Chapter 237: Last words

" Isn’t this amazing?" Bree asked as she came to stand in front of the man who was speaking against the Duke just now. " You all have no idea what is going on but from this list, one can see that you all have purchased slaves and rare creatures to breed. But now you all are saying that you have no idea, so where did these signatures come from?" She snapped her fingers and one of the knights came to stand beside her and then picked up one of the copies of the signature and handed it to her.

" Count Bale, Viscount Cadre, Lady Salvia ...and on and on the list goes." Bree clicked her tongue. " Look at all this, the smell of the corruption is so strong here that I am sure that I will get nauseous and on top of that ..." she unleashed a part of her strength and burned the documents in her hand with her fiery blaze as she eyed the nobles. "Those slaves and rare creatures...they are all dead aren’t? Ah, just the very thought makes me want to burn you all very slowly."

As she finished speaking, the document that she has burned turned into ashes and fell on the floor. " All of this was happening right in front of your eyes and yet you all either dabbled your hands in the dirty deals or turned a blind eye to it. How dare you say that you had no idea what was going on?"

She raised her foot and smashed the sharp edge of her heel at the back of the palm of the Count who screamed in pain as the heel pierced his palm from the back.

Seeing the Queen show her cruel side all the nobles flinched as they looked at the Queen who had her heel pressed in the bloody palm of the Count who had his head lowered as he screamed in pain.

" Does this feel painful to you?" Bree asked quietly as she looked at the Count who was writhing in pain. " Have you ever thought about all those women, children and rare creatures you have caught and forced into slavery? Whom you have killed and tortured? No, this pain can’t even amount to what they have suffered under you people. This is a simple wound at least you all are still alive but the same could not be said for those who have died already."

There was no democratic government in this era, those who ruled the people from the beginning would continue to pass their titles to their kids, no matter how and what kind of individual that person was, the people who did not have any other option will have to agree with the leaders who were given to them.

If they were fortunate then they will get an honest and orderly leader but if they are unfortunate which happened in the majority of cases, they will have to suffer with their heads lowered. Of course, these people could have given the people a decent life but they were so used to ignoring the life of those who were of no importance to them.

For them to do something like this, they deserved to be killed and in the most painful way.

"You have forged documents, killed rare creatures and even supported the Duke in his dirty deals by hiding it from the imperial family. If I start counting then I will have to take another six months to count them completely ..." Bree stared at the nobles who were kneeling in front of her.

" Your majesty, please have mercy on us!" The count whose palm was pierced still continued to plead but before he could say anything, his entire body was covered with flames. As soon as the flames covered his body, the count let out a bloody roar but even though he screamed with pain nothing happened and the fire never died down.

Seeing that the Queen actually killed the count and that too so ruthlessly, they started to scramble away from the Queen but before they could run away, they were subdued by the knights who held them in place.

" Have mercy on you all?" Bree muttered in a breathy voice as she walked after the nobles who were running for their lives. " Didn’t the rare creatures and women you all dragged into slavery say the same thing? Did those farmers and merchants not say the same thing when you morphed the documents and asked them astronomical amount ?"

" This is something that you all have to pay for."

The nobles soon realised that they will not be able to run away which was why they all turned to look at Bree after losing their mind. " This is unfair! So what if we killed them? What worth were they anyway?" A noble shouted fiercely as he looked at Bree with a panicked look in his eyes. " They are all nothing but useless for the imperial family and we are the nobles! And did the Queen not kill a rare creature as well."

" Are you going to question your queen now?" Bree smirked as she turned to look at the maid who was standing behind the rare creatures and said, " Bloom if you please."

The maid who was behind the rare creatures lowered her head and then drank the potion that was in her hand, Blaise already knew that the nobles will bring this matter up which was why he prepared the potion ahead of time.

Once the maid drank the potion, her silvery hair appeared and the red hair was gone, those blue eyes were then replaced by sparkling silver eyes as she looked at the nobles whose anger soon turned into shock as they all turned to look at Bree.

The Queen...for how long was she preparing against them?

" Now is there something else that you all want to say?" Bree asked as she looked at the nobles who were looking like they have been electrocuted by her actions. " If you want to say something then go ahead, I will listen to your last words."
