Chapter 303: Chapter 303: Yunshen, I know, you won’t touch me

Qin Yan had a look of helplessness on her face.

"Yunshen, stop playing around, okay?"

It was as if a bucket of cold water was poured over him, the flames inside Bo Yunshen’s body were extinguished halfway.

Qin Yan’s slender arms wrapped around him, the two of them intimate, like lovers deeply in love for years.

Qin Yan paused for a moment, then said softly, "Even if you want to punish me, you shouldn’t force yourself!"

"Yunshen, I haven’t forgotten a single word of what you said this afternoon!"

Bo Yunshen’s body was burning hot, his large hand gripping the dangerous edge of her nightgown. Because of her words, he froze.

Oh, right.

This afternoon, he had said, even if all the women in the world died, he still wouldn’t like her!

At this moment, bringing it up—did Qin Yan want to provoke him? Or was she deliberately trying to humiliate him?

His gaze burned, tinged with a faint trace of desire, elusive yet present.

With a hint of unwillingness, he struggled for a moment. Though it wasn’t visible, his fingertips still wandered across her body.

Qin Yan bit her lower lip and said softly, "Yunshen, I know you won’t touch me!"

Their eyes met, pausing for a long moment before Bo Yunshen raised his lips slightly and spoke in a low voice, "So certain?"

If Lin Man hadn’t returned, she might not have been so sure!

After all, men are creatures driven by their desires.

But ever since Lin Man left, Bo Yunshen had chosen to seek out starlets, order princesses, never touching her. Now that Lin Man was back, the chances were even slimmer!

"You’re my wife. Whatever I do to you is legal!"

Bo Yunshen leaned close to Qin Yan’s ear, his tone low as he said, "Otherwise, Director Qin, do you think the marriage certificate you tricked my mother into taking home three years ago was just for decoration?"

His breath sank lower, causing Qin Yan’s body to tremble. She quickly grabbed onto Bo Yunshen, terrified of losing control in front of him, even more fearful of losing composure before him.

"Yunshen, have you forgotten about Miss Lin?"

Her voice broke the silence, nearly simultaneously causing Bo Yunshen’s body to instantly stiffen.

She counted to three inwardly. Before finishing, Bo Yunshen suddenly rolled off her and lay flat beside her.

Qin Yan’s clothes had been torn by Bo Yunshen. Though still on her, they hung precariously, barely even worth wearing.

As Bo Yunshen moved off her, she instinctively grabbed the thin blanket and covered herself.

He lay there for only a moment before failing to suppress the emotions surging within him. Rising from the bed, he entered the bathroom.

Half an hour later, Bo Yunshen came out, wearing only a pair of shorts. He walked toward the bed while drying his hair with a towel.

His upper body was bare, muscular and defined, water droplets still sliding down his firm physique. Every movement carried an undeniable allure.

Bo Yunshen sat down in the single armchair beside the bed, his eyelashes lowered, saying nothing, resembling a large predator silently waiting in the shadows.

Qin Yan paused, then heard Bo Yunshen’s voice drift over:

"Qin Yan, I’m asking you—is Yinyin really my child?"

As soon as Bo Yunshen asked, he froze.

His mind had been brimming with venomous remarks designed to pierce Qin Yan’s heart, yet he blurted out this question instead.

His lips pressed tightly together, his gaze frosty and piercing.

Qin Yan must be ecstatic, he thought. She’d undoubtedly claim that Yinyin was his child, maybe even use this as another opportunity to demand more from him for her "daughter of convenience."

And yet...

Qin Yan was momentarily stunned by Bo Yunshen’s question.

She bit her lower lip, never imagining that one day, Bo Yunshen would confront her directly with that question.

Could it be that Lin Man had said something to Bo Yunshen after her return?

Qin Yan felt uneasy. Yinyin was all she had, and she wouldn’t let anyone take her child away no matter what!

"Mr. Bo, didn’t the police already give you definitive answers?"

"You should be clear about it in your heart, so why ask me again?"

Bo Yunshen’s eyes flickered briefly with something undefinable. His tone sank, cold and firm: "I want you to say it yourself!"

Bo Yunshen’s gaze burned fiercely, his piercing eyes locking onto Qin Yan.

Deep within her, a terrifying thought began to emerge—perhaps...

Bo Yunshen wanted her to admit that the child was his!

Qin Yan pinched her fingertips, her heart restless. She had just opened her mouth to respond when a sentence from Lin Man suddenly echoed in her ears:

"Yanyan, I really like Yinyin!"

Qin Yan instinctively clenched her lips. Before Lin Man’s return, she had still been capable of deceiving herself, but now everything was different. Especially after witnessing how Bo Yunshen treated Lin Man.

Once again, doubt consumed her. Had Lin Man said something to Bo Yunshen?

Qin Yan’s mind was a tangled mess. After a long hesitation, she finally made up her mind and closed her eyes briefly before saying coldly, "Yinyin has nothing to do with Mr. Bo!"

The air instantly solidified.

Qin Yan’s heart seemed to stop beating, her chest cavity tightening as though each breath she took slashed at her insides like a blade.

Her inner world was drenched in blood.

Qin Yan’s eyelashes fluttered as if enduring interminable suffering.

She tried to comfort herself by thinking: It doesn’t matter—after all these years, Yinyin never had a father by her side. Why bother telling him?

Whether he believed or not, it didn’t matter. Lin Man had returned. She was terrified—terrified that Bo Yunshen still harbored the desire to marry Lin Man. When that time came, how could a powerless and insignificant woman like her compete with the influential and formidable Bo Family for custody?

Qin Yan silently stared at Bo Yunshen’s eye sockets. Shrinking further under the blanket, she appeared completely devoid of any presence. Her lips tugged faintly, and a forced smile curled at the corner of her mouth as she spoke softly: "Mr. Bo, may I sleep now?"

Bo Yunshen leaned back against the single armchair, his expression unreadable.

He licked his lips slightly, a silent chill spreading across the otherwise temperate room.

"Get out!"

The two words, seemingly brimming with suppressed anger, pierced Qin Yan like a sharp blade, breaking her heart open and letting her blood flow freely.

Firmly, she refused to move. Perhaps it was because she wanted answers to everything that had happened eleven years ago.

Qin Yan smiled stubbornly: "What does Mr. Bo mean by this?"

"Upset? Just because I said the child isn’t yours?"

Bo Yunshen’s mind was raging with waves of emotion. Qin Yan really was vain enough to flatter herself!

Was he angry? Yes, he was—angry with himself for not being firmer in his decision to avoid marrying such a fickle-hearted woman!

Did Qin Yan think he was madly in love with her, that he couldn’t live without her?

"Ridiculous! Do you think I, Bo Yunshen, can’t have as many children as I want?"

"Director Qin, the reason I insisted on asking you is to make you understand your bargaining chips!"

Bo Yunshen sneered coldly. "Thankfully, Director Qin still has some awareness, unlike your dear friend. She schemed so hard for you, only for it all to end without any gain!"

Qin Yan narrowed her eyes at Bo Yunshen and said, "Mr. Bo, what do you mean by that?"

Qin Yan’s heart sank with a wave of unease. She only had one good friend—Lu Xiangxiang. Could it be that last night, Bo Yunshen went to Lu Xiangxiang’s home and heard something from her?
