The ride to Duke’s Cilantro’s territory was a long one, fortunately, the magic tower had someone as talented and fussy as Blaise who came up with the idea of building a few teleportation gates. These gates were situated at a varying distance around the Empire and were built in the fashion of an old traditional gate except when someone passed through them, instead of entering another place, they will find themselves in a completely different space and dimension until they were connected to the territory they wanted to arrive at but even then for the sake of the safety of the Empire, these teleportation gates were built at a distance that was at least three days away from the Empire.

In case someone tries to magically hack into these teleportation gates of the magic tower and attack the Empire by blindsiding them, this was why the gates were located at a far away distance but that also meant certain troubles on the part of those who wanted to travel to a territory that was at least ten to twenty days distance even with the thunder cloud horses.

" I will miss you, your majesty," taking the lead Ahmar bowed to Bree before taking her hand and planting a chaste kiss on the back of her hand. If possible he would have loved to hug her goodbye but he knew that she wouldn’t be comfortable with that—— though he didn’t know what happened with Bree all of a sudden that caused her to become so reserved and shy, he was willing to go along with her pace given that she was a lot better than before. In his view as long as the woman in front of him was his mate then he didn’t care about anything else and would be willing to do anything to please her until she was willing to submit to him.

He straightened up just in time for Bree to nod at him, he wanted to say something but then he was kicked out to one side Blaise who held Bree’s arms and started to bid goodbye with a sobbing voice, " I don’t know when you are going to return home to me your majesty but I will wait for your return patiently. I promise to take care of the magic tower properly while you are gone."

" You talk like I am going to leave for three months, I am going to be back in just a few weeks at most," said Bree while being held in a bone-crushing grip, she was sure that if not for her being a dragon shifter her bones would have cracked. So, when Cian pushed Blaise to a side she heaved a sigh of relief—- finally, she was free of that deathly grip.

Ahmar looked at Blaise being tossed to a side and sneered. " Heh, Karma sure bit you very quickly."

Blaise turned to look at Ahmar with a soft smile but then again his eyes were blazing as he said, " Try saying that again before something else bites you in the ass," while he said that he licked his sharp fangs with his tongue. He was the proud heir of a lion shifter family will he be scared of a small leech? Heh.

" I will love to suck you dry and then use your corpse as fuel for my fireplace."

" And I will love to turn you into a loach and roast you into a nice, hot meal."

" I ..."

" That’s enough," Yakov listened to their argument for a short while before he snapped sharply looking at the two stubborn men in front of him. " Is this the time or place for you to say such a thing aren’t you afraid of showing the servants your disgraceful appearances? As the second and third consorts, you are supposed to be responsible, elegant and respectful towards each other even if it is only an act. Your wife is going away from the palace how can you two talk about such bloody things in front of her when she is on the point of departing for a journey? Can’t you two be a bit tactful and use that little teaspoon of common sense that you have in your body?"

Neither Ahmar nor Blaise was a match for Yakov’s sharp tongue, the man had such an elegant tone that he might as well be cursing them to die and it will look like he was simply asking them about something.

Cian and Bree, of course, heard what was happening between the three of them but neither of them spoke anything, instead, Cian took out a small seashell from his robe and handed it to Bree. She was surprised upon receiving such a gift when Cian spoke, " Its a tradition in Bellion when someone is going on a long journey we give them a seashell with the hope that they will return safe and sound just like a seashell that will return home safely just like a shell on the shore."

Bree suddenly felt a subtle warmth flood in her heart, when she was young ... her mother only cared about her brother, and her father who believed that his son was the future of their family was even more partial to her brother, even when he was leaving to buy a few things or join into a study group, her parents would look at him as if they were losing a very important part of their life but when it came to her —— they never even asked where she was going.

So, this was the first time someone was wishing her a safe journey.

" What if the shell is picked by someone from the shore?" The warm atmosphere was broken by Blaise when he opened his mouth and spewed poisonous words at once causing Cian to turn and glare at him as he snapped, " Can’t you talk a little more nicely?"

" Why? You want me to act like you? One who is one thing behind the back of the Queen and another thing in front of her?" shot back Blaise, this time Cian’s face flushed red as he said, " I am going to fight it out with you!"

" Come at me, do you think I am scared of you?"

" Enough!" Yakov shouted, his voice loud and domineering as he glared at the three men in front of him. One was more worrisome than the other, they were simply too much trouble! He breathed heavily before pinching the bridge of his nose, " Do you guys still believe that you are five years old? Can you all be any more immature than this?"

Though Ahmar was only dragged along with the two, he didn’t say anything. Compared to his authority Yakov’s authority was far more superior to the first consort though he was no longer managing the harem, he was indeed the one who was in charge of him and the other consorts so there was nothing that he could say when he was being scolded——at least not in front of the Queen.

Once the consorts turned silent, Yakov looked at Bree and said, " You can say what you want your majesty."

There was no way, Bree could say anything sappy, it was actually impossible for her to do so, she wasn’t close to the three consorts and talking about how she was going to miss them would only make it sound fake, so she decided to say what was on her mind " I will be glad if you don’t make trouble, I am not asking you all to restrain yourself but make sure that you don’t fight among yourself, Ahmar don’t target Cian’s fish, and Cian don’t offend Ahmar...Blaise please take control of your explosive potions and do not hurt anyone while I am gone because no one will clean up behind you..." she paused. " Now that I am leaving the old ministers will surely try to target you and cause trouble in the palace, make sure that you three stay away from them. Don’t give them a chance to retaliate, but that doesn’t mean that you cannot retaliate...if they try to verbally attack you make sure to have a recording gem on you all the time and collect pieces of evidence against them. I will deal with those ministers after I return, you three don’t make a move."

Though Bree didn’t leave in the book, there was indeed something about the three consorts being targeted mentioned in the story after she was gone. Because they took down the Queen and rebelled against the throne, they were severely criticised by those who were eyeing the position of the consorts for their sons—— at that time she hadn’t cared but if something like that happened when she was gone and the three of them retaliated in the same as they did in the book then she will have a lot of mess to wipe.

" We will try to be at our best behaviour your majesty," promised Ahmar with a bow as the other two followed suit, only then did Bree turn around and started to climb the stairs of the carriage but then paused in between and looked over her shoulders as she hesitatingly added, " And make sure to take good care of yourself, don’t get hurt."
