Chapter 330: Chapter 330 Yinyin, How Can You Be So Rude!?

"Everyone listens to her so much!"

Thankfully, his mother still has a bit of sense. Yes, burning incense is good. With Qin Yan in the Bo Family, every single day feels cursed!

She’s been tied to his household registration for three years, and the fact that he’s still doing fine is entirely thanks to God showing some mercy, giving him a way out!

"Mommy, what’s this? It looks so tasty. Can I try some?"

As the driver left, Qin Yan followed Qin Yinyin’s gaze to the object she was pointing at.

She pursed her lips. "That’s chicken soup Aunt Lin Man made for Daddy. If you want to have some, Mommy will make it for you when we get home tonight!"

Qin Yinyin blinked her long lashes. "Mommy, you liar! Aren’t you staying at the hospital tonight to take care of Daddy?"

"Grandma said Daddy is sick and will be staying in the hospital for a long time."

Qin Yan let out a sigh of relief. She had actually been worried that Mrs. Bo might vent her anger over Bo Yunshen’s injury onto Qin Yinyin and say something inappropriate to her.

Fortunately, Mrs. Bo still had some boundaries.

"This..."

Bo Yunshen rubbed his stomach. He had eaten a bit too much earlier in the morning, irritated by a clash with Qin Yan.

The chicken soup Lin Man brought... he really couldn’t stomach any more of it.

Bo Yunshen’s lashes lowered slightly as he cast a sharp glance at Qin Yan. "Do I look so petty—so unwilling to share even a bit of chicken soup with your daughter?"

Lin Man’s expression flickered almost imperceptibly.

"Aunt Lin Man, can I have some?"

Lin Man: "..."

"Of course! Let me pour you a bowl."

As Lin Man spoke, she immediately got up to act. But Qin Yan stepped forward, grabbing hold of Qin Yinyin’s arm. "Yinyin, how could you be so impolite!?"

"How has Mommy taught you? Why are you asking others for their food now?"

"Whatever you want to eat, Mommy will buy it for you. But this soup wasn’t made for you!"

Qin Yan’s tone was stern, startling Qin Yinyin.

The little girl looked up at Qin Yan with teary eyes. Her small hands fiddled nervously. "Mommy, didn’t you say that Daddy isn’t a stranger to us?"

"Yanyan, don’t get mad. I made a lot of soup; Yinyin can have some as well!"

"It’s not something rare or precious."

"Yanyan, you should be more patient with children."

As Lin Man said this, she poured a bowl of chicken soup and handed it to Yinyin, who was standing to the side.

Carefully, Lin Man stole a glance at Qin Yan’s expression. Turning her face away, Qin Yan acted as if it was beneath her notice. With no further opposition, Yinyin beamed and accepted the bowl.

"Thank you, Aunt Lin Man!"

She was ever so polite, drawing a faint tug at Lin Man’s lips.

Clutching the bowl, Yinyin perched on the edge of the oversized hospital bed. She blew on the soup softly, intending to let it cool before drinking it.

The hospital room, limited in its facilities, had only one bowl available.

With Yinyin using it, there was no possibility of Lin Man pouring any for Bo Yunshen as well.

Seated on a chair by the corner of the room, Lin Man presented an oddly harmonious image with Yinyin and Bo Yunshen, as if the three of them were an actual family.

A pang struck Qin Yan’s heart. Her fingers tightened around the document folder in her hand.

She lowered her head, staring at the pages, unable to focus on a single word.

Whatever happened to Bo Yunshen was beyond her control, something she couldn’t interfere with. But Yinyin was different—Yinyin was her daughter. Even if the day came when her connection with Bo Yunshen was severed entirely, she would still ensure she could take Yinyin away with her.

In the relatively calm atmosphere of the hospital room, Lin Man suddenly spoke, breaking the stillness. "Yunshen, just now, why did you refer to Yinyin as Yanyan’s daughter?"

Bo Yunshen froze.

And why wouldn’t he? After all, Yinyin wasn’t even his child!

He pressed his lips together, but such words clearly weren’t suited for Lin Man to hear.

"It’s just a term of affection!"

Yinyin, quick-witted for her age, piped up immediately. Lin Man glanced at her and said softly, "Mommy also says I’m Daddy’s daughter!"

Lin Man: "..."

Bo Yunshen: "..."

Even Qin Yan, who was still trying to think of a way to explain this to Lin Man, was momentarily taken aback by Yinyin’s quick retort.

However.

Lin Man’s question had clearly been loaded with ulterior motives from the moment she spoke.

Qin Yan moistened her lips but chose not to argue.

Yinyin took another sip of her chicken soup before smiling sweetly. "Aunt Lin Man, a lot of people say I look just like Daddy. What do you think?"

Bo Yunshen, hearing this, turned his head to look at Qin Yan.

How could Yinyin—a child—ask such a pointed, deliberate question?

Was this also not something Qin Yan taught her?

Bo Yunshen’s brow furrowed with visible coldness.

Qin Yan kept her eyes lowered, her long lashes casting shadows. She had already noticed the ways in which Yinyin differed from other children. Unlike Bo Yunshen, she wasn’t particularly surprised and cared little about his reaction.

Lin Man’s awkward smile stretched across her face before she softly murmured, "She does."

This time, it was Qin Yan’s turn to be taken aback. She raised her head, stealing an involuntary glance at Lin Man.

"But Yinyin looks even more like Yanyan. Especially the lips—they’re practically identical to Yanyan’s. She’s inherited her mommy’s beauty."

Yinyin smiled at the compliment.

As a child, she naturally adored receiving praise from adults. Lin Man’s flattery was no exception!

Taking another sip of her soup, she sat quietly, finally ceasing her chatter.

Lin Man’s lips twitched slightly as she lowered her gaze, toying idly with the glossy red polish on her nails. She offhandedly licked the corner of her mouth. "Yinyin, are you done drinking? If you are, Auntie will pour a bowl for your Daddy next."

Yinyin’s cheerful expression slipped instantly.

"Aunt Lin Man, my Daddy has a germaphobia. He wouldn’t use a bowl I’ve already touched."

Bo Yunshen’s eyebrow twitched. This tidbit had been shared by Sister Li back at the Bo Mansion.

He had been there when it was said and had heard it himself.

But Yinyin—why could she remember it for so long?

He licked his lips and turned his head, throwing another glance at Qin Yan.

There she sat, poised and elegant on the armchair in the hospital room. She still wore yesterday’s white dress, utterly pristine. Her fair, delicate chin formed a graceful curve in the air as she concentrated on the documents in her hands, seemingly unaffected by anything being said around her.

Clearly, Qin Yan was leaving no stone unturned in her efforts to secure control of the company.

But for a woman like her, could his illustrious cousin truly keep her in check?

Bo Yunshen seriously doubted it.

Lin Man’s voice gently chimed again, close to his ear. "It’s all right. I can always wash it."

Yinyin responded with a murmur, handing over the bowl. "But I still want another bowl."

She licked her lips. "Aunt Lin Man, I heard you mentioning earlier that this chicken soup is the first time you’ve made it?"

"Yes!"

"Did you like it, Yinyin?"

Yinyin earnestly shook her head. "It’s too salty, and it tastes a bit burnt."

"Oh yes, Aunt Lin Man, aren’t you a friend of Daddy’s?"

"Then you should know that Daddy’s stomach often hurts. Grandma says he has to be particular about what he eats!"

Lin Man’s smile faltered, growing forced.

"Yinyin is healthy, so it’s better for her to drink more!"

Finally, Qin Yan showed some reaction. She abruptly slammed her document folder onto the table and stood up, reaching out to grip Yinyin’s small arm tightly and pulling her close.
