Chapter 324: Blueballs

Abel let out a deep sigh as he slowly made his way inside his home. It was already late, and he suspected that his dear wife, Dani, was already asleep. It was another night of torment, lying beside his wife in the same bed, yet restraining himself from touching her.

It would have been so much simpler to lie and simply tell her that he already loved her, and yet Dani was too precious to him for lies. He knew that dishonesty could easily shatter the foundation of their budding relationship.

Love... He wondered if he would ever even develop that kind of feeling after the traumatic experience he had with Rosela. Yet he was quite aware of how Dani was different from Rosela, and how Dani was someone deserving to receive genuine love from him. Still, something held him back. For some reason, he feared allowing his heart to fully embrace a woman again, even though he continuously reminded himself that Dani was profoundly different and would never inflict harm upon him.

As expected Dani was already asleep the moment he entered their bedchamber. Tomorrow evening was a special night for the two of them after all, as it was the night of their Coupling Rite. During this ceremony, Dani would perform a traditional dance for him, allowing him to mark her. He was too giddy at the thought of teasing her about tomorrow night.

Abel quickly tidied up and changed out of his clothes before he quietly joined Dani on the bed. He carefully laid down, in order to ensure that Dani wouldn’t feel his presence, but as silent as he was, Dani still stirred in bed and faced towards him on her side.

Abel turned to face her as well, his undeniable attraction to his wife evident. Her small oval-shaped face perfectly complemented the fierce look in her eyes. He raised his arm to remove the red strands of her short curly hair away from her face so that he could have a better view of it. She was facing the balcony and the moonlight provided him with a clear view of her captivating beauty.

What caught his attention more was her plump and red lips. Unknowingly, he caressed her lips with his fingers, trailing the sexy and perfect shape of it, a suppressed groan passed throughout him.

"What a torture..." he complained followed by a heavy sigh.

Dani lazily opened her eyes while her lips widened as she sluggishly hummed, "You’re home. Have you had any dinner?"

Abel chuckled. He liked it every time Dani would ask him about dinner, despite knowing how his appetite was different from hers.

"Will you feed me tonight?" he jokingly said.

Dani offered her wrist to him and said with a pout, "Go ahead, feed on me. It’s alright. I would rather have you feed on me once in a while instead of visiting a tavern to feed on random humans there."

’When was the last time I did that?’ Abel thought to himself.

Right, Dani was aware of his tavern habits since he had brought her before to one of the taverns in their City where female humans would offer their fresh blood for a high price. It was a legal transaction since all of the tavern’s operations were legal as well. Dani had offered in the past to be his drinking buddy, it was during the time he was still nursing his broken heart over Rosela...

She had also seen him feeding on a female human over his lap.

"The last time I visited a place like that, Dani, was when I was with you..." Abel confessed. Dani, who seemed to be fully awake now, raised her brow at him as if she were making sure that he was truly stating the truth.

"Are you quite sure about what you’re offering? Are you not aware that humans often feel aroused whenever a vampire feeds on them?" Abel challenged with his eyes keenly staring at his wife.

Dani’s forehead creased as she snorted, "Don’t worry. I can handle it. Besides, I heard it’s the vampire who’ll feel extremely horny while drinking a female’s blood. You can drink mine, just make sure you can control your carnal desires. Don’t forget, you’re not allowed to consummate our marriage unless you’ve already fallen in love with me, Abel. I’m dead serious about this, I’m even willing to use the Thrall Chaining Spell against you."

Abel chuckled and said, "Hmm that’s actually a great idea Dani. Do you realize the self-control I have to muster just to keep from touching you? It constantly drives me crazy, I feel like I might lose it any moment now.."

He smiled and gently caressed her cheeks which suddenly turned red. She looked so adorable whenever she would end up speechless and embarrassed against him like that.

"Ah, never mind. I already changed my mind about offering my blood," she scoffed with a frown as she hastily turned around from him. Facing away from him, Abel suddenly hugged her from behind.

"What are you doing?" Dani murmured.

He could feel and hear the loud thumping of her heart. Like him, he too had a great impact on her, and yet she was so adamant about not being intimate with him. He was doing his best to understand where she was coming from with this rule, he was once a human after all and he could try to understand why women preferred that their partner be both physically and emotionally involved with them.

"Hugging is not prohibited, is it? Let me hug you, my dear wife. Besides, I’ve hugged you every night since we started sleeping on the same bed. You just sleep like a log during every time, which is why you’ve probably never noticed..." Abel murmured against her nape.

"You smell so nice, and I like it. You’re so warm, Dani. So perfect in my cold arms like this," Abel continued to whisper as he fought back the urge to kiss her nape.

Not that it was not allowed... Dani was only against fully consummating their marriage, but he knew that once he started doing anything to Dani and let his instinct take over, there wouldn’t be any stopping him anymore.

He was so distracted by the feeling of their bodies against each other, that Abel knew he would be having another sleepless night.

Fighting the urge to keep his hands to himself, he teased, "Tomorrow is another big night for us, so go back to sleep Dani, and rest well. You have a performance to prepare for, and I can’t wait to see how you will seduce me during the rites tomorrow."

Dani simply sighed at this, so he continued with questions, "Are you nervous? Do you want me to cancel it? We can actually not go through the Coupling Dance. You do know that I only suggested it before to tease you. But if you’re uncomfortable going through it then we don’t have to. I can simply just mark you tomorrow in front of them and that will be enough. The royal family’s Coupling Rite is the only one required to have it performed anyway."

"It’s fine. I can do it, Abel. I actually had a fun time preparing for it. I never thought about dancing before, but it’s quite fun. Who would have thought that I could actually dance," Dani hummed with a chuckle.

"I bet you have more in you that you’ll discover in the long run, like how you’ll probably be good in bed, my dear wife," he teased more, but that teasing only backfired against him as he inwardly groaned at the lewd thoughts like Dani riding him or giving him a blowjob. He had been so hard since the moment he joined her in bed, and he bet that Dani could feel him growing behind her since his groin was flush against her behind.

"Stop teasing me or you’ll end up having blueballs, my husband. Like you said I should rest now. Good night, Abel," Dani muttered and silence reigned inside their bedchamber. He would indeed have another blueballs tonight.

Abel could still hear and feel the erratic and loud beating of Dani’s heart, he started to hear her chanting, and soon her breathing became steady and low, indicating that she had already fallen asleep.

"Damn," Abel cursed because Dani had probably cast a sleeping spell on herself, leaving him alone in his torturous and tormented state. "I should have asked her to cast a sleeping spell on me instead," Abel muttered. He needed a cold shower at this rate, and yet he couldn’t break his possessive hug around his wife.

"I wonder how long I can like this," Abel hummed to himself. His control was already running thin and was really threatening to disappear soon. But if that time comes, he hoped that Dani would decide to not use that Thrall Chaining Spell against him. He couldn’t stop hoping that she would surrender to him on her own will instead.
