Chapter 332: Sessions

Chapter 332: Sessions

In the following days, Nikolai’s schedule became so tight that Mineah couldn’t find an opportunity to go to Ebodia in the mist form and meet Seer Tarah. She badly wanted to see Tarah but Nikolai adamantly refused to let her go alone without him.

Today was another day she would try to coax him into letting her go alone or with any of his shadow knights and her shadow maidens if he was worried and could not go with her. To be honest, she could simply sneak away using the teleportation spell but she didn’t want to do anything behind his back.

Mineah’s frown deepened as she absentmindedly stared at the gifts she received from her husband. They were extraordinary magical things that were very rare and very hard to obtain.

"Maybe I should ask him where and how he acquired all these," Mineah mused to herself. She let out a sigh before placing all the gifts in her magical chest. Then, she left her private chamber and headed to her private solarium, where her wild plants and herbs awaited her. It had been a while since she had visited them.

"Your Majesty," Zaila greeted, bowing respectfully as Mineah walked through the hallway.

"Are you heading somewhere?" Zaila asked.

"Yes, to my solarium. It’s been a while..." Mineah replied with a smile.

"Let me accompany you till there, Your Majesty. I’m sure we’ll find Dahlia there at this hour. She’s been taking care of the solarium diligently for quite some time now," Zaila informed her.

"Alright, then we should have a drink with her. It has been a while since I talked to her as well," Mineah agreed as she started walking with Zaila at her side.

"Well, Krisha is keeping her company most of the time, Milady. Those two are getting along well. I guess they found common ground about missing their partners since both their husbands are not with them," Zaila remarked.

Mineah smiled and said, "I’m sure, Dahlia and Zoran will be together soon. Nikolai told me how their sessions are showing great progress. As for Krisha, I’ll try to persuade Lai to give Taro some breaks..."

"What about you, Your Majesty? Have you found a way to remove the divine dagger inside of you?" Zaila asked.

"Unfortunately, not yet Zaila," Mineah answered with a low tone. She had already told her mother about this dilemma during her birthday celebration, and her mother suggested that the magical book "The Chronicles of the Fallen Angel" would surely hold the answer, though it could be in the form of riddles.

"I’m sure there will be a solution to it, Milady," Zaila offered words of encouragement.

Mineah nodded and said, "Yes, that’s what I strongly believe and hope for too."

They soon arrived at the solarium and as Zaila had mentioned, Dahlia was there, though she wasn’t alone because Krisha was with her. The two were enjoying tea time at the table inside the solarium.

The two quickly rose from their seats and greeted her with a courteous bow, "Your Majesty."

Mineah smiled and said, "Can we join you, ladies?"

"Of course, Your Majesty. It will be our pleasure," Dahlia quickly answered.

Mineah and Zaila joined the two women , and they began discussing their experiences with married life, sharing stories, laughter, and companionship.

"Why do I have a feeling that I’m an outcast here?" Zaila playfully interjected, feigning a pout. Mineah chuckled and said, "No, you’re not. You should be glad that you’ve had the chance to hear real-life experiences from married women. It’ll be beneficial for your future when your time comes to marry."

Zaila could only shrug her shoulders.

Their joyous conversation was interrupted upon Fritz’s arrival.

"Your Majesty," the man courteously greeted her with a bow. "I am here to pick up Lady Dahlia for another session with Zoran."

"Oh, I would like to come and witness it," Mineah replied.

She knew she just had to be there. Nikolai would be there as well, seeing as her dear husband had informed her about the irregular schedule of Dahlia and Zoran’s sessions that he was basically trying to do in his free time. Currently, the set-up was arranged in such a way that Fritz would pick up Dahlia whenever Nikolai was free to be present for the session as he was the only one who could stop Zoran from hurting his wife.

Back in reality, Mineah and Dahlia walked together to the private and secret chamber where Zoran was currently staying.

"It’s like we’re taking baby steps every session, but I’m grateful enough that we’re making progress every time," Dahlia gratefully spoke as they walked. "Last time, I was able to tell Zoran how we first met as well as our journey together. He might not remember everything about me, but I’ll still do my best to tell him about them. They’re the precious memories we had together, and I want him to at least know even if the emotions in those memories are gone from his point of view."

"Well, he looks like he’s eager to find out more, at least," Fritz remarked as he used his fan to cool himself. "He’s been bugging me more recently to get you, but we can’t do that unless His Majesty is around to ensure your safety."

"I understand, and I’m truly grateful to His Majesty for giving us time despite his own busy schedule," Dahlia sincerely commented with a genuine smile.

A few moments later, they finally reached the outside of the secret chamber. Stopping at the doorway, Dahlia muttered, "In the last session we had, Zoran managed not to attack me for thirty minutes. I hope this time, he’ll manage to go for longer..."

Smiling, Mineah tapped Dahlia’s shoulder and reassured her. "I’m sure he’ll manage to control himself much longer this time," she spoke. "What matters is that he’s also eager to overcome this so that the two of you can finally reunite."

Dahlia offered her a timid smile in response. At the same time, Ritz stepped forward and opened the door for them, allowing them to enter the room. It was the first time for Mineah to enter the secret bedchamber where Nikolai kept Zoran hidden and isolated from the others. The man was no longer a danger since he already managed to control himself as a new vampire with the exemption of being with his wife, who was still a struggle for Zoran since her blood attracted him too much.

The moment they entered the room, Mineah quickly noticed the literal hunger in Zoran’s eyes

"Mine," Nikolai greeted her with surprise in his eyes.

"I was with Dahlia when Fritz came to pick her up," she promptly explained.

Nikolai nodded, and Fritz promptly offered Mineah a chair near where her husband currently stood. Sitting down, she watched as Fritz guided Dahlia down to her own seat with a decent distance away from Zoran. Looking around, Mineah couldn’t feel Nikolai’s familiar energy inside the chamber yet, indicating that Zoran was still in full control over his urges to attack Dahlia.

Feeling herself, Mineah let out a sigh as she took note of how she no longer felt the divine dagger inside of her reacting to Zoran. Until now, she still couldn’t get a grasp on what triggered the divine dagger to react to him.

At first, she thought that it was only reacting to the dark energies within him. But then, the more she thought about it, the more she knew that there was still more to things than she initially guessed. After all, during her birthday celebration, she felt a strong yet tolerable pain inside her heart, especially whenever she was around her own brother Ezekiel. Thankfully, the reaction wasn’t constant since it would disappear and reappear every once in a while for seemingly no rhyme or reason.

Going back to the present, Mineah turned to Nikolai and bit her inner cheek. The divine dagger was also reacting around Nikolai, but it was doing things differently. It wasn’t as constant either.

Shaking her head, Mineah tried to brush off the nervewracking thoughts concerning the divine dagger inside her head. She just hoped that it was something that she shouldn’t be wary of. She then looked at Dahlia and focused on the scene before her.

Currently, her friend was eagerly telling Zoran the continuation of her story, and by the end of the session which took almost an hour, Mineah felt bad for Dahlia. Her friend was still crying when Nikolai instructed Fritz to take her away because of how Zoran had managed to snap himself out of his control.

Seeing that she was needed, Mineah went out to comfort Dahlia herself.

[I feel bad for Dahlia. You should do sessions with them every day] Mineah told Nikolai through their bond while the latter was busy restraining Zoran. [Do it at night time if you must. Let’s just help them get better...]

[But Mine... That’s my quality time with you!] Nikolai protested. [No way am I giving up on that!]

Mineah’s face blushed hard at his words. After all, that quality time her husband was talking about was actually their unfailing love-making sessions every night.
