Chapter 119: Wedding The Devil’s Son

A strange sensation rocked over her body, it was alluring yet terrifying, drawing her closer to his darkness yet her rationality had melted.

She would have moved back, but she was sure she would trip over and fall in her wedding dress, so she stayed still. For an unknown reason, she was raging, furious of the fact that she had being easily seduced by her enemy and now, he had sealed her to himself with the bondbite, making her his prisoner forever.

"What have you done!" She exclaimed with a loud gasp as she subconsciously felt the bite mark on her neck, she felt a spark beneath her fingertips as she did.

"I did what had to be done, it was a deal." He said in a neutral countenance.

"You forcefully bonded me to yourself, it’s..wrong!" She gasped out, her voice breaking, she felt like she was on a rollercoaster of different emotions, confusion and settlement reflected upon her.

"You can’t force a bondbite love, it’s either both are willing or it will fail to work, even if one is willing." He said, a crooked smirk curving the edge of his lips up as his crimson eyes glinted with dangerous excitement.

She gulped bitterly, because she knew he was right and the thought that he had made her willingly give herself to him like he had promised her, earned a tight knot in her stomach, the night hadn’t begun but it was already fast becoming alarming and inauspicious as she had feared it would turn out.

"Get a grip my feisty princess, the wedding is starting soon." Draco’s voice echoed in her ears, breaking her out of her short reverie.

"What?" She breathed out in disarray, last she remembered, it didn’t seem like Damien would proceed with marrying her anymore and neither would Draco let his bond mate marry someone else, so she could only ponder on what wedding he was talking about.

"We’re getting married." He broke out to her, a wicked grin flashed on his handsome face.

If it was possible, her heart would have flown out of her chest with the way it was beating rapidly against her ribcage and her eyes would have popped out of her socket, not to forget her lower mouth that was already hanging on the floor now. Not even the revelation of him being the devil’s son left her in such a shocked state as then when he announced them getting married.

With trembling hands, she inwardly smacked herself as she regained her composure, although grave shock still mirrored her jade eyes.

Eventually, the seers were right about their unnerving prophecies, but then she couldn’t help but listen to her instincts as it told her it was only the birth of the prophecy and this was the beginning of her path to damnation, not salvation.

"And if I rejected your offer?" She queried with a firm tone, one that betrayed her as her voice almost failed to be loud enough.

"It’s not an offer. You have no choice my sweet feisty princess. Also, don’t forget your dearest maid, you’re the one I’m bonded with, not her, so I won’t mind hurting her to bend you into my sweet, submissive feisty princess." He drawled with a neutral facade. His tone was calm and cool yet dark.

"You can bend me to be yours, or force me to be bound to you for all of eternity, but you can’t force love, something I’ll never feel for you, something my heart will never give to you no matter how much you bend me." She snapped, rage engulfing her.

She hated how he treated her as a possession of his he would dominate, as a prisoner he could bind to himself for all of eternity, as if she was nothing but an object he could coerce into his will, a submissive little doll he loved to play with.

Aware her impulsive words could hurt him, she immediately bit down on the inside of her cheek in regret, even though he retained a blank expression on his face. There was no flicker of hurt swirling in his blood red eyes or maybe she hadn’t noticed it because she was busy bracing her self for the incoming slap or hit he would inflict on her when she saw his hand outstretched toward her face.

She swallowed with eyes closed, but then she felt his hands grazing her flushed cheeks with his cool fingers, every slight touch provoking an irrevocable temptation, one she couldn’t get a grasp of herself from, one she easily succumbed to as she relished in his cool fingers trailing lower from her cheeks. His sleek, slender cool fingers against her warm flesh trailing lower to her bare neck, elicited a spark, one she needed to strengthen her resolve against, but couldn’t.

He suddenly pulled his hand away from her hot skin that was already burning with anticipated pleasure, breaking her out of her trance like state in the short moment of confusion.

She gritted her teeth in anger and disappointment, she got angry whenever he made her feel tempted to the extent she would be mindless enough to yearn for more of his sinful touch.

"I’ll see you at the wedding hall, try not to drool on your way to the altar." He teased with snaky eyes smoldering down at her and a sheepish smirk, before she could come up with a snarky reply, she heard the door close shut.

She still couldn’t quite fully believe that he had marked her and not only did he mark her with the bondbite, now he also wanted to get married to her? She screamed inwardly as she breathed out raggedly, it all left her in a state of disorientation, but nevertheless, she wasn’t surprised.

She was already aware that Draco might ruin her wedding, but what surprised her was the enigmatic plans he held for her, even her intrusive thoughts hadn’t pondered this far about his plans, never would she have thought he would mark her with an unbreakable bond for all of eternity and then marry her.

The thought of them consummating on their wedding night which was tonight made her head explode and her body trembled unnervingly. If she were to reject his proposal of marriage, he would undoubtedly make Malika suffer, even the bond they now shared wasn’t enough to make him merciful towards someone she cared about.

She could only sigh drearily at her unparalleled twist of fate. Less than a few minutes later, the maids and Malika scurried back in, giving her a finishing touch as it was time for the wedding to commence.

A white beaded veil was worn over her face to conceal it, falling over her chest and back. Malika walked behind her as they exited the room and moved toward the wedding hall.

She stood in front of the towering double doors leading into the cathedral. It reminded her of her coronation as a queen, but now she was getting married to her rival vampire king. How her life had taken an unexpected twist of turn and she wondered just how many more twists her life would take from then henceforth.

The door suddenly shot open with a drumming creak, revealing the interior of the wedding hall to her sight.

The hall, adorned in Gothic splendor, was a breathtaking sight to behold. Its towering ceilings were adorned with cascading crystal chandeliers that bathed the room in a soft, ethereal glow.

The walls, draped in rich velvet tapestries embroidered with ancient vampire insignias, whispered tales of centuries past.

As she entered, she was greeted by a grand staircase, its marble steps swathed in lush black and crimson carpeting. Tall, silver candelabras lined the path, their flickering flames casting eerie shadows that danced across the faces of the vampire attendees.

Taking her time, she slightly tugged on her skirt as she clambered down the stairs, placing one shaky foot after the other to avoid tripping and falling flat on her face, because if she did, she’d just lay flat on the floor and never get back up again.

Thankfully Malika was behind her, as she helped her support her movement by gathering a handful of the train of her gown behind her, while she climbed down the stairs.

The center of the hall held a grand altar, where blood-red roses intertwined with deep black lilies forming an otherworldly bouquet. Atop the altar, a magnificent obsidian throne awaited the Vampire King, its intricate carvings depicting scenes of immortal love and eternal power. Although he wasn’t seated on it as he stood awaiting his bride, awaiting her on the altar.

Vampire guests, clad in regal attire of dark silks and lace, mingled beneath the hall’s vaulted arches, their eyes glittering with a hunger for both blood and the passionate union taking place before them.

The air was heavy with anticipation, and the haunting strains of a mournful violinist added a touch of melancholic romance to the atmosphere, her heart pounding with a mix of terror and fascination.

As the ceremony began, Rama the bride, her golden porcelain skin a stark contrast to the vampiric guests pale ones, walked down the aisle with grace, her gown of silk and lace trailing behind her like a ghostly apparition.

As she walked down the aisle, numerous pairs of red eyes fixated their dreadful gazes on her, she was glad her face was hidden behind the veil, although not for long, not until he would peel it off.

Her steps faltered as she met familiar faces seated at the front seats among the many pairs of red eyes. Damien’s mother glared at her from beneath her thick dark lashes, well what a twist. Shouldn’t she be happy that her son was no longer getting married to a human? She pondered inwardly, but on second thought she might be enraged because she broke her son’s heart.

Clearly it wasn’t her fault, if someone was to blame, it’d be Draco. Her gaze dropped on lord Zamiel seated a few seats away from them, he didn’t care enough to look, as usual he was living in his own desolate world.

Meanwhile, her gaze dropped on the two demons, one amused by the drastic change of events that was transpiring, the other overwhelmed with envy and rage as she shot her visible burning glares with gritted teeth, she prudently walked down the aisle in case of any unexpected attacks from her many enemies.

Her mind had been crammed with overthinking and a train of emotions, she hadn’t taken a moment to revel in Draco’s inhumane magnificence until then at the wedding hall as he stood on the altar awaiting her, his bride.

As she neared the altar, her gaze momentarily dropped on the dark entity she was getting wedded to, her breath hitched and she subconsciously stopped breathing.
