The Devil's Warrior Queen
Chapter 66: Lust At First Bite

Chapter 66: Lust At First Bite

Rama strode down the dimly lit hallway in an aimless direction, she had nowhere to go in mind, but she just didn’t want to be in Draco’s room any longer.

She would have visited Malika, but she had no idea where she was off to, so she wandered aimlessly in the halls, but her thoughts always ran off to the event that occurred in the last hour.

She couldn’t shake it off her mind, he felt different, like a berserk beast had broken loose, but it was a side of him he had always concealed beneath a mask.

A normal human would have found his bestial actions terrifying, but rather she had responded to him, she had felt allured to his wild sides which made her even more irritated and ashamed of herself.

The mere thought of being aroused by the alluring devil made her skin crawl.

She decided to shove it at the back of her mind, as much as she wanted to blame him for his erratic behaviour, she couldn’t, so instead she’d have a straightforward conversation with him and set the boundaries straight.

He had a dangerous manly appeal and charm, it was a good enough excuse, but for her it wasn’t.

She was always in full dominance of her mind and willpower, her resolve could never be shaken, but he managed to make it crumble.

She cringed at the fact that he made her vulnerable with just his touch. Maybe it was a perk that came with being a pure bred Vampire.

She decided to stop thinking about it as she shook her head hysterically. He was already cramming her thoughts lately and now, he was worsening it with another difficult situation.

She continued walking down the quiet hall, luckily, there were no Vampires on sight neither were there any maids.

She wondered where Draco was as she scrutinized the area for him, the sooner she set things straight, the better.

She would blatantly warn him never to lay hands or lips on her again, in a lewd manner of course.

She wouldn’t warn him, but she would set things straight with a boundary, hopefully, he would listen.

Even though he could be reckless and irrational at most times, the fact that he was struggling to resist the urge to touch her meant he still had some sort of composure and rational mind over himself.

She hoped he would employ that composure to listen to her. She sighed out heavily as she trod down the hallway.

She heard the creaking of a door behind her as it opened and a loud slam followed. She jerked at the abrupt sound and she frantically veered around to meet Draco.

His dark red eyes gleamed with a fathomable desire of lust flickering past it as his gaze narrowed at her, turning into slits.

Ever since his fangs pierced into her veins, he felt his mind turn haze with nothing but lust and only her body could quench the burning desire coursing through his veins. It was pure lust at first bite.

A Vampire’s bite was fathomed by the fangs piercing through the veins, thereby imprinting his fangs in the veins of his victim.

He hadn’t pierced his fangs into her veins until then when he lost total control and his demons took over.

Rama wanted to sigh in relief that she had come across him so that they could finally talk things out, but when her eyes met his, she gulped unnervingly and her feet subconsciously moved back.

It seemed as if he was still having a hard time taming whatever berserk beast had gone loose in him and at that moment, she knew every string of rationality he retained disappeared into thin air, as he looked nothing less than a feral, blood thirsty demon, but at that moment it was safe to assume lust driven demon.

Her breath came out in shaky gasps as she looked at him. His face had darkened and his menacing aura weighed heavily on him, it felt as if a cloak of darkness was slowly engulfing him, earning him a dreary disparity to his former essence.

In that moment, she would undoubtedly believe it if she was told that he was the devil himself, a lustful devil.

He was pertrifying, but at the same time alluring, which was a rather dangerous combination. But she was more pertrified than she was allured, she wanted to run but the dreading fact that he would hunt her like a predator made her freeze in her steps.

She saw his jaws tick unnervingly and his fists clutched itself in a tight ball, as his body trembled, obviously trying to resist whatever urge he was fighting.

His feet moved and she almost bolted out of sight, but instead, fear gripped her whole being like never before, knowing something really strange was wrong with him, it wasn’t just lust, but something else.

It gradually emerged from beneath the thick mask it lay as it slowly sufficed him, drowning him in its darkness. He suddenly became the embodiment of darkness itself, but the more he darkened, the more compelling he became.

Her brows creased warily. She wanted to yell for help, for Damien preferably as he was the only vampire who would apparently help her at this moment, hopefully it won’t cost his life.

"Draco..?" Her voice came out in a cracked whisper, uncertainty and confusion lingered heavily in it as she called his name, because he looked nothing like Draco even though his physical characteristics resembled his.

He didn’t reply, but as soon as she called his name, she saw him move as if her voice provoked him more. He gradually tilted his head upward to peer his gaze into hers from beneath his lashes, his face was blank and devoid of any emotion.

She saw him disappear from his position as he moved toward her in a rapid pace, but before he could reach her, she saw Zamiel appear from out of nowhere and restricted his movement by shoving him aside with brute force.

Zamiel disappeared from his position and suddenly pinned him against the wall, earning a feral growl reverberating from Draco’s lips as it echoed in the hallway.

"What happened to him?" Zamiel shot at her with a thundering voice.

She felt her heart pounding hard beneath her ribcage and she felt her body tremble uncontrollably.

"I-I.."

She found it hard to form words from her lips as she watched Draco with a shock stricken face. He was clawing through Zamiel’s abdomen like he was butchering an animal, but Zamiel didn’t flinch as he kept him pinned to the wall.

Blood dripped from the deep gashes of claw marks to form a small puddle of blood beneath them on the floor, but the wounds would heal as quickly as they were induced.

He bypassed the next attack and before Rama could process what was transpiring in that moment, objects were flying from one place to the other as they fought with inhumane speed and agility, destroying everything they came in contact with.

She could barely observe the fight properly as she couldn’t see them clearly as they moved like the wind.

Draco shoved Zamiel aside like a rag doll and his body crashed against the wall, making a hollow dent appear on it as debris of rocks fell.

"Get off of me!" Draco’s voice thundered as he gritted his teeth against each other. His chest heaved heavily like a ferocious beast about to attack, but he seemed rather composed.

His face was twisted with anger as he shit a glare at Zamiel even though he wasn’t angry at him and rather his predicament.

Zamiel sprouted up on his feet and scrutinuzed him for a moment before speaking.

"Let’s go, before you start another massacre." Zamiel said nonchalantly, but his voice was as low as a whisper.

Draco’s gaze flickered past her before it returned to Zamiel and she flinched but he didn’t seem like he was about to go berserk again even though she saw his hands tremble slightly.

He moved toward the direction of his chamber with Zamiel following behind, while she was being totally ignored.

It was obvious she wasn’t needed, not that she would follow anyway, she had enough of Draco and his untamed beast which she figured was being provoked by the poison coursing through his veins.

She sighed heavily as she placed her hand on her chest to feel her heart throbbing with such intensity, it was an intense moment after all.

She wondered what would have happened to her if Zamiel hadn’t arrived in time, but she wondered more on Zamiel’s words when he mentioned about him inducing a massacre as if he had gone berserk before.

Her head hurt from too much thinking and the events that had transpired for the day, she resorted to taking a nap till midnight when she would meet with lord Damien and gain some information from him, hopefully.

She marched to the maids quarters and proceeded to the room she was supposed to share with Malika and the other maids.

She slumped her tired body on the worn out mattress and closed her heavy eyelids. It didn’t take long before sleep greeted her.
