"You’ll know when the time comes." Xia Qingtian didn’t answer Bo Jingyan’s question but said mysteriously.

As she spoke, she pushed Bo Jingyan away who was blocking her. Standing up and picking up her bag, she said, "Come on, follow me."

With no choice, Bo Jingyan followed her.

Soon, they arrived at their destination.

"Is this the reward you mentioned?" Bo Jingyan raised an eyebrow, asking with a teasing smile.

"Yes." Xia Qingtian replied, grinning like a sly fox. "The boss appreciates you and is willing to treat you to dinner. This is the greatest reward for an assistant."

As she spoke, she held Bo Jingyan’s hand and walked into the restaurant together.

After dinner, they still had time so they decided to go for a stroll in the mall.

Xia Qingtian had previously joked that her reward for Bo Jingyan was to treat him to dinner. But she planned to buy something else for Bo Jingyan. Despite him not needing anything, it was the thought that counts.

While walking, they ended up in a men’s clothing store.

Xia Qingtian led Bo Jingyan into the store, planning to buy him a few ties. Although he had plenty of ties already, the colors and styles seemed to be almost always identical.

She felt Bo Jingyan should try a different style; perhaps it would create a new feel.

Shortly, she picked out two new ties and brought Bo Jingyan in front of the mirror comparing which tie suited his character more. Unfortunately, neither seemed to be suitable.

Soon, she spotted a dark blue tie and somehow felt it suited Bo Jingyan perfectly.

As Xia Qingtian reached out for the tie, another hand was also reaching for that same tie. Seeing who was reaching for it, she almost burst out laughing.

Because the owner of that hand was no one other than Shi Qian.

She couldn’t help but marvel at their depth of fate. Simply out shopping with Bo Jingyan, and they had run into each other. She hardly knew what to say.

Since Bo Jingyan was there too, even though disguised and unrecognizable, she didn’t want to cause unnecessary complications.

Xia Qingtian shrugged, let go of the tie, and said to Shi Qian, "You can have it if you like it."

Shi Qian initially wore a smile, but when she saw Xia Qingtian, her face changed to disgust. "I don’t want it. It’s too gross to think your grubby hands have touched it," she snapped.

"Anyway, I’ve given it up. You can take it or leave it." Xia Qingtian said nonchalantly and then, holding Bo Jingyan’s hand, turned to leave.

Only then did Shi Qian notice that Xia Qingtian hadn’t come alone.

Seeing them leave hand in hand, her breath hitched. She recognized that silhouette! It was Bo Jingyan’s!

Why was Xia Qingtian with Bo Jingyan?

Had they made up?

Realizing this, Shi Qian’s face filled with gloomy anger. Xia Qingtian, that despicable woman, had already divorced Brother Jingyan and even had Huo Qilin, yet dared to hang onto Brother Jingyan.

No wonder she so readily gave her the tie. It must be out of guilt.

"Stop!" she shouted abruptly, then immediately caught up with Xia Qingtian, grabbing her arm tightly.

Xia Qingtian felt a sudden sharp pain in her arm.
