The Devil's Warrior Queen
Chapter 143: Desire And Destruction

Chapter 143: Desire And Destruction

Draco stood at a crossroads of torment, locked in a fierce inner battle that threatened to consume him from the inside out. As he gazed into the depths of Rama’s eyes, he felt the searing flames of desire and danger coil within him.

His very blood ran like molten lava, setting his veins ablaze with every beat of his heart. A feverish heat pulsed through his body, causing his skin to smolder with an otherworldly intensity. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead, each drop sizzling upon contact with the air.

His eyes, once filled with an alluring darkness, were now burning embers of restraint, mirroring the torment that raged within. His jaw clenched, and his muscles quivered as he fought to contain the ravenous hunger threatening to overtake him.

His willpower was tested, as he knew that one reckless touch could unleash a primal force that could devour the very essence of his beloved mate. He stood there, trembling with an unfathomable darkness, striving to protect her from his darkness, where the line between desire and destruction blurred like the shadows in the night.

And then, in the next moment, his fearless mate marched up to him, but before he could react and move away from her, she swiftly grabbed him.

But alas she was oblivious of the dangerous primal forces she had unleashed within him with her reckless touch.

"Rama. Let go you don’t want to be this close to me." He breathed out in a low guttural voice, one that sent cold shivers running down her spine, but still she maintained her firm grip on him, relentless of letting go.

"Not until you tell me what’s wrong, you don’t look well or feel well, you’re scaring me." She said with a low voice filled with concern and fear.

The next moment transpired too quickly, like a gust of wind wheezed past them and then their positions swiftly changed. He seized her roughly by the neck and pinned her to the wall, a whimper almost escaped her lips until his burning lips came crashing on hers, it was a blend of danger and caution as his lips melted into hers with a bestial ferocity.

His elongated fangs poked her bottom lip, drawing tiny trickles of blood and the moment it leaked into his mouth, his crimson eyes sparked up with a deadly primal urge she had never encountered before.

Oddly, she felt aroused by the dark primal force of his lustful urge, ignoring the apparent change in him. She wrapped her arms around his neck as she kissed him back with the same intensity, melting her body into his, but then he abruptly pulled his lips away.

Tilting her head to the side, he swiftly dug his fangs into her neck, his sharp teeth pierced into her supple flesh with blood flowing into his mouth. His fangs sank in deeper and a wince escaped her lips at the burning pain, he was being proactive and bestial like, she could feel his string of rationality waning down with each second that passed.

"D-Draco?" She called in a stutter, her voice fading weakly.

He had gazed hungrily at her porcelain throat. His eyes burned with an infernal thirst as he sank his fangs into her tender flesh, savoring the crimson nectar that flowed like a forbidden elixir.

But as he neared the brink of her life force, a mellifluous voice, like a haunting lullaby, echoed in his ears. It was the enchanting sound of his whispered name.

His demonic grip faltered, and he withdrew from her, the taste of her blood still lingering on his lips.

In that moment, he saw the tears in her eyes, and the pain etched on her face. With great effort, he wrestled with his inner demons, fighting to regain his composure. His heart, though tainted by his infernal heritage, ached with a bond beyond love that refused to be extinguished.

Her eyelids drooped like weighted curtains, but she still forced herself to keep them open, aware of the fact that there was something wrong with Draco and an urgent desire gnawed at her skin to ease his pain, she wanted to help him so bad, but she felt helpless because she knew there was nothing she could do.

She had seen how much pain he was going through in and out to withstand hurting her, it was apparent he was fighting an inner turmoil to protect her from his ravenous demons, it made her heart bleed, she should have taken solace in his pain without her having to do anything, but she felt hurt instead, it was a bittersweet torment. His devotion to her so evident in his tormented eyes pierced her very soul.

In a tender gesture, he swept her off her feet and in the next moment, she felt herself enveloped by the embrace of the silky sheets as he laid her down, pulling the blankets to cover her. While he leaned in to tuck her into bed, she could see the guilt mirroring his crimson gaze, it made her chest tighten with an indescribable ache.

"Draco." She called softly as she caught his hand firmly, unwilling to let him slip away from her sight.

"Go to sleep love." He merely said with a straight face as he gently slipped his hand out of her own, her eyes gave in to slumber but not before she caught a blurry glimpse of his retreating figure as he exited the chamber.

Rama tossed and turned on the bed as she yawned, stretching her exhausted limbs as she woke up. Sitting up on the bed, she tilted her head to the empty space where Draco was supposed to have occupied but rather was empty.

Her brows furrowed and a cloud of darkness loomed above her head as memories of the previous night flooded her mind. As she scurried out of bed she heard a knock on the door, she knew it were the maids but she dismissed them immediately.

Her gown was ripped and she was looking disheveled, no doubt rumours would start spreading if they walked into her looking like that.

Although she was married to Draco, but she still felt slightly embarrassed if rumours were to spread about her and Draco’s intimate affairs, on the other hand, they could become tight lipped in fear of getting beheaded by the vampire king, but still she’d d rather prevent it.

She sighed drearily as she washed herself in the steamy hot tub, her limbs relaxing in the soothing water. Afterwards she dried up and rang the maids to help her dress up, at least she was in a fairly good condition now.

While they dolled her up, she couldn’t help but wonder where Draco was or where he had spent the night just to protect her from himself.

Her fingers tapped restlessly on the table as the maids dressed her up and as soon as they were finished, she immediately went out to the dining hall, thinking he was there waiting.

Hurriedly, she opened the doors leading to the dining hall but only empty seats greeted her sight.

Biting down on her lower lips, she locked her fingers anxiously as she looked around, her heart heavy with heartsickness or whatever strange feeling he stimulated in her with his absence.

Sighing heavily with disappointment, she took a seat, but she had no appetite, she felt a wave of irritation and nausea hit her, a bitter bile stuck in her throat she did not want to swallow.

She heard the door creak open behind her and with delighted eyes and a wide grin, she tilted her head back, but then her eyes narrowed and lips curled in disgust when she saw the two demons approaching her.

Picking up the silver fork, she pretentiously stabbed her food as if aiming to eat it until they took their seats uninvited, she could hear the chairs screech softly as they took their seats but she refused to look at them, their mere sights irritated her more than she already was.

Why the hell where they even still in the castle when the wedding had commenced already? She pondered angrily.

"Your highness, how have you been fairing? We came to join you for breakfast, where’s Draco?" Amon queried mindlessly.

"The wedding has ended, there’s no reason for the both of you to extend your stay here any longer." She said in a clipped tone as she maintained unresolved eyes contact with them.

She wanted nothing more than to punch that sly smirk off Onyx’s face, her black eyes were gleaming with mischievousness and knowledge she wasn’t aware of.

"We decided to stay here a bit longer, also is everything alright with Draco?" Onyx said with a sneaky drawl, a knowing smirk tugging the edge of her dark red lips up.

"Why are you worried about Draco?" Rama shot with a stern look.

"Well, last night he was feeling unlike himself and he asked me for my help..." She trailed off twirling a dark strand of her hair with one slender finger, leaving her intrusive thoughts to fill in the rest of the unsaid words hanging on her lips.

"Help for what?" Rama queried, despite her instincts warning her against asking the devious demoness, but her curiosity overwhelmed her.

"....In bed." She completed with a dark twinkle in her black eyes, her red lips splitting open to reveal perfectly white pearls.

A hard knot twisted itself painfully in her stomach and then it intensified to her chest, it felt clogged and tightened, making it hard for her to breathe, in fact her breath seized.
