The Cold-hearted CEO's Unwanted Bride -
Chapter 329: Do you need me to help Mr. Bo sign the document as well?
Chapter 329: Chapter 329: Do you need me to help Mr. Bo sign the document as well?
Bo Yunshen paused.
The only cases Xu Lin would personally deliver to the hospital are major projects, most of which bring tremendous benefits to the company.
So, Qin Yan said this to bait him, trying to make him admit his fault and bow down, right?
But he’s not that easy to manipulate!
Bo Yunshen sneered coldly, his expression unruffled. He casually picked up a document and placed it in Qin Yan’s hands: "Read this for me!"
"I’m in pain, my movements are limited."
Qin Yan paused while holding the document. "So, do you need me to sign it for you too, Mr. Bo?"
Bo Yunshen turned his head slightly and cast a faint glance at Qin Yan.
Shameless. She doesn’t even try to hide her blatant desire for power, right in front of him!
Did she really think anyone could just waltz in and become the Bo Group’s CEO?
Bo Yunshen gave Qin Yan another indifferent glance.
The two remained at a standoff when the door to the hospital room was knocked on, and a woman in a crimson dress entered.
It was Lin Man.
She carried a thermal food container in her hands. Wearing five-centimeter heeled sandals, her walking posture was graceful and charming, catching the eye.
Lin Man walked directly to Bo Yunshen’s bedside. "Yunshen, you..."
Before she could finish her sentence, her eyes reddened slightly.
"Yunshen, I left yesterday without waiting for you to come out."
"You and Yanyan are the talk of the town right now, and besides, I had Mr. Gu inform Uncle and Aunt about everything. Staying here would only add trouble for you."
"You... won’t blame me for that, will you?"
Her watery eyes looked up at Bo Yunshen, her gaze carrying a trace of regret.
Bo Yunshen’s lips curled faintly. "How could I?"
He glanced at Lin Man, then at Qin Yan, who was seriously reading the document, his lips curling further.
Women like Manman are what one truly calls a lady. Qin Yan, on the other hand—if she hadn’t schemed her way into his life back then, she’d probably end up alone for the rest of her days.
Three years of charity work, he thought sarcastically.
With this thought, his mood inexplicably lifted, and his gaze fell on the thermal food container Lin Man was holding:
"Manman, what’s in your hands?"
Upon hearing him, Lin Man hurriedly placed the container on the bedside table. "Yunshen, it’s chicken soup I made for you this morning!"
"I hope you recover quickly!"
Lin Man’s voice was gentle, tantalizingly sweet. Even Qin Yan, who’d maintained an expressionless demeanor till now, couldn’t help but glance sideways at her.
Coincidentally, Lin Man turned her head, and their gazes met. Lin Man licked the corner of her lips. "Yanyan, you won’t mind, will you?"
"Certainly."
Qin Yan stood up, vacating the chair in front of the hospital bed. Her tone was low and emotionless: "A guest is always welcome. Miss Lin, please have a seat!"
Lin Man froze for a moment before Qin Yan added, "Mr. Bo just finished his breakfast not long ago, so his stomach might not be empty yet. Miss Lin’s chicken soup can wait a while before Mr. Bo tries it."
Bo Yunshen’s eyes narrowed instantly.
Was Qin Yan trying to put Manman in her place?
The implication being he would eat her breakfast but refuse Manman’s chicken soup?
"Manman, I didn’t quite have enough breakfast earlier, and I’ve been craving chicken soup. Could you pour me a bowl?"
Lin Man’s cheeks flushed bashfully. "Yunshen, it’s my first time cooking, so it might not taste great..."
"Daddy! Mommy!"
Suddenly, Qin Yinyin’s voice rang out in the hospital room, and in a whirlwind, she burst in.
A three-year-old child, short and tiny, darted forward before Lin Man could even react. Qin Yinyin had already leaped onto the bed, using some momentum to land directly on Bo Yunshen.
The impact left Bo Yunshen momentarily breathless, the rough hospital gown grinding against the wounds on his back. The man’s thoughts went blank for a moment as he barely withheld the urge to spit blood.
The next second, a startled shout escaped Lin Man’s lips from beside the bed.
Bo Yunshen instinctively looked over. When Qin Yinyin jumped onto the bed, her foot—whether intentionally or not—had kicked Lin Man.
On Qin Yinyin’s feet were princess sandals he’d bought her, adorned with studs and pink rhinestones that sparkled brilliantly. They were exquisitely gorgeous.
But the prettier they were, the more painful they were when used to kick someone.
Bo Yunshen’s temples began to throb, as his aching back and waist added to his irritation.
His eyelid twitched—Qin Yinyin was definitely doing this on purpose, wasn’t she?
Clearly instructed by Qin Yan in advance, the kid’s little schemes had all been aimed at him while Manman wasn’t around. Now, Qin Yan wouldn’t even spare Manman!
Bo Yunshen’s face darkened as frustration surged. Gritting his teeth, his voice was low with suppressed anger as he said coldly, "Stand still!"
Qin Yinyin blinked her eyelashes innocently and obediently climbed down from the bed, standing properly on the floor.
She tilted her head, her large, dark eyes blinking as she looked between Lin Man and Bo Yunshen. "Daddy, are you angry? Yinyin didn’t do it on purpose!"
Not on purpose?
Bo Yunshen raised his lids to look at Qin Yinyin. Her gaze sparkled mischievously!
Qin Yinyin actually thought he was blind enough to believe she wasn’t doing it deliberately!
Bo Yunshen tilted his head slightly, about to speak, when Qin Yinyin suddenly tugged on Lin Man’s sleeve. "Aunt Lin Man, I’m sorry. Yinyin didn’t mean it. Please don’t be mad at me."
Lin Man licked her lips and smiled faintly, though her face was pale. She hid her hand, which had been kicked, behind her back, whispering, "It’s okay. Aunt isn’t hurt!"
Qin Yinyin grinned. "I knew Aunt Lin Man wouldn’t be so petty!"
"So that means Daddy definitely won’t be mad either, right?"
Bo Yunshen: "..."
He cursed inwardly. He’s furious! How could he not be?!
The injuries he sustained were all from saving Qin Yan, yet here she was sending her little troublemaker to torment him?!
What angered him the most was that even though he was clearly furious, he couldn’t admit it openly thanks to Qin Yinyin’s provocation!
This little brat must have been born specifically to drive him crazy!
Bo Yunshen closed his eyes briefly, licking his lips before turning his piercing gaze toward Qin Yan, who was watching as if all of this had nothing to do with her:
"Director Qin, please keep a closer watch on your daughter!"
Qin Yan raised her eyelids slightly to look at the little girl standing on the floor. "Why are you here?"
The driver at the door spoke up, "Fourth Young Madam, the little miss insisted on seeing her daddy and mommy. Sir and Madam couldn’t handle her, so they asked me to bring her here."
Qin Yan nodded. "Where are Dad and Mom now?"
The driver hesitated for a moment before finally replying, "Madam feels things have been a little off lately, so she’s gone to the temple to burn incense and dispel bad luck."
"Sir stayed home today. When I was leaving, I saw his personal doctor arriving—probably to check on his health..."
Qin Yan gave a small nod.
"Since Yinyin is here, you can go back for now. I’ll handle things here."
"Understood!"
The driver was very obedient to Qin Yan’s orders, which made Bo Yunshen’s expression even more peculiar.
Qin Yan’s figurative love potion, it seemed, hadn’t just worked on the old man but had also thoroughly captivated everyone around him!
