they could not buy much lest the Duke started to suspect them which was why Bree started to eat lesser than she usually did, her jaw that was already sharper but got another degree sharper because of the starvation she had to go through because of the Duke.

And yet they were cursing her even after performing all types of atrocious crimes? How dare they!

" I am fine just feeling a bit weak," Bree pushed herself off the two of them and nursed her forehead as she looked down at her hand that was covered with blood. When she found out that the Duke has been killing young children no matter what their kind was, she was already enraged but her anger seemed to have fuelled the strength that belonged to the dragon queen and her beast, and before she knew it she already raised her hand to kill the Duke.

Yakov examined her facial expressions, he saw how her majesty was looking weaker than usual and then asked in a soft voice, " Were you startled by the blood your majesty?" He asked seeing that Bree was looking a bit sick after looking at her hand that was covered by the blood.

" No," she replied she looked down at her hand before raising her head and looking at him with a glittering pair of eyes. " In fact, I feel rather rejuvenated." She did not know that something like this existed within her but when she worked for her company there were times when she wished she could snap the necks of her seniors because of the amount of work they gave her every single day and even tried to push their work on her.

But because of the laws and her shy nature, she never fought back, this was the first time she had the right to punish someone who has done something wrong to her and those who were around her. And she has made use of this opportunity to take her anger out on Duke Cilantro, while she killed him, she was thinking of her seniors who bullied her when she couldn’t fight back and honestly, she felt more than happy when she looked at the blood on her hand because this blood belonged to someone who deserved to die.

If anything it was thrilling.

Yakov noticed that she was fine and stopped asking, he was worried that the soul that was occupying the body of the Queen was not strong enough to withstand the sight of blood but now that he was looking at her, he realised that any soul that takes over the body of the Queen would not be weak, they have to has a cruel streak about them or else they will not be able to survive standing in the place of the Dragon Queen.

And this girl most probably had multiple cruel streaks beneath her surface that she was yet to find.
