Chapter 179: Finish his task

The man did not give her the chance, although her stab had been ruthless she only had so much strength and did not stab hard enough. The man was in so much pain but he was also unwilling to die in the hands of a lady.

So he he covered his injury eyes with on arm and ruthlessly slammed the knife in Anastasia’s hand with the other.

Anastasia felt her hand go numb and the knife falling to the ground. Her other hand was already injured and impossible to use.

Anastasia could only take a few steps back in fear.

The man was the maskedan from Gube. While scar face had been entangled with the Nixel soilders, he had taken the cover to find the princess who had fallen from the slope. Regardless of the situation he was still willing to finish his task and returned home.

He wore a mask because he thought his handsome appearance was one of his best give. He did not want to have a scar on his face like his partner. He did not expect to suddenly get stabbed in the eyes by the princess of Nixel.

He was very angry, he decided to teach her a lesson before taking her away.

Looking at the still unconscious Ernest, he had the urge to kill him before dealing with Anastasia but he was also worried that just lowering his head to deal with this man, Anastasia might take the chance to escape.

He also knew that there were Nixel soilders not far away, if Anastasia run now, which ever direction she went she might run into Nixel Army then he would have lost an eye for nothing, so he ignored Ernest on the Fall and walked over to Anastasia who was retreating step by step. Until her back was against the hill of the slope.

He ruthless raised his hand and slapped Anastasia on the face. His slap was to had that Anastasia fell and became to bleed from her mouth.

The masked man Ben and picked Anastasia up from her neck. His eyes hurt serious. Although he knew how to bare pain, the eyes was a very delicate part of a human body.

The more he felt the pain the more he tightened his grip on Anastasia’s neck.

Anastasia struggle, she was deprived of breath and wonder if this was going to be her death.

The masked man knew that Anastasia was of no use if she died. If she was not the wife of the crown prince of Nixel she would be long dead. So although his grip was tight he controls his strength so she doesn’t dead but desperate fight for her life.

He intended to let go only when her eyes were turning white. He was watching Anastasia desperate struggle with a calm face, none of them nothing the blood from Anastasia’s mother that had rolled to the Masked man hand.

The blood rolled and mad a contact with an injuring close to his wrist.

Upon making contact, The mask man felt a strange pain in his wrisk, the pain was so excruciating that he insistativly let go of Anastasia, who fell on the ground and started coughing lightly.

On the other hand, theasked man could not tell what was going on, the pain in his wrist intensifies and began to spread all over his hand

There also appears swelling on his hand.

He did not care about Anastasia who was coughing, he fell on his knees with pain. So his senses began to shot down from pain.

Anastasia who had been coughing finally caught her breath. She looks at the man only to find him suddenly fallen to the ground. She blink her eyes not understanding what was going on. When the man had left her she had been relieved. After all, this only means that the man did not want to kill her. She felt that as long as she was alive, everything else did not matter.

She thought the man would lunch another attack at her, she did not expect him to be lying on the floor seeming to be going through pain, she wanted to walk over to where the knife had fallen, attack now that the man seems to be out of his mind but she only took a few steps before feeling week herself and fell to the ground become unconscious.

"Your highness, we had noice coming from over there and there seems to be a little light, it should be that some light fire," a guard said.

They had been searched the area unsure of where the princess and Ernest had fallen. The scar man and the masked man had been partners for long, so although they had not exchanged words a simple glance was enough. So the first thirty men who went to look for Anastasia were first lead atray by two.

The thirty men were not very familiar with this area, meanwhile those two had always done operation within this boulder so it was an easy task to seprate them. Then the scar man kept them distracted while the masked man walked over in the right direction to find the princess.

The thirty men were not easy to deal with so they had spent a lot of time. By the time the scared man went to search for Anastasia and Ernest a lot of time had passed. He also had to check careful, after all there was no guarantee that the two would be waiting close to the spot they had fallen. Fortunately those two were bold enough to make fire. Do although it was small fire, it could not be hidden in darkness. So he had used the first to find them. Now his noise had also attracted princess Edward who brought a group of men to find Anastasia.

"Go over," Prince Edward said. He took the lead and went over.

When they arrived, they found three people laying down. Looking at the scene it was clear that there has been a struggle.

Seeing Anastasia laying unconscious, Prince Edward felt very guilty. He hurried over to check. Seeing that she was still breathing he took a deep breath.

He gated himself for forgetting to arrange a physician. He immediately picked up the princess and mount a horse to hurry back to the camp. The men with him also help Ernest.
