The Cold-hearted CEO's Unwanted Bride
Chapter 345: Mr. Bo, are you asking about Mrs. Bo?

Chapter 345: Chapter 345: Mr. Bo, are you asking about Mrs. Bo?

Bo Yunshen thought for a moment, then sat back down on the bed. The air conditioning was set to a very low temperature, yet it couldn’t suppress the raging fire within him!

No!

Why should he care what Qin Yan thought? Once he got evidence of her cheating, he’d divorce her!

Then he’d marry Manman!

This idea had taken root in his heart for three years. Now that it could finally be realized, he ought to celebrate grandly and proclaim it to the world!

Bo Yunshen suddenly stood up, opened the hospital room door, and followed after her.

Qin Yan was no longer in the hallway. The lighting on the SVIP floor was dim and the atmosphere unusually quiet. Bo Yunshen glanced at the emergency exit, then walked over to the nurse’s station to ask, "Where did the woman who just came out of my room go?"

The nurse lifted her head, saw Bo Yunshen, and her eyes brightened slightly, her cheeks flushing a faint shade of red.

"Mr. Bo... Mr. Bo, are you asking about Mrs. Bo?"

Bo Yunshen: "..."

He didn’t respond, which could be taken as tacit approval. The nurse smiled and pointed toward the duty doctor’s office:

"Mr. Bo, Mrs. Bo is getting checked tonight."

"She has a mild concussion. When she was rescued from Bai Le Men, I was the one who received her in the ambulance."

Bo Yunshen’s brow twitched.

He tilted his head, looking over.

The nurse wasn’t particularly pretty, but her round face gave her a kind and approachable appearance.

He remembered vividly that on the day of the fire, he searched every private room on the second floor but hadn’t been able to find her.

For a time, he had doubted whether Qin Yan had ever even been inside. Had she escaped, or had she deliberately left him there to die in Bai Le Men?

But the nurse suddenly said this...

"You received her in the ambulance?"

His tone was cold. The nurse, feeling uneasy, hesitated before nodding.

"Do you know who rescued her? Where was she rescued from?"

The nurse paused for a moment: "The second-floor restroom."

"It was that gentleman who came to visit you earlier who rescued her."

As she spoke, the nurse glanced suspiciously at Bo Yunshen: "At the time, the situation was chaotic, but Mrs. Bo’s injuries were the worst—she was completely unconscious!"

"But Mr. Bo, weren’t you aware?"

"When I boarded the ambulance, I clearly saw you speaking with that gentleman!"

Bo Yunshen’s heart clenched suddenly.

So it was Lu Yi who rescued Qin Yan. He had talked to Lu Yi by the ambulance.

Thinking back on this, clarity hit him like a tidal wave.

But back then, Lu Yi had clearly told him that Qin Yan was still inside Bai Le Men and hadn’t come out!

What fire alarm had rescued Qin Yan, what need for someone to go back into Bai Le Men to continue searching!

Bo Yunshen almost laughed out loud.

He had even issued harsh words at the time, telling Lu Yi to get lost!

What a fool he had been!

Bo Yunshen’s thin lips pressed tightly together, forming two sharp lines like blades. His gaze darkened.

He pulled out his phone, stepped aside, and dialed Gu Jinyan’s number.

His thoughts were muddled—something still didn’t sit right!

Once the call connected, Gu Jinyan’s side was booming with club music: "Old Bo? Not asleep yet at this hour? Feeling extra energetic tonight?"

"Night Club just got a batch of beauties. Come join us!"

Bo Yunshen’s brow twitched violently: "Don’t you know my physical condition? Night Club? Be serious. I have something to ask you!"

"What is it?"

Bo Yunshen licked his lips and asked, "Why did you warn me to be wary of Lu Yi?"

"Didn’t I say? When you were undergoing emergency treatment at the hospital, Lu Yi showed up with your wife."

"I heard from people at the hospital that your wife was brought in for emergency care!"

"Isn’t it ridiculous? Here you were, critically injured, and Lu Yi, instead of being there as your legitimate cousin, was with your wife?"

Gu Jinyan continued, suddenly shifting his tone: "But I only casually mentioned it. After all, there’s no concrete evidence—it could just be my overthinking."

"Still, you should keep your guard up! That Lu Yi guy, it’s obvious at a glance that he has feelings for your wife. Don’t let your guard down!"

Bo Yunshen hung up the call expressionlessly.

His brow eased slightly as he put away his phone and walked directly toward the office the nurse had pointed out.

As he approached, Qin Yan emerged holding a medical report. Bo Yunshen reached out and snatched it away.

Qin Yan was startled. Seeing it was him, her expression softened slightly: "All patched up?"

Bo Yunshen didn’t respond, gripping the report tightly and scrutinizing it closely. It was filled with technical medical terms he couldn’t understand, but the words on the page were clear to him.

As the nurse had said, it was indeed a mild concussion.

He gave a cold sneer, crumpled the report into a ball, and tossed it into the trash can in the hallway.

Who’s to say whether Qin Yan had bribed the doctor to fabricate a fake medical report?

He turned back toward the hospital room. Qin Yan followed: "Mr. Bo, are you worried about me?"

"Don’t flatter yourself!"

"Then explain, Mr. Bo, why did you follow me out?"

Bo Yunshen narrowed his long eyes and let out a low laugh, chillingly cold: "Of course, to see if my hat of shame has gained another feather!"

Qin Yan pressed her lips slightly, glancing up at Bo Yunshen.

He stood against the light, his body carrying injuries sustained for another woman. Yet—to her, he was the only light that ever graced her life.

A fleeting light... one that disappeared as quickly as it came.

...

Qin Yan had expected that, since the Qin Group had submitted the collaborative project to the marketing department, they would eventually find their way to her. But she hadn’t anticipated they’d move so quickly.

And she certainly hadn’t expected Qin Mingchuan himself to show up.

Coincidentally, that day, Qin Yinyin was visiting the hospital. She had gone to buy lunch for her child and was intercepted by Qin Mingchuan on her way back.

"Sis!"

He was tall—a full head taller than Qin Yan—standing before her like an insurmountable mountain.

Qin Yan had to tilt her head up just to look at him.

Qin Mingchuan’s height likely matched Bo Yunshen’s, though the latter always exuded a suffocating sense of pressure.

Qin Mingchuan was different. His face bore a sunny smile, free of any shadow, almost foolish in its brightness.

It was Qin Yan’s first time meeting him. In the past, her father had been so adamant about protecting his new life that he’d never allowed her to step foot in his home.

Yet, she knew him well.

The year their mother passed, the headlines of every newspaper in Tong City had been reporting the Qin Group chairman’s remarriage.

The mistress had moved in, bearing a son six years younger than Qin Yan.

She had tried seeking her father back then, yet he didn’t want to see her. That year, she lost her mother—and her father.

"I don’t know you!"

Qin Yan took Qin Yinyin’s hand, bypassing Bo Yunshen, and prepared to head back inside the hospital.

Qin Yan had no affection for this younger brother born to the mistress who ascended in her mother’s wake.

But Qin Mingchuan was clearly not so easily dismissed. He reached out to grab her arm: "Sis, I know you!"

"Don’t say you don’t know me. I’m your brother!"

Qin Mingchuan grinned, looking down at Qin Yinyin, and laughed: "This must be my niece, right? She’s so pretty! But Sis, your niece doesn’t look much like you!"

Qin Yan’s brow furrowed, her cold gaze intense. The sunlight filtered through her sharp eyelashes onto her lower eyelids, casting heavy shadows.
