The Devil's Warrior Queen -
Chapter 157: Mystic Air
Chapter 157: Mystic Air
Every word that rolled off his lips so earnestly, engraved itself to her head like an imbellible memory.
Yet again, he struck her speechless, making her body quiver with this unseen force that surged through her body like an electric wave. His endearing vow would always resonate in her head like an ancient motto.
"That was unexpected..but surprisingly lovely." She managed to say with a small voice, a smile breaking through her pale pink lips with flushed cheeks.
"For my feisty princess, I can be so much more." He teased, but a hint of seriousness hardened his eyes as he caressed her cheeks.
Her heart flustered more times than she could count, she timidly tore her gaze from his own, but his steady eyes on her made her breath hitch, he always made her nervous, he made her heart flutter like a thousand butterfly wings and her brain go numb with pleasure.
Never would she have visualized herself falling so deeply in love with the ruthless vampire king whom she had once loathed with her soul, never in her wildest imagination would she have envisioned herself reeling in the solace and warmth of his embrace.
It was all oddly intriguing, the how’s and the whys she came to fall for such a man, a man who had never felt the warmth of tender love from his parents, a man who had been broken beyond repair, created from within the origin of darkness itself.
The universe sure did work in unique ways, she thought inwardly.
The fact that the universe had made their stars crossed with the bond of eternity which burned like the flames of hell, spoke volumes on how unprecedented her fate truly was.
Leaning closer to him, the air froze with anticipation and unspoken desires glimmering with the stars. His predatory gaze almost made her lose her balance but she closed her eyes shut and pressed her lips against his.
His lips melted into hers like jelly, the taste of his sensual lips was a symphony of sweet hell and heaven. As quickly as her lips came onto his, he pulled away with firm resolve etched on his chiseled face, but then a sarcastic smirk crossed his lips.
"You wouldn’t want me to take you right here, would you?" He warned, yet his tone was flirtatious.
"Actually, it’s the perfect place and time." She said suggestively as she leaned in closer to seal her lips with his, her body was already heated with lustful cravings, but he swiftly evaded her advances as he sprouted up from his sitting position to stand.
Her face twisted with a scowl as she groaned in displeasure. She stood up after him, catching hold of his arm.
"It’s annoying when you resist, you can not keep avoiding me forever, one day you’ll just have to let go." She whispered with a seductive smile tearing through her lips as she massaged his arm suggestively.
"I’m not letting go today." He declared firmly, but still his impassive demeanour was not enough to make her give up.
"What could possibly go wrong?" She insisted with pouted lips, impatience and salacious desires cramming her mind.
To her, it was the perfect place for them to consummate the marriage, under the moonlit indigo tinged skies over the sparkly dark ocean waters, atop a cliff in the dragon’s lair. It was a mystical scenery, and would have been a perfect place for them to make love, if not for the fact he was being overprotective.
He leaned in and whispered to her ear, while wounding an arm around her waist, as he pulled her closer to himself with a graceful move "Be patient feisty wife, I’m not going anywhere."
Her skin tingled from his hot breath and she let out a stifled giggle at the sensation.
"But, I know you won’t hurt me, you’re being irrational." She argued, doe eyes pleading.
He chuckled at her insistent behaviour, the sight of the fierce warrior queen begging for his dick was truly a bewildering sight.
"I told you I’d make you beg didn’t I?" He teased with a deep, husky voice as he whispered in her ear, his snaky eyes smoldering with pride.
She bit down on her lower lip, slightly embarrassed.
"Are you doing this to make me beg?!" She exclaimed, anger flashed over her wide eyes as she shot glares at him.
"Not entirely." He said sarcastically.
"I begged already, didn’t I? It’s not my fault the universe made you my mate. Why couldn’t they give me a less stressful man?" She muttered beneath her breath with a twisted face as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"Hahaha!" He laughed heartily at her statement, his eyes glinting eerily like the crimson moon suddenly made her remember something.
"Oh, I almost forgot but I wanted to ask you something about the blood moon." She started out and his laughter abruptly stopped as he paid eager attention to her query.
"Yes?"
"The legend about the blood moon, is it related to the goddess’s imprisonment?" She queried, ears twitching in anticipation for his reply.
He turned to face the darkened skies before saying "Her imprisonment altered the course of nature, turning the moon blood red on the day I imprisoned her, so every year the moon turns red on the date of her imprisonment."
"I figured." She breathed out as she watched his hair scatter behind his back with the wind in an enthralling manner, even the disheveled state of his hair dancing with the wind was effortlessly flawless.
"It’s like a reminder of the darkness I keep contained. Also, the appearance of the blood moon weakens her, so whatever energy she tries to save is sucked out, drained of her power core and life force, she’s nothing more than a corpse of herself." He explained and she gasped in amazement.
"Have you ever rode a dragon, feisty princess?" He asked as he veered around to face her, every single movement of his was always like that of a fallen angel, ensnaring as well as tempting.
"No, but I want to ride you." She said with a crooked smile, her voice as airy and mellifluous as the midnight breeze, while her eyes glinted sharply with thirst.
His Adam’s apple bobbled up and down his firm delicious throat as he scoffed, amused by her blatant choice of words and confidence in spewing them, but beneath his facade, she could see his rationality breaking.
His siren crimson eyes dimmed with a fathomable hunger, hazed by lust but he quickly tore his gaze off her, closing his eyes for a second as he regained his composure.
"Rama." He called, his voice low and suppressed with a discernable hunger.
"Yes, my lord." She answered sweetly as she moved closer to him, wrapping her arms around his strong shoulders, her actions in a bid to provoke him more.
"Brace yourself." He said in a flat tone, making her brows furrow in confusion.
"Valak." He added stiffly.
A sarcastic smirk played on his lips as his grip around her waist tightened and then, the next moment transpired too fast for her human mind to process.
One moment they were standing atop the cliff, the next, a gust of wind whisked past them heavily and then her feet was no longer touching the ground.
She immediately realized they were falling midair in an incredibly fast pace, the heavy wind blowing over them like a tornado made her scream in fright, and her scream only intensified when she realized his wings weren’t visible as they fell.
Her heartpace quickened in dread and her breathing turned ragged with every second as they got closer to the ground.
The heavy wind made their body tumble vigorously but Draco’s firm grip on her was as unwavering. She could see a devilsih grin adorn his face as they fell.
Within a few seconds of falling, a thunderous wing flap echoed in the clouds. With an ear-splitting roar, the black dragon emerged from the inky darkness of the clouds, scales glistening like onyx, eyes aflame with fiery determination. It caught them on it’s broad back.
Cradling her in his arms, he landed on his foot atop the beast’s back with elegant prowess. Gently, he placed her down but she didn’t let go as she clutched on his arm.
"You sneaky demon! Why would you do that?!" She yelled, although her heart raced in fear, she was intoxicated by the thrill of the ride, he merely chuckled amusingly and she joined him as they enjoyed the serene sight of the night.
The dragon’s wings unfurled as it ascended into the star studded canvas of the skies, riding through the cloudy shadows as if they were transporting through dimensions and dreams.
Her eyes widened in awe at the beauty of the dark skies the higher they ascended into it, weaving her fingers through clouds and enjoying the midnight breeze whisk across her hair and body while Draco watched her with a hypnotized look as she enjoyed the scenery.
It was a night of enchanting fantasy, a night she would never forget. There was undoubtedly mystic in the air.
