Chapter 338: Chapter 338: If You Bully Mom Again, I’ll Tell Grandpa
"If you bully mom again, I’ll tell grandpa!"
His pupils contracted.
Tell the old man?
Really, what a good daughter—scheming for his inheritance on one hand, wishing for his demise on the other!
Truly worthy of being Qin Yan’s child!
Bo Yunshen let out a cold chuckle and retorted, "Do you think I’m scared of you?!"
He bent down, picked up his phone, and dialed Bo Yuanshan’s number: "Go ahead, tell your grandpa. Tell him I almost strangled your mom!"
"Let him bring over a whip and beat me to death, fine by me! Everything I have now can all be yours!"
As Bo Yunshen finished speaking, the call connected. Qin Yinyin bit her lower lip; her misty eyes glimmered with tears that seemed ready to fall at any moment.
From the phone, Bo Yuanshan’s voice came through: "Yunshen? Calling at this hour—what’s up?"
"Where’s Yinyin?"
Hearing Bo Yuanshan call her name, Qin Yinyin’s tears burst forth. She let out a sobbing cry.
She was only three years old, yet from the first time she saw Bo Yunshen grab Qin Yan’s neck in front of her, she had felt sorrow—and she never forgot.
In her mind, Bo Yunshen’s image was always beautified by the filter Qin Yan had painted for him.
So when the blow arrived, it was doubly harsh!
She’d never hated the word "dad" so much before, sobbing so gutturally that it left both Bo Yunshen and Qin Yan utterly caught off guard.
"Yinyin?"
"Bo Yunshen, you little brat! Did you bully Yinyin again?!"
"Grandpa’s sweet darling, don’t cry. Tell me, did your dad make you upset?"
Qin Yinyin choked back a few sobs, clutching the shattered screen of her phone and said, "It... it was Yinyin who dropped it herself. It’s got... nothing to do with dad."
Her crying was so heartbreaking that even Bo Yuanshan felt pained and didn’t believe her words deep down.
After hanging up, Qin Yinyin handed the phone back to Bo Yunshen, her tear-filled eyes pleading: "I won’t tell grandpa anything anymore. Can you please... not hit mom again?!"
Bo Yunshen paused for a moment.
Using retreat as a strategy to advance—this little brat had perfectly inherited Qin Yan’s tricks!
Though her wailing left Bo Yunshen feeling stifled inside, he stood up, glanced briefly at Qin Yan, and offered a noncommittal promise: "I’ve never hit a woman."
Then, he coldly added, "Director Qin, you’ve got a pretty good sense of how I am, don’t you? I’d suggest you keep things in check for your daughter’s sake; otherwise, someday she’ll end up crying seven or eight times a day!"
"I wouldn’t want her tears to flood my hospital room!"
Qin Yan cleared her throat uncomfortably, her expression calm yet distant.
She didn’t respond, and Bo Yunshen grabbed his wallet and turned to leave the hospital room.
As he approached the door, Qin Yan called out, "Yunshen, with all the injuries you have, if you drink and your wounds get infected, I won’t help you."
"I know how much you care about Manman. When that happens, I’ll call Manman to take care of you!"
Bo Yunshen: "..."
How generous. At this moment, Qin Yan wasn’t even worried about reporters—so now it’s *his* Manman, huh?
Does she still think he owes her the "World’s Most Dutiful Wife Award"?!
He let out a cold laugh and walked straight out of the hospital room.
As he stepped outside, the blazing heat overwhelmed him, surrounding him relentlessly.
The injuries on his body stung and throbbed even more painfully.
Bo Yunshen’s eyelashes lowered slightly, carrying an air of cold intensity.
He didn’t drive but walked to a restaurant across from the hospital and ordered a few dishes.
Rubbing the spot on his head where Qin Yinyin had hit him, Bo Yunshen turned and locked eyes with a journalist.
"Mr.—Mr. Bo..."
The journalist hadn’t expected Bo Yunshen to turn around and stammered when addressing him.
Bo Yunshen ignored him.
His hand wasn’t bandaged; the injury looked particularly bad. The skin appeared scalded and raw, with an unbroken blister in the palm of his left hand.
This state did indeed look somewhat pitiable.
The journalist hesitated, then softly asked, "Mr. Bo, forgive me, earlier when you were ordering, I overheard you say you were going to get this packed to go!"
"Is it for your wife and daughter to eat?"
Bo Yunshen shot him an irritated glance, his pent-up rage finding an opening for release: "If not for them, then for you to eat?"
The journalist, caught off guard, didn’t seem offended but even smiled: "Mr. Bo, enduring such heavy injuries yet coming personally to pack food—is Mrs. Bo usually this abusive to you?"
"Is this the reason for your history of colorful, lively rumors outside the home?"
Bo Yunshen turned his head slightly, staring deeply at the journalist.
That look sent chills down the journalist’s spine.
Bo Yunshen raised his thumb, pressed it against the corner of his lips, his gaze narrowing, locking firmly onto the journalist.
"I didn’t want to come. Who could force me here? Qin Yan with her tiny frame, abusing me? What—are you blind?!"
Journalist: "..."
The journalist’s expression twisted in awkward disbelief as Bo Yunshen let out a cold snort of laughter.
Abuse him? This reporter had no idea—before coming here, he had just finished "abusing" Qin Yan!
That woman wanted to act entitled, but in this lifetime, she’d never get a chance to climb over his head.
When his food was packed, Bo Yunshen carried it out of the restaurant.
He glanced uneasily at the packed food in his hands—pack food for Qin Yan?
Could that reporter be working for Qin Yan?
No way! This wasn’t for Qin Yan; it was just that looking at her attitude earlier, he could tell she wouldn’t leave to buy him food anymore!
He was the patient—how could he manage without food?
With a light chuckle, Bo Yunshen returned to the hospital.
Back in the hospital room, Qin Yan was sitting on a single couch, holding a document and staring off in a daze.
She didn’t even notice when Bo Yunshen entered.
Bo Yunshen turned his head to look at her, seated with her back facing him—a fair complexion, calm expression, a lock of dark hair falling near her ear. The bluish bruises from his grasp on her neck stood out starkly.
Qin Yan’s demeanor felt off. Bo Yunshen tilted his head, glancing once at the documents in her hands.
Bo Yunshen’s gaze shifted slightly—it was an altogether ordinary document, a cooperation proposal from Qin Group.
Bo Yunshen paused briefly—Qin Group?
Bo Yunshen had never even heard of it before. Bo Group dominated most of Tong City’s economy; plenty of companies eagerly sought collaborations with them!
The Marketing Department indeed handled some transactions—like Qin Group, one not particularly remarkable or profitable. Many times, cases like these wouldn’t even reach the attention of Bo Group’s president.
Bo Yunshen suspiciously glanced at Qin Yan—what a coincidence. Qin Yan’s surname is Qin; could this Qin Group have something to do with her?
He didn’t think any deeper about it. Reaching out, he tapped Qin Yan’s chair back. She snapped out of her daze abruptly and turned around, meeting Bo Yunshen’s deep-set eyes.
His brows carried a hint of aloofness, though without his usual oppressive hostility: "Eat."
Thinking that he was hungry, Qin Yan licked the corner of her lips and softly asked, "Yunshen, what would you like to eat? I’ll go buy it."
