Chapter 308: A Beautiful Monster

Chapter 308: A Beautiful Monster

Rama’s eyelids twitched slightly as she tried to wake up, her body squirming in the soft, velvet bed. Groaning softly, she finally fluttered her eyes open as she gently sat on the bed, supporting her weight with her elbows as she leaned against the headrest.

Her eyes, accidentally darting upwards settled upon a towering figure that made her soul bounce out of her body.

She needed no announcement to reveal to her that the otherworldly man in front of her was her husband.

Looming above her bed was Draco, a creature of unparalleled beauty and malevolence. His ethereal features seemed chiseled by an otherworldly sculptor, a symphony of dark and captivating elements.

Draco’s inky long hair cascaded around him like a waterfall of shadows, framing his face with an unsettling allure. Each strand seemed to absorb the light, giving his appearance an enigmatic quality that defied the natural order. As he leaned over her, the shadows played upon his face, creating an illusion of constantly shifting expressions that danced in the dimly lit room.

His burning reddish-gold eyes, like molten embers, held an ancient wisdom and a fathomless darkness. They pierced through the veil of morning, capturing the essence of her soul with an intensity that sent shivers down her spine.

Those eyes were windows to an abyss, reflecting the centuries of torment and cunning mischief that defined his lineage. They burned with a restless fire that hinted at the infernal power coursing through his veins.

Full red lips, tempting and seductive, curled into a faint smirk that hinted at an understanding of secrets far beyond mortal comprehension.

His words, when they finally came, were laced with a honeyed venom, enticing yet treacherous "Did you sleep well, love?" His velvety voice glided over her senses like silk as a smile cupped his lips up.

Rama found herself ensnared by the allure of those lips, unable to resist the pull of his mesmerizing presence.

Draco’s glistening silvery pale skin seemed to radiate an otherworldly glow, as if he were both part of the shadows and a creature of celestial brilliance. It accentuated the contrasts in his appearance, highlighting the stark beauty that veiled the underlying danger. His skin was smooth and flawless, like a marble sculpture bathed in an eerie lunar glow, but it whispered tales of dark bargains and infernal pacts.

As she gazed upon him, she felt a strange contradiction within herself. His unmatched beauty left her dazed, a prisoner of a beauty so intense it was almost painful.

Yet, intertwined with that beauty was an aura of menace that emanated from him like a tangible force. The air around Draco crackled with an unsettling energy, an ancient power that spoke of the devil’s blood coursing through his veins.

His presence in the world seemed to defy the laws of natue, as if he were a being molded from the fabric of nightmares and dreams.

He was a beautiful monster.

The tapestries on the chamber walls seemed to shiver in response to his arrival, and the flickering candles cast dancing shadows that mimicked the swirling chaos within the lady’s mind.

Draco’s attire was a tapestry of darkness, adorned with intricate patterns that seemed to writhe and twist as if alive. A luxurious jacket, as black as the abyss, billowed around him, giving him an otherworldly silhouette. His fingers, long and delicate yet possessing a latent strength, trailed over the bed linens like a phantom’s touch, leaving a trail of subtle enchantment in their wake.

In that fleeting moment, as she lay there paralyzed by the convergence of beauty and menace, she glimpsed at the intricate single tattoo that adorned the back of Draco’s palms.

It was of an unknown language that seemed to pulse with an otherworldly power, hinting at the depths of arcane knowledge that he wielded effortlessly.

"What’s that?" She blurted out, unable to hide her curiosity.

Draco’s voice, when it finally caressed her ears, resonated with a melodic darkness that seemed to echo through the corridors of her soul "Your name, Rama."

"What language?" She asked with confident eyes despite her palpable fear and the constant thudding of her terrified and equally mesmerized heart.

"Demon language." He said.

"What are you? A Demon?" She asked, her breath hitching between the words in disbelief and a mixture of trepidation.

"Yes, I am." He replied nonchalantly. His towering figure hovering above her was rather intimidating, she felt small beneath him, she was but still, she felt too tiny like a bug about to be squashed by a giant’s foot.

"Aurora mentioned you were the devil’s son, is..is that true?" She stammered, unable to hide her perceptible fear and shock.

She swallowed as she waited for him to speak and when he opened his mouth, she subconsciously held her breath.

"Yes, but you don’t have to learn everything at once, your brain will get fried and it will be harder to remember." Draco suggested, but she was half attentive.

As she struggled to break free from the enchantment that Draco had woven, she found herself torn between the intoxication of his beauty and the chilling realization of the peril that lurked beneath.

"Breakfast is ready, you should take a bath first. I’ll be right here waiting." He spoke like a true gentleman, his golden eyes gleaming with undisclosed emotions as he smiled with his eyes.

He seemed genuinely happy and nonchalant, as if whatever tragedy and cruelty had transpired last night had never happened, in fact he was a shadow of his raging self the previous night, now he seemed calm and composed, but it didn’t justify what he did, it couldn’t make up for the pain he made her go through having to watch Dalen die and leaving Aurora’s heart shattered.

"After what you’ve done, how could you still be so casual?" Rama snapped at him as she scrambles out of bed, moving a safe distance away from him with caution in her eyes.

"It’s something you have to accept." Draco casually said.

"I don’t want to, all I want to do is leave, away from you and your monstrosity." Rama hissed.

"I quite like the new nickname, but I’m afraid you can’t leave, besides the only way to fully retrieve your memories is if you stay with me and staying with Aurora certainly won’t do that. They were never a part of your life, I was." He drawled and even though she hated to admit to it, he was right.

She could feel the palpable connection between them, although it was distant and unclear as she had no memories of him whatsoever.

Rama stood at the crossroads of her emotions, caught in a tumult of conflicting feelings that tugged at the very core of her being.

Before her stood the devil’s son, a figure from a forgotten past, her supposed mate intertwined with the threads of her existence. A choice loomed before her, to stay and unravel the mysteries that bound them, or to turn away and embrace the uncertainty of a future without the shadows of her past.

Draco a silhouette of enigma, watched her with eyes that held the weight of centuries.

Rama, however, found herself standing at the precipice of memory, staring into an abyss of forgotten moments. His presence stirred echoes of familiarity that danced at the fringes of her consciousness, yet the veil of amnesia shrouded the truth in an impenetrable mist.

Anxiety and nervousness gripped Rama’s heart as she grappled with the paradox of her emotions. The devil’s son exuded an aura that pulsed with both danger and a strange sense of belonging.

His eyes, a mesmerizing blend of burning embers and cool silver, held secrets that resonated with the echoes of her forgotten past. Yet, the amnesic fog that enveloped her mind kept those secrets just beyond her grasp, leaving her teetering on the brink of a decision that could redefine her existence.

Rama’s heart thudded in her chest as she grappled with the implications of her decision. Staying meant delving into the labyrinth of forgotten memories, a journey fraught with the uncertainty of what lay hidden in the recesses of her mind. It meant confronting the devil’s son, a figure whose past deeds and intentions remained shrouded in the veils of time.

On the other hand, leaving meant forsaking the chance to regain what was lost. It meant accepting a future devoid of the whispers of a past that clamored for recognition. The anxiety gnawed at her, the unknown a phantom that lurked in the shadows of her indecision.

Draco, sensing the turmoil within her, spoke words that resonated with a profound yearning. "We are bound, Rama, by the universe, there’s nothing anyone can do to alter our bond."

Yet, an invisible force held her back, a voice of caution that whispered tales of the dangers concealed in the shadows.

Draco’s features were etched with a vulnerability that belied his infernal lineage, waited with a patience born of eternity.

His presence, both a comfort and a challenge, beckoned Rama to confront the enigma that bound them. The choice, like a pendulum swinging between the known and the unknown, demanded resolution.

Rama felt the weight of the unseen memories pressing against the walls of her consciousness. The anxiety intensified, and nervous tremors played havoc with her resolve. The devil’s son, understanding the gravity of the moment, held her gaze with eyes that mirrored the complexity of their shared history.

In the end, the decision lay solely in Rama’s hands, to stay and unravel the mysteries of her past or to turn away and embrace the uncharted territory of a future untethered to the shadows that whispered forgotten tales.

His burning eyes continued to hold her captive, a silent invitation to dance on the precipice of forbidden knowledge and untold mysteries.

His beauty, ethereal and haunting, was a siren’s call that beckoned the brave and the foolish alike.

Rama, caught in the web of his allure, faced a choice that would shape the course of her destiny, to succumb to the enchantment or to resist the temptations that Draco, the devil’s son, so skillfully wove around her.
