" Is there something that you want to say, Duke?" Bree asked as she finished looking at the ledger that was in front of her. " Not only did you hide the fact that you have been doing corrupted activities in your territory, you even used black magic to hide all your dirty deeds?"

’It’s over,’ this was the first thing that came to the head of the Duke as he looked at Bree who was reading the true information stored in the ledgers, he could not understand how in the world the third consort broke the spell that was written in black magic.

Maybe Blaise understood what the Duke was thinking because he turned to look at him and said with a smile that was a bit too smug for the liking of the Duke, " You don’t need to think so much, I am the Lord of the magic tower which is why I always continue my study on anything that has the slightest bit of magic, which is why I have even dabbled in black magic a little and given that the spell that you have placed on the ledgers was a rather small one, it was not much work to break them."

Duke Cilantro who thought that the spell he put on the ledgers was a rather complex one: "...."

" Maybe the man was too proud of his small stunt, which is why he thought that no one would be able to break it," Yakov remarked from the side and the second he said those words, Duke Cilantro’s face turned red in embarrassment, what the man said was true. He was too confident which was why he was made a fool by the others like this.

" Your majesty, there must be some sort of mistake...I haven’t ...I have never done..." the Duke still tried to weasel his way out of the situation but Bree did not give him the chance to do so, she waved her hand and the knights who were standing at both sides of the gate that overlooked the garden, they bowed their heads politely when they saw the sign that the Queen made and then retreated out of the room.

For a second the Duke did not understand what the Queen was trying to do but as soon as this question came to his head, the guards who have walked out of the room, returned and behind them were two young children with legs of the bird instead of human feet.

When the Duke saw the Phoenix offspring appear, his expression changed instantly. His heart that was already thudding in his heart dropped to a pit in his stomach, he knew that something was going to happen but he did not expect something like this to happen. After all, he was the one who has made sure that no one would be able to get inside the orphanage but looks like he has been made a fool by a woman!

And her toys!

" This ..what do you mean, ...how can this happen?" The Duke spat his true thoughts as he looked at the Phoenix offspring that were walking inside the ballroom. How did these two brats were found out and even if their existence was found by the Queen how did she open the door of their prison?

Don’t tell him, his eyes zeroed on the bandages that were tied around the queen’s palm and his eyes widened, for the sake of these brats the Queen actually shed her noble blood?

" It seems that the Duke feels unjustified," Bree spoke suddenly causing the Duke to snap out of his thoughts as he looked back at her. But before he could say anything, Bree stood up from her throne and then snapped her fingers as her nails elongated into five large and fiery swords.

" I seemed to have warned you that it is a sin for a subject to lie to their ruler," said Bree as she walked down the small stairs where the chair was sitting as she looked at the man who was kneeling in front of her. " But not only did you lie to me, you actually fooled the imperial family and tried to suck off as much money as you could, on top of that instead of taking care of the true orphans you made empty buildings and then imprisoned the rare creatures in there ...if that was not enough..."

She walked down the stairs that were coming to an end and then walked over to the Duke who was now shivering. " You even forced the sisters, mothers and wives of the poor into slavery. Tell me what should I do?"

With her fingers blazing with fire she looked down at the Duke who was now sweating buckets of sweat. " Should I cut off your head that came with so many evil schemes?" She raised her hand and placed one of her elongated nails on the throat of the Duke causing the man to scream as the flesh on his throat started to burn. "Or should I cut off those hands of yours that have written so many wronged and unfaithful documents for their own people?"

" You forged the documents, used black magic and then tried to drug your Queen to hide everything? Don’t you, Duke?" Bree as she raised her hand and was ready to slash the head of the Duke but before she could take his head away the Duke lowered his head and knocked his head on the floor, his voice trembling as he shouted, " Forgive me, your majesty! Please show me some mercy, I swear I will not do this again."

"Show you mercy?" Bree smiled but that smile was nothing like a smile, she looked like an embodiment of the devil with a fire flickering left and right around her body as her dragon rushed to her surface wanting freedom such that she will be able to crush this man in front of her. " Is this not what you told my father when you were caught dabbling in black magic? You said the same thing back then but now after so many years, you seemed to have grown some wings, Duke. You tried to assassinate your ruler and even imprisoned the rare creatures who have the protection of the Imperial family."
